Description : These percussion loops are all made from found sounds recorded with Koala Sampler. They sound pretty basic and rough on their own, but if you layer them over a 4x4 house kick they come to life and add real groove to your track. I used Alligator on the sounds to add a bit of rhythmic filtering and a room reverb as well.

Description : I made a new rumble rack using only Reason devices. These rumbles are all from the RD-9 as source samples, then fed through a rumble chain of reverb, delay, overdrive distortion and filter. Finally I used the Pump device to shape the rumble. I wanted to try to do the same type of rumbles I can do in Ableton in the Reason rack - the results are pretty hard-hitting.

Description : Just a nice thick house beat made with ReDrum. MPC 55% swing added to the percs for extra groove. UFX Room Reverb also used (very subtle). Eight bars for more variety. I like the kick on this - from my RD-9 but with three layers of drive and compression.

Description : For my final found sounds loop for the day I have made a top loops that fits Deep House beautifully, with the all-important MPC-style swing that makes Deep House so groovy. Add a kick drum and you're away. No much in the way of FX here, just subtle reverb and buss compression.

However, this time I have combined them with a synthesized 808 kick made with BD-808-Pro (now free got get it) and used the ReGroove mixer for more swing on the found sounds.
