I am wanting to work more towards positive expression for sure. However, I think there's something to be said for the first person or even negative expression. Sometimes it's not only healing for the artist to get it out but also for some listeners, who feels like someone "gets" them. There's been a few times where I've been messaged about what good it did someone to know they weren't alone.
At the end of the day, though, we need to live what we believe. I know I fall short of that all the time, when as you said so many are lost and blind in this dark world. As lights, we should shine. Thanks for your well wishes, and again cheers for being a light! This encourages me also to be more of one!
Hey Jenny. Thank you for your kind words. I guess it's easier to write negative and meaningless rubbish, but to keep everything in a positive light in this darkened world takes a little more insight and care. I remember when I used to write lyrics in the first person. Now it's not about me anymore, it's about the lost and the blind. May God keep you safe and give you wisdom. Be strong Jenny. Peace and love. - Mr.B
