You might think of Tom Waits maybe. The same kind of by whiskey affected low pitched voice. Again, I love Shamoozey's acpella's, even more so when he is speaking. It is so full of soul and experience. i might say that my track adds to the vocals, not the other way around.

Needs a little " TLC " though...And I know you can do it....
The Acoustic Guitar is just outside it's true dynamic range, so it interferes
with the melody...Instead of flow you've got a fight, if you get my drift...
Simple Remedy: Pull the 2 tracks back and look at her voice like it's her body
you want to slide those guitars right up under her Butt....
Meaning no disrespect HERE.... That way she is sitting on top of them, you
will still have that big sound that you're looking for but her voice would shine
the way it should...And the mix would not have a cloud over it...
This song has a lot of potential don't want to jerk it around...

I do like this one and feels it's pretty unusual though I still have some problems with some aspects of the sound though I don't think I can make it any better.
But there's still some movement that just really gets me every time, such as the main bassline starting a 1:42 (which was constructed from different bits of processed guitar and bass guitar playing), the strings, guitar and so on.
At one point in life, everyones light goes out the only thing that matters...
Are the memories you can bring with you, cause all of this and all of that
got to stay here...Can't bring nothing your soul has not digested.... :-)
Look at the stars at night, some shine brighter than others and some
never shine so it is written...
Love the clean pop in the mix, simple and true to form lock the groove....
