Hej, RÃ¥tt. Impressive tune. As the Stanley Cup playoffs are getting deep here in Canada I could hear this tune used as a highlight reel song on Hockey Night in Canada, which is a real honor here. I really like how you use the bass line to anchor minor 7th chords on the guitar strums and picks to really create the gravitas and raw meat of the tune. And the breakdown with the piano was sublime and so tasteful. I really enjoyed my listen tonight both as a punter and as a musician for two entirely different reasons. Well done.
Thank YOU, sir! Realy means a lot from you. I was super dissapointed when leafs were kicked off, Flames are preatty surprising this season. Thanks again!
Thank you, Crucethus. Modern, yes. Contemporary, no. But at least I'm still hanging on. I have a line in one of my songs that goes, "One thing to know about me, I just keep going." And it's true! Thanks you as always for your support.
So from a mastering point of view, I would go back and put Fab Filter,s Saturn, and use the warm tube amp on the guitars to soften the sound and soften the plate reverb. Otherwise cool and nice work. I've been watching the new episodes of Kids in the Hall on Amazon prime and their theme song has that awesome surf sound.
You guys are being too nice on this one. It's not good to encourage me, you know. Consider yourselves warned. I may do something REALLY ridiculous.
Thank you thank you thank you for this comment and all the comments throughout the years.
Well now, It's interesting to hear someone is still doing Dubstep. This is sweet. The beginning actually has a reggae feel, so you're touching close to the early dubstep roots, but then it has that Skrillex bro-step feel that many of us quickly got tired of. I think, If you keep melding the original roots of the genre (circa 2001-2004)you will find artistic bliss. the sound engineering was not bad. what DAW do you use?. good work overall
Thats exactly what im going for! Ive notice that alot of people missed skrillex's 2014-2016 dubstep. so im just trying to either try and fill the place that skrillex sort of left or be known for that specific style :) and far as people getting tired of the brosteppy feel i agree i got tired listening to the same old beat style...but just like fashion cycling its self every decade so does music genres, and i intend to be there when it happens to bro step :) and i use Fl Studio kind sir!
I got a real "Sympathy for the devil" vibe from this one. it's a good tune, as Ben has stated it's in the mix, levels, and finally the mastering where you need this song to be elevated to the rightful lofty status it deserves. I need those vocals brought up louder. the only reason they are not is that you probably don't feel comfortable yet singing. This is where a taskmaster producer comes in handy kicking you in the gonads to bring that sound up. I would also bring aboard some Ozone 9 from Izotope to widen the mix with the relay, especially with those guitars. and maybe subtly add in Valhalla Supermassive for some space. Right now it sounds like a proper 4 track demo made in a basement. I can't wait to hear what ben does with it. If you need another perspective I can always lend a hand as well.
Good work.
Steven
Thanks a lot Steven! The Stones and especially SFtD are some of my favourites, so I'll take that :)
You're right about the vocals, both regarding the mix and the confidence, and yes I'll work on both.
I'm very interested in the tools you mention, so I'll give those a try :)
And thank you for offering your help! You bet I will take you up on that, always much appreciate your work and help matey!!
Chicago, sigh. It's been 1993 since I have been there. I think You captured it. And you have such talented production help. I love that percussion at 2:13 on. Amazing song and sound, well-done mate!
You're right, I guess If we were out there in an uncontrolled way, we'd be lost in space.
Thank you so much for listening - we're glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers,
Micky
Very upbeat melody. nice chord structure with that 7th put in there on the 7th bar.. What I would love to hear are some more intricate percussions and some build-up. Right now its a pretty straightforward house tune that has a lot of potentials to build on. So keep on this one mate, it's good, just needs some more variety.
cool, nice asymmetrical pong on the snare. Great frequency spread on the mix as well. Synth pads are ethereal. Nice build of synths at the end to bring together the whole piece. Nice work!
Bonjour, raw and authentic. The subjects close to our hearts and soul will always make the most passionate music. I am sorry for your struggles. Not everyone in this world understands the diversity of us as human beings. And it is ever the more painful when intolerance comes from your own family. Consider us your second family that will embrace your talent with no strings and no judgment, we like you just the way you are. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Oh my, that bassline was so Penthouse and Pavement (heaven 17). White boy funk (era tag)! So many good things going on in this one. nice Phased Pad. Catchy Chorus! Good solid tune mate!
Believe it or not, I've been trying unsuccessfully to get permission for a (non-commercial) cover version of (WE DON'T NEED THIS) FASCIST GROOVE THANG from their company for years...
I do get a Zappa vibe on the vocals.
but it's that synth solo in the background that I love. Hypnotic and psychedelic as always, ever-changing and ever interesting. Great work my friend (PS nice use of the bongos, subtle but fitting) You get 5 Mushrooms for this one

It's real easy for me to fall down the Percussion rabbit hole never to be seen again. LOL.
Thank you for your listen and encouraging comments.
It's like two different songs, beautifully chill in the beginning, and then it's like you had that double espresso, but it wears off and your chill again. Kind of a good musical metaphor for many people's lives on a daily basis my friend. Well done.
Thank you sir! means a lot, do u mean Valhalla Supermassive? no, but I do have Valhalla Vintage Verb also using Shimmer from time to time. but il check out the supermassive reviews for sure.
Dude!! here's what I like about this one. You have combined two sounds that I like, one being from Bulgaria (deep zone project) for the bass, and the Phrygian melodies and traditional middle eastern melodies like (Acid Arab) which are French. I almost wanted to hear the vocals with less auto-tune and a more natural sound as I love the mix of technology with tradition. very good, and I will keep my eye on you . 3 songs to give u an idea of what I am saying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ruq-Td7wy0

At first I read "1933", I was going to say "Damn, you're really old). Then I saw "1993" and I said "Damn I'm really old). LOL.
I tell Mark all the time he sounds just like he's playing a real Drum set. There is no difference between what he does live or in a DAW. He's amazing.
Thanks for stopping by and giving the track a listen and for the encouraging comments.
Hope we didn't disappoint you.
