Wonderful Song. I have to repeat myself: the vocals from Carole are simply wonderful and you have used them in a beautiful way. Maybe it could have been interesting to hear a more "complex" text but repeating the bits you have worked pretty well.
The drums are perfect: love the fill at 2:05
The overall drum sound is incredibly tight and "professional".
Kudos to Franco as well: his guitar work is very balanced and subtle. Exactly what the song needed.
The arrangement deserves some good notes as well. Maybe some more variations on the keyboard pattern could help, but it's a minor thing.
In one word: superb!
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks allot, Domenico. If not mistaken, the pellas were a combination of three, so Franco pieced them together. Wish we'd have had more. Thanks for the kind words on the drums.
The music is funky and well arranged. Like the bass and guitar work. Clean and straight to the target. Good.
The vocals are outstanding. Very good.
The mix can be improved I think: sometime it is a bit "thin". I wouldn't change anything on the vocals, but the rhythm section needs some sonic-reinforcement.
Really love the vocal part. Beautiful. Simply Beautiful!
I am not so fond of the "weird-fx" but the rest is really perfect. I also liked the reverse-voice. Nice touch.
Ciao, Domenico
Oh hello Domenico ! Happy you listened and commented this ( and mentioned these reverse vocals which I like a lot ) .
I'm glad you enjoyed this track even if this is not really your cup of tea .
How you're doing fine .
Bises
Thankyou, I see what you mean, but I guess thats the idea of the song and the idea of taking off, just 4 chords going up and up on an ednless journey than climaxing. I didnt feel the need to continue the track from there. The peak felt like a nice place to end it.
"First song of an album", im incredibly honured, thanks for the kind words my friend
Very "professional". Good work.
It deserves to be used in a movie...and thanks toBehnam we already have the storyboard...we just need a producer willing to put some money in it :-)
Ciao, Domenico
The wonderful thing s that I just start studies in Art and Litterature and I will specialize in Cinema & Communication. So technically, all I need is more skill and a budget ! :P
And if someone hre is cineast and want to pic my song I got no problem with that, simply send me the final result and put credits. Oh and it's for non-commercial use. :)
I see that you are following MrNomad's comments, so you are in good hands
Anyhow,I will still add my two cents: intro is perfect.
The quick part does not sound as powerful as it should, but honestly I think it is a matter of mix: you have all the elements you need but the powerful ones are not loud enough.
Keep on the good work: we have some really interesting stuff here.
Ciao, Domenico
PS have you thought of a vocal part for this song?
Don't know why but I could imagine something like Marilyn Manson going on....
Hello sir. I suppose by the quick part, you are indicating the second half. This was it's own thing for a while, only about 1:00 long and I tried sticking it on the end of this darker build up that needing a release. Kinda worked, kinda sounds too different from each other. These two halves are still in the scrapyard looking for a permanent home. Thanks again for the feedback, I appreciate it always.
Very interesting track, professionally produced.
The mix is very well balanced and the arrangement is good.
I am not a dance music expert, but I think your product could compete with a lot of the "big" releases.
Good work!
Ciao, Domenico
Thank you mrwolf14, I'm humbled by your comments. I'm currently in school for music production so hopefully my money is not going to waste..lol. Like I've said in previous comments, the fact that someone so far away from me and from a completely different culture can vibe to my music is absolutely awesome!I really am thankful for your critique.
It took me 26 seconds to like this song.
You are a genius!
Brilliant use of the vocals, very good mix, good song.
Looking for more (and I usually don't listen to dance music...)
Domenico
Great song evisma! Enjoyed every bit of it.
I like the section at 2:52, good darkish bass progression with a good interaction with guitars. Liked.
My favorite moment is the final section, starting around 4:16. Again good bass work and a very interesting piano section.
Well done!
Ciao, Domenico
Hi Kenny!
Really good energetic dance track!
As usual, I really like the way you choose your sounds.
The "fragmented" sound that kicks in around 1:30 is really wonderful: I know it is only a sound, but it is so "unrelated" to the mood of the rest of the song that it creates a beautiful contrast.
Liked it!
Ciao, Domenico
Interesting song.
A lot of nice riffs thrown at this wall.
I really think your ideas deserve to be developed further and reach the form of a complete song.
Ciao, Domenico
Cool! I really enjoyed this track.
Love the flanger on the bass, it works well with your sound.
Good ideas, the guitar fits very well.
The drums are a bit in the background in this song, but this is fine: it leaves more room for the bass!
Good job.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: one possible improvement could be the timing of the bass around 3:20 (it is not as accurate as it could be)
Thank you for the listen and the feedback, I always appreciate the opportunity to make things better. When after hearing the same track 300 times in production, you need fresh ears to find the nettles or the berries.
Great song Mark!
Already said several times, but I will say it once more: you have a great voice! Very interesting!
I really enjoyed the instrumental section starting around 1:45: good bass, nice solo and I find also interesting the effect on the voice which introduces this section.
Take care,
Domenico
Simply love the double bass. The chords which come around 0:50 are also great.
Not so fond of the "strange-break" around 1:20 (very quick by the way, so it's definitely not a bad thing).
Overall a great track!
Looking forward to hearing what our mic-men can do with it!
Five stars beat!
Ciao, Domenico
I know what you mean, thanks for the feedback. This track was set together in an hour or two so didn't go through all the details yet. I don't like the first effect either, the reverse bass before the beat after that I like though.
Cheers! :)
simple and brilliant
The pella is very good, but man you make it really shine
Love the bass (as many others already said) and the choice of sounds for the drums and synths.
Hi TopVega,
Good song. I am not sure you need a vocal part: maybe a keyboard player who could keep your pace would be more beneficial than a singer. Just an idea...
Liked & downloaded it.
Take care, Domenico
Hey Domenico, I think I agree with you on the no vocals. It's a little busy to be sung over. Will look into adding a keyboard or two to make up for no vocals. Appreciate the support and the input.
Hi gfdeux!
I am glad to see you have composed a song with one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.
That said, your track is not bad: I can hear a lot of good ideas. Maybe it lacks a bit of a "definite" direction, but I definitely enjoyed listening to it.
My personal highlights:
- the guitar work (the palm-muted arpeggio) really good
- bass sound and riff (simple, but solid)
Ciao, Domenico
Hi DjoeGio,
This song is very well done. I like how you integrated the voices of Patricia and Janis: the refrain from Janis is so simple and yet so beautiful.
And the spoken words of Patricia are a bit "naive" but maybe just for this so touching.
Just one remark: I am not so convinced by the end of the song, nothing wrong with fading out, but given the outstanding level of all the rest of the song I was expecting something more. But maybe this is one of the "musts" in the dance genre (which I have to admit I don't know at all)
Good work.
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks for your comment! I thought long and hard about the fade out. I had a song that was 3 minutes long and ok. But than I tried different kinds of fade-outs and I liked this one because you can here the refrain without the voice of Janis. It kind of invites you to sing along. I hoped. But you're right, this is really the style they use in dancematerial.
Wonderful song. Simply wonderful.
The guitar is outstanding: loved the first solo, simply beautiful. Maybe the rhythm guitar could be a bit more present in the mix (?)
And the "theme" which is played at "unisono" with the singer is great.
The drums, what can I say here... what a great drummer!
Very well played and with a great technique.
Only "improvement" possible, maybe the fill-solo around 2:30 (I like the idea of going "rock" for few seconds, but the tom-fills are a bit "too much" in my humble opinion). The second time this is done in a more subtle way and I liked it more (around 4:10)
I almost forgot the sax solo... wow!
Definitely a professional track.
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful piece of music with us.
Looking forward to hearing more from you!

Thanks allot, Domenico. Very concise comment. I'm getting quite a master's class in Latin and Brazilian music (this is Scott, BTW) in my collaborations with Franco and his pals. I've studied the styles, but had very little opportunity to put it to use.
Good song Kenny!
Really nice how you merged the guitars (outstanding guitarists by the way) with a clubbing music background.
I really enjoyed it!
