My favorite point is the rap-part around 0:40: very tight and really flowing nicely.
Agree with the others: the choir adds a nice smooth touch.
I think you could improve a bit the way it ends: a bit too "sudden". And the first stop at 0:28 is nice, but the way the song re-starts can be improved.
All in all... you have a very good song in your hands man!
Ciao, Domenico
good track!
I of course enjoyed the guitar and the drums, nice "solo" at 3:12 ... in my headphones the level of drums is a bit too low on the rest of the song... I need to listen again on a bigger system :-)
Really like the bass part: is it midi?
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks, Domenico. This was another that I had almost finished and thought of checking with Franco to see if he could add something to it, so he did the tasteful guitar parts. Yes, the bass is midi.
Hi TV,
Good to see one of your tunes here...
I have to second what the others said: your production has improved. You still manage to keep that "live-played" feeling that I appreciate so much in your work, but this song is more polished.
Adding voice to this is not "strictly needed" as it works well also without, but I have to admit that I would be really curious to see what can come out of this with the right vocal track on it :-)
Take care, Domenico
Thanks Domenico, I have tried hard to get better at the production part of recording. I must admit that on occasion I find it some what more interesting than the actual playing of the instruments themselves. You really get to shape the sound and it gives you a lot of creative room to bring the song to life. I was going to leave it without a vocal but Spivkurl has given me an idea to take it in a Doorish vibe. Might sit down and try and workout something in a Mr Mojo Risin vain.
Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen and for leaving some feedback. It is greatly appreciated my friend.
Hi WindCity,
This is a good track.
I like how you "respected" the voice of Farisha, leaving enough room to her beautiful part (a bit too much autotune, as she also says in the acapella's notes, but very intense).
The work on the bass is good: few well chosen notes. Good (in a bass line, the notes you don't play are more important than the ones you play).
Liked the piano: have you used a loop or is it your work?
In any case: very smooth and warm. Well Done!
I could see this song with a different drumkit, but this is only my (very humble) opinion.
Overall, a good track!
Thanks for sharing it with us.
Ciao, Domenico
Thank you much Domenico- You enlightened me with what you said about bass lines; If I can keep what you said at the top of my consciousness when finding a bass part I really think the effort will be more efficient (.."the notes you don't play are more important than the ones you do play") ha! yeah, every drummer should know that!
The piano is from a Sony Creative Labs loopset
I tend to agree about the drumkit though...I will replace most of the drum loops I use by tweaking my Roland and playing them myself a little later.
First of all, this is a great execution.
Clap clap clap clap clap clap... standing ovation to our maestro!
There is not so much to criticize: the part that I liked less is the beginning with the slow-down effect (I would not repeat it twice or make it more subtle, my personal opinion).
What I liked most:
- 0:28 wonderful how the two guitars work together (specially towards the end of the "solo" before the "theme" starts).
- Tone and expression at 0:59 ... the softness creates a beautiful contrast with the sparse chords you play
- the clarity of the execution: you are a very gifted man my friend, a superb musician and a very talented player.
I am so glad that you shared this with all of us.

Good track. I really enjoyed it.
I think you could improve the dynamic range: the bass is pretty flat, the drums have some very good moments but in some points are also quite flat; I would personally try to have more dynamic on the guitar as well, but this really depends on your interpretation, this is your execution, so you are the only one to decide how to render this piece. :-)
Once more: I really liked it.
Ciao, Domenico
Hi Wayne,
Thanks for this new gem. The song is very good, but what really stroke me is the clarity and the definition you have in your mix: outstanding.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: maybe you could also add a couple of verses... you know that I like how you sing and your voice would perfectly fit on this one :-)
Thanks Domenico! Still lots of learning to do with Ableton but I am finally getting happier with my mixes. I wasn't planning to sing on it but thanks for the nice words of encouragement!
I have to agree to Scott: great track!
Lot of "things" going on, good sax, intriguing guitar.
I really enjoyed it and I am marking it as a favorite to hear it later (since I cannot download...)
Thanks!
Ciao, Domenico
Good song.
I like your choice of sounds and melodies, interesting combination of "joyful" parts with some darker tones (eg. the glockenspiel mixed with the darker strings and the "hip-hop" drums)
The melodies bring me back to the early 80s: they could have been used in a soundtrack for a Dario Argento movie (definitely In Topic!)
On the mix side, very good job. To my taste, only the hi-hat sounds a bit "apart" from the rest of the drumkit.
That said, thanks for the good time your song gave me (I have already listened it twice!)
Ciao, Domenico
Hi Carole,
Thanks for the nice gift... a new song for your wonderful voice.
And I love it!
Of course there is room for improvement, the sound of the instruments should be refined (have you changed the tempo of the guitar?) and maybe some passages could be changed a bit, but this is another beautiful song. Period.
You are a very talented girl, but you already knew it :-)
Hi My dear friend :D
There's not room for improvement, there's a canyon in which I got lost, haha . Yes, the original tempos of Ferryterry's guitars were 140 and 105 ; and you're right, it should have been more varied ( shameful smile ) .
Thx a lot for your critical approach, Domenico . I do appreciate your pieces of advice and careful listening .
Hope you're fine,
Un abbraccio in return,
Carole
Very good. The quality of the sounds in this track is really high. Well done.
Maybe it is a bit long, but in my case I enjoyed it as it is.
Ciao, Domenico
Thank you for the nice comments on my track Domenico, glad you enjoyed it. Yes the track is a little long as are some of my other tracks, I get new ideas and keep putting more in and end up with some very long tracks.
Thanks again,
Truegrit
Interesting experiment. The chord progression is "standard" but it is well played and the sound comes out surprisingly good (I am assuming you used the built-in microphone of your android device).
As Ed already pointed out, some clips here and there, but I am sure that "slicing" out the clipping parts it should still be possible to extract the loops you need to make a song out of this recording.
I hope you'll find someone to sing on it.
Ciao, Domenico
Yep! Straight through the Droid's mic. The owner recently downgraded the recording quality because initially I was getting some awesome recordings. Of course, that was natural unamplified sounds. It's quiye possible the fidelity of the amp's speaker was producing overtones that the Droid couldn't handle. "LiveN'Learn!" I was ticked when I listened to what I got. I'll try runnig it through some filters to see what I can get out of it. Some mid and high pass filters should do the trick. Anyways... Good thoughts and thanks. :)
Good song. No doubt! Good work, well done!
The "caribbean" feeling is there and I really like how all the instruments have been mixed. Good touch.
Only thing that can be improved: the bass sound on the "high notes" is a bit too "keyboard like", but only in few spots (eg. at 0:34)
But I am now really just picking the smallest details on a perfect song.
I really enjoyed it!
Thanks!
Ciao, Domenico
aaah..yuupp...you are right . bass is played by my Korg Pa 80 (keyboard) and not sound too loud coz i don't like it's sound too much .this was actually made by me and my husband and many of my female friends , but usually we girls neither play bass .thank you very much for comment .it's good to hear from you Domenico .

Hi Behnam,
I take the chance to send you my greetings. Hope everything is well man!
And at the same time I want to say thank you for sharing your "trials" with us: even if the recording quality is not the best, the music is very moving and deep. And that's what matters!
Often we are are after the perfect sound and we forget about the importance of the message.
I like the comment from SeriouslyJoking: it's like if the player is desperately trying to tell us something... something very important to him. And I think this applies to a lot of your music.
how are U my good friend ? wish all is well there out of this vacuumed for U .Domenico I should say thnak U for your worthy attention to my trials . regarding quality of piano for sure I'm quite agree with U and U know thos old softwares and programs like final 2004 and the reason why quality is not good as I have written in description below track too .about ''SJ''as U know our good colleague , I should say I've always enjoyed her beautifull underestanding & worthy personality .and I'm agrree this comment it was one of the most beautifull comments I had seen from her below my trials .and in the end I just should say U know my greatest respects and appreciations about your presence and comment so I won't repeat them . take care & the rest in mail.___Behnam
Great Zappo.
Love this deep bass sound: simple riff but very effective.
The drum sound change around 2:15 "opens up" the song a lot. Well done!
How not to love your work? Respect man!
Hi SJ,
We have a good song here.
I really like the piano part.
I think you still have to figure out how to mix it perfectly with the voice, but please do not remove it: I would rather chop-out the vocal instead!
Do not touch that piano!
I simply love it.
Ciao, Domenico
On no not the vocal!!
Haha - well I'm going to have to think about that. The vocal is of a very poor quality - not the vocalist and the singning but the the sample itself so it's hard to make it sound good in the mix. Or hard to me to do so, anyway.
Thanks for the feedback, Domenico!
Trying to continue working on this shortly.
Hi Paulo, we have tons of good ideas here!
First, I basically agree with the other two comments: given the "speed" of the song, maybe having a more distorted guitar would be better.
I like the initial riff: it makes you shake your head... good!
Maybe here you could work on getting a "tighter" sound (not sure how though, maybe increasing a bit the volume of the bass, which could give some definition to the sound... just wild guesses).
The solo is good: good sound and interesting melodies.
Well done!
Looking forward to seenig this song with a vocal part!
Ciao, Domenico
Wow guys! I am really getting spoiled: you two are creating a lot of awesome songs.
And this time the voice of Bonnie finds a perfect environment: a smooth and jazzy tune for her warm voice. Wonderful!
Only one comment from my side: I may have preferred a version without the brass-section. The atmosphere you build is really warm and in my eyes I picture more a small ensemble playing on a stage. But this is really a minor thing, the song is awesome. Period!
Loved & downloaded.
Thanks again for your wonderful music!

PS: I didn't mention it explicitly, but once more I am impressed by the perfection of the rhythm section, drums and guitar.
