Good track metaled.
Good riffs, dark voice (not my preferred tone but fits perfectly the song) good guitar sound.
Maybe in some points the bass could be a bit more present (IMHO... and I am a bass player, so I may be biased).
Overall, a very good metal song!
Keep the good work: we need more of them!
Ciao, Domenico
Good song man.
Nice mellow piano.
Very interesting voice: I like the way you sing, very intense.
Good lyrics as well (I didn't get 100% the end, but I am not a native speaker, so this may be my fault).
I really enjoyed your song SikStyle.
Good work!
Ciao, Domenico
House music is not really my cup of tea, but I always respect good productions.
I think this song has all of the right elements to become a hit. Good work.
Hope you'll find the singer it deserves.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: actually I am glad we have the genre tag because I can not tell the difference between dance, house, electro ... I know, I am getting old man :-)
Wow! I have no words... this is really good!
Loved the bass part, the drums are very detailed, the solos are all well played and arranged with very good taste.
Standing ovation for Zappo!
Thanks for your music man!
Ciao, Domenico
I liked the song. We have some of The Finest vocal lines here. Really good.
And the lyrics are great: the Final image of someone's secrets kept hidden and warm is very soft and sweet.
Thanks for sharing your Talent with Us.
Ciao, domenico
Thanks man im glad you dig the track. I dont know about defining a genre or anything,..there is a youtube channel called Majestic Casual that has loads of this type of songs,..I listen to it alot lol.
Hi Soleil,
You got already a lot of compliments here, and I can only add that you deserved all of them!
The song is "simple" but you already show good taste.
Keep going girl!
Ciao, Domenico
Simply wonderful!
Even if the quality of the mp3 is bad, I really enjoyed the song. The vocal part is beautiful, the arrangement is "perfect". A real gem!
Maybe you need to still work a bit on the levels and a couple of rough edges, but the track is really professional.
Good work! Will we ever get a "high-quality" mp3 of it?
Ciao, Domenico
ahhhh.... man! This song has a certain EvH taste which really brings me back in time.
In the beginning I was not 100% convinced by the guitar sound but as soon as you moved on the higher notes I was simply loving it!
This is a good song!
Did you ever thought about re-working it and maybe getting somebody singing on it?
Should be really interesting...
Ciao, Domenico
Yeap EVH was one of my favorite guitar players lucky I was able to master a little of his technique. I also wish someone would lay down some vocals for this this is why I had it posted on the loop hoping and praying someone would assist in the vocal area.
Again I really do appreciate your honest comments. I am glad you liked it. I also thought it sounded like Joe Satriani a little.
Good song. Really enjoyed.
Highlights:
- drums (I am more and more impressed by Scott... this one sounds again perfect)
- guitar work (specially the solo, really enjoyed)
- vocals (a bit laid-back, but that fits well the song)
I have also to disagree with Windycity on the mix: maybe there is some room for improvement (easy... there is *always* room for improvement) but I think it is very good.
The only point where I would invest some time if you want is the piano-chords loop: it sounds a bit too "loopy", like if you have recorded a small phrase and looped it over and over.
The song has a nice jazzy feeling and a bit more improvisation on the chords as well could be nice ... or not. It's always a matter of taste :-)
Again: great song!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: You made me curious... I'll go and check your other songs as well.
Thanks for you comments.. I agree with you also the song is really cool. Did not want to over compress it also it is jazz and I wanted a little life into it.
I am a guitar player mostly that tinkers with the piano so that is why is piano sounds loopy. I did my best to try and atleast vary the notes and position and velocity. I do appreciate your comments and really value them.
Wonderful song! The voice of Bonnie is a perfect match for your "easy jazz" style.
Kudos to Franco for the guitar work: amazing! Subtle but very refined.
And Scott on the drums is a guarantee. Loved the fills and the fact they never clashed with the vocal line. Good!
Enjoyed your tune guys!
Ciao, Domenico
I have to use an adjective I never used before... sublime!
This song is simple and straight at the heart: pop of the finest.
No doubt that our friend Soap is a very talented songwriter and his composition works perfectly with your voice Carole.
I am delighted.
And I am really looking forward for your next collaboration.
Ciao, Domenico
PS: I think you should follow Steve's advice and work a bit on the "fine-tuning" of the mix (you have already a very good starting point). He already gave you a couple of good hints (and the man knows the game).
Your words about going straight to the heart makes me very happy, Domenico . It's precisely what I felt when I discovered Chris' MP3 in my mzilbox ...
Thanks a lot for your very gentle words about his music . I do agree with you !!
Thank you very much, my friend .
Bises
Agree with DJMurderer: everything is well placed, piano and bass are really outstanding.
Not much you have to change hear ... we just hope that one of the talented singers here will help you with this.
(I know that we have a very gifted french singer among us, but don't you feel a bit limiting to have your message directed to french speaking persons only?)
Ciao, Domenico
This is great man!
You have so many good elements here. Love the initial guitar riff (I would like to have it doubled by the bass in the break around 1:00 ...I can really hear it in my head).
The brasses are very well done. The rhythm guitar is a classic but you never go wrong with classic.
Really loved this small piece of music.
Ciao, Domenico
Wonderful atmosphere. And full of subtle little things that keep things moving (like the lovely "ReBirth" bass around 2:00 ... simply loved it)
And of course, I love the way you incorporated the speech: I think the "dreamy" waves of this song are a good background for these words.
Definitely a good song.
Interesting track.
You are right, we can hear some of the drum loops "skips" but that's not a problem.
The main bass riff is very catchy. Good!
I think you need to be careful when adding a guitar on top of it: don't let the guitar hide this very nice groove.
And please, in case you add/change anything, post the new version: I would be interested in hearing how this song develops.
Ciao, Domenico
Simple and wonderful: I love the sound of the guitar (thanks to 12Strings for sharing the details of his setup with us) and the vocal part is very "well done".
Nothing to say: very controlled singing and clear tone.
I don't know the original, so I cannot say anything on that point, but I can say that like what I hear!
Good job!
Ciao, Domenico
What a wonderful track Carole!
Perfect! Only one remark: please make more of these!
I think this relaxed and chilly atmosphere is a perfect environment for your voice to fly.
I loved this track. Really.
Take care, Domenico
Hello Domenico :)
Nice to see you here ! How are things ? 'Hope you're fine !
I'm very glad you liked this and stopped by .

Bises
Wow! This felt like time travelling... the spirit of the 70s is all around this track.
I liked everything. Probably it could work well with a good vocal part.
The solo-guitar parts are perfect: not a single rough edge. Good!
The rhythmic part is solid and pleasant. I liked the chord progression.
Overall, a really good song.
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks for the kind words Domenico, they are appreciated. I feel that this is probably my best track to date and one of the few that are done. It could use vocals but even without them it feels complete. Thanks for taking the time to listen and leave a comment. It helps to get feedback.
Great track Spiv!
I think the comparison to Talking-Heads is more due to the "experimental nature" of the track rather than a real musical affinity (I agree with you, they used to be very good but I never heard something like this from them).
The vocals are good: I like the way you "ignore" the tempo and the tuning. And I am not joking: this song conveys a sense or urgency, it's like your voice desperately needs to say something and you don't have time to care of what's around you.
It's like you have to follow your "intention" and you have no time for "reading the signs" which brings you to "cross the line".
I have to say it: this is brilliant!
You are a f***g genius!
Could this song be improved?
Yes maybe you could polish something here and there, but I simply *LOVE* this track as it is.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
Take care, Domenico
Hey thanks so much for listening carefully, and for giving this a fave! I'm honestly just not that great of a vocalist otherwise I'd follow the tempo and key better. I really appreciate your feedback my friend!
Wonderful. The drum is very funky and works definitely well (fits your description, the love of a mother... even more: a grandmother :-)
Beside the outstanding drums, the bass is perfect: short sentences, but full of wisdom.
An instant classic.
Loved.
Ciao, Domenico
Very interesting. I like a lot the idea of the hunting voice panning from one side to the other (I am listening with headphones).
I think you have some "distortion" on the voice (I know that you have added a "chopped-white-noise" sound in background, but I think you have some additional clipping in the vocal track).
The distorted guitar is a nice touch: well done!
Enjoyed this little gem.
Thanks.
