Brilliant.
I need to get ny mojo working and put some frickin effort in!
Great little nuumber this and could gon on for a lot longer if you weren't so damn lazy!
Wow!
I'm just an old wrinkly who has a hobby thinking I'm Hawkwind and the Floyd and Aphrodites Child and so on sat in my cans playing but some of you people have some serious shit going down.
This sounds so pro to me!
Very interesting.
Sounds like it's waiting for a tv spot ... a docu spot I think.
You should promote this toward that end ... BBC or SKY or or or or .... if you do let me know how you set about it.
Gotta be a saleable work of art this one.
I love the wobbly bit that comes in at 1.27!
So unexpected and for some reason it reminded me at that point of LUCKY MAN by Emerson Lake and Palmer where the synth comes in unexpectedly at the end.
This is nothing like that but had a similar effect on me.
Loving it.
It's crying out for some home made lyrics.
Even maybe a nursery rhyme or words rapped from a pop song not a rap song .... rap the pop .... get what I mean?
This whole thing from start to finish is distorted to hell man!
I have no idea how you have gotten this sound and atmosphere and even less understanding of why it works so well.
Done my head in.
If I attempted this level of distortion it would be crap full stop.
You've created something great here and I'd be really interested to see what others would make of it.
I' going to have listen to the rest of your stuff now and it's half two in the bleedin' morning!
Thanks for the kind words. All of my work is done on keyboard only. I running 2 Vsts for the guitar track one is DVS Guitar (free download) using the Soft n' Clear preset. The other is FM8 Vst (Free trial download) using the Crunch Crusher preset (note it will default to some kind of sequencer mode that can be shut off)- I also user Crunch Crusher with a build in effect called talk box to get the Joe Walsh type of talk box effect. Thanks PatD
Interesting thing going on here.
What have you used to put this together and who does the vocals?
I can hear this on a tranny radio late at night in the distance.
Hello Sir,
A friend made the instrumental and i don't even know what he used in creating the beat.
one of my other friends did the vocals on the chorus while i rapped on it. i did a little singing to right after the chorus before the rap verses.
A captivating little piece.
I love the slow build up of tension and expectation and the let down at the end leaves me guessing ... what happened ... what happens next ... oh no ....
Love it and learning from it.
Wow this is so laid back so cool yet so warm and so pro sounding.
I ain't good enough at this mlarky to give any addice or tips but as a listener and a consumer I can only say that sounds near as damn perfect to me.
You have a great voice and style.
Thanks so much Silverman! It was fun to record it and even more fun to tweak the mix. I actually had an opportunity to perform live to this track last weekend. I'd say based on the "Standing O," folks kind of liked it! LOL
Well I'm using and have used a lot of the same gear, that they used then...
Not many things have changed sound wise, and the chord patterns and
formulas have not changed, there are some different tunings...
But that's all...
So in fact it's kinda hard not to sound like or play chords like someone else
has in the past...They were our teachers after all...
A lot of Music was played in the 70's, good luck in trying to find out who...
Wow wow wow!
You really have captured the sixties sound here.
I love it and have downloaded it.
This place amazes every time I log in.
This track reminds me of Richard Hawley ...
There's a Storm a Comin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjmnibuGC80
He puts a lot of time and effort into getting a modern take on fifties sixties sounds.
Fantastic track you've done here.
I still remember your very first dissing comment to me on my 'covers' site when you said I need to 'GET IT TOGETHER.' See, I'm not such a terrible musician after all!
Anyway, 'water under the bridge,' so no heart feelings.
Listened to this twice now and it got even better.
I noticw you have a Jewish Princess and know Bobby Brown ... me too.
As fr 10 cc I used to live near what was then their studio ... Strawberry recording studios Stockport.
Great track.
Oh my lord I love this one!
It's 1972 I'm in my flat in Manchester England and I've just rolled a fat one!
It's dark and I'm just listening ... nothing more just listening.
Been nosying around your tracks this is my favourite.
I feel in no way qualified to critisize anyones stuff but I'm going to.
This is to long.
If this were chopped down into smaller pieces I can hear it at the begining of a comedy sit com or advertising something.
What I'm saying is with a bit of something and I don't know what .... I smell something very very commercial not cheesy.
A sellable product is not to be sniffed at and marked down as cheesy!
Thanks. Pongo-Pongo is an (fictional) island in a Bud Spencer-Terrence Hill movie ("Who finds a friend, finds a treasure" - original title: "Chi trova un amico, trova un tesoro, am").
In Hungary, they are one of the most cultivated (if not simply THE) movie stars ever. :)
I like this too.
Danger .... danger .... go back go back!
Science fiction.
Mystical and yet .... I can hear someone in my head singing the blues to it!!
Like it a lot.
Never heard of you.
Someone mentioned you while commenting on a track of mine.
Came across a comment of yours to someone else and here I am.
I have to say what a compliment it was suggesting that something of mine made them think of you.
Loving your stuff.
Yes you have. I've favourited a couple of your tracks and had a back and forth conversation about one of them - the one featuring only industrial machine sounds that is really quite melodic.
You just didn't remember my name from those discussions.
"I have to say what a compliment it was suggesting that something of mine made them think of you."
Thanks very much. I'm not sure which of my tracks you've checked out or exactly what you thought of this particular one. If you want pop, classical, Afrobeat, punk, gabba, garage, house, grindcore metal and so on - I'm not your guy. But, if you want far out, psychedelic journeys featuring a lot of deep grooves and some strong melodic content, I'm your guy.
Most of my tracks are much longer than this one and also contain loads of guitar, bass and banjo so feel free to check them out. This one was me in a pure electro mode. No instruments played here. But also no samples used.
