Nice moody piece.
Needs a deep smooth male voice to make it complete for me.

on Begining of the World by NINJAHAHN
Not really my kind of stuff this ... bit like the last track I put together not my kind of stuff but my kids were into it so I thought I'd give it a go.
Had a listen and noticed that five people have downloaded it but no one has commented ... very strange.
Had a listen to your other tracks too.
It's obvious you're putting the effort in but I'm suspecting you may well be a little to experimental.
To experimental with a genre that's already faded I think.
People are expecting certain turns phrases spaces ups and downs and because you throw caution to the wind and don't do what's expected it's not grabbing anyones attention long enough.
That's my take on it anyway.
Conform you rebel or .... get experimental in your own creative original kind of stuff maybe.
I think if you want to do this kind of stuff you'll have to conform to certain restraints or completely reinvent it.

on KharmaGuess - Blood - Gnasty Remix by Gnasty
I experience the same kind of thing.
I do everything on headphones.
I then put on a disc and go for a late night drive and listen to it in the car .... it sounds nothing like I expected but it has given me valuable information to go home with.
All the different instruments sounds tracks cannot ever all be at the same volume or it sounds pooh.
It's a brash jangle or a muted mess.
The volumes and the pan (position) should vary throughout the track never staying the same. Sometimes subtley sometimes not so.
Get me sounding like the expert ... I'm not I just do this stuff as my number oner one hobby.
It's a big learning curve for sure.
I'm playing about with loops and VST'S mostly.

Thanks a bunch for the explanation, I am pretty clueless still as far as mastering tracks goes, ill do some research online to learn more about balancing tracks. Thanks again!

on KharmaGuess - Blood - Gnasty Remix by Gnasty
It might be me because ... this is the second track I've had a listen to in the last fifteen minutes and the volume seems all wrong.
The levels know what I mean?
It could well be me though.
Gnasty
Gnasty replied 19th May 2015 - 10 years ago
i kinda know what you mean, it sounds a lot different in my car than in my headphones even though my car has a subwoofer. I am really new to producing and I have heard about mismatched levels before but i dont quite know what it means or how to fix it. Is anything in particular too high or too low? Thanks for the comment by the way, i appreciate it

on Escape by AviatOfficial
I agree about the intro too.
To long and doesn't seem to be in the right tune.
Once the intro has passed what a great piece!
Sounds clean well put together and the important thing for me .... very listenable.
I dont buy music because of how it was put together I buy it because it flicks the right reward swithes in the pleasure centres of my brain and this flicked them switches.
Great littel piece.

Thanks for listening my track and for the feedback.

I'm happy you enjoyed(except the intro LOL)

The beats and chords were not in same pitch.I reworked on it and I guess they are sounding okay now.

Thanks again for listening :)

Wow full of sunshine!
I've been listening to a lot of the dark stuff on here and to then listen to this really feels like a burst of sunshine.
This is not a put down but in the not to distant past I had to watch a lot of Teletubies with a grandchld and this took me to Teletubbie land.
Great potential here for tv stuff.

Very nice.
Very German prog from the eighties with a more updated feel.
Very smooth and well put together.

promenade2239 replied 18th May 2015 - 10 years ago
thank you.

I couldn't expect my production sounding exactly like that at all because firstly I said to Joe that I will create new arrangement of his song and then I also said to bufallonugaluss that I will use his loop. Then I spent 2,5h working with all downloaded materials and it just came out like this. The vocals simply make the entire song.

Thank you again for listening and your kind comments. It is appreciated.

I think the kid is ok. I think he came to his senses and realized that it was a theatrical release as the room filled with light. What a Show! What a Room!

on secrets of resonance featuring megapaul by promenade2239
One very cool laid back number.
I could drive along the coastal express way(A55 in N. Wales the U.K) at two in the morning with that playing no problem.
A55 is my favourite late night road when I want to be alone and listening to stuff ... It's my realtime environment these days for listening.
Very nice piece.

promenade2239 replied 14th May 2015 - 10 years ago
thank you silverman for nice words.

Just trying to figure out how the road you mentioned looks like - I did a search for some images from this place. It looks truly amazing. I do not make late night car driving that much as I seem to function in a very normal way at the moment. Apparently.

Thank you again for your comments. It is appreciated.

on 9000 Years Too Young by StaticNomad
I feel so unqualified to speak.
But I do have some qualifications.
Two ears and the love of music sound noise the breeze in the trees and the sounds in the grass and on the beach.
I mention those things because this just feels so natural ... so comfortable.
Not sure what it sounds like but it feels wonderful ... kind of wraps around my synapses in a spiritual kind of way.
Lovely.
Three favourites today and all very very different from each other.
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 15th May 2015 - 10 years ago
Greetings.

"just feels so natural ... so comfortable"

Thanks. I do try give my tracks some balls and attitude and grit and grime. But I also try to get things to be very smooth and easy on the ear. Not wet, easy listening stuff but just flowing and fitting together in a seamless and seemingly natural way, even though there's a massive amount of editing and stitching things together going on in all of them.

"wraps around my synapses in a spiritual kind of way"

That sounds good. Might be to do with the very psychedelic, sort of heavenly, ambient pads I use here. There are only about three (all quite different) and one is a female vocal synth choir patch. Sounds definitely taking us out there into the spiritual unknown.

Thanks.

on Montagmorgen - Mondaymorning - kaufen ohne Geld by joecramer
I love it.
It takes me back somewhere I think I've been but might not have but it takes me back there .... I think.
Very dark and reminds me of the German prog rock days of Kraftwerk and that isn't and in insult by any means.
Back in those days I used to occasionally take some tablets .... only very very very small ones mind.
I think that's possibly where I think you might be taking me back to but the flash back wall is strong and stable.
I'm rambling.
Love it looking forward to more.
Will play this for my twelve year old grandson tomorrow when he's round because he loves this dark kind of stuff.
He'll probably comment using my account but I'll make it clear it's him.
Keep it up.
joecramer
joecramer replied 14th May 2015 - 10 years ago
Yeah, back in thoose days. Ah, nice times. Genres got mixed and some going slowly down and new came up. And we all anywhere there somewhere between ..... some things need a long time to come back in a powerfull flash. I saw things in that times, truely unbelieveble and not only with pills :)
Can“t hide that this times had a little effect on me.

If you have a look at my track side you will find there a few -dark- tracks

I hope your grandson will enjoy the song but you should help him with the lyrics :)

So thanks a lot for your very nice comment Mr. Silverman

stay tuned
joe.

Love the tempo drop at 1.07 and total mood change to dreamy dreamland.
I'm sure it wouldn't have worked for me if I'd tried that but it works great and then again at 3.37 a total mood and mindscape alteration.
I'll be giving this another listen later for a little inspiation.
I see you've put it as Trance ... I' useless at knowing these genres. I've just done a banging one and thought it was Techno.
Please excuse me I'm an old fart and there seems to be so many genres these days that I really have no idea.
To me ... It's only rock n roll but I like it.
Great tune mate.

It's not easy to make music that is not only for the ears but also for the heart and soul.
I'm trying to do ... but maybe it's futile.

Thank you so much, Silverman. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to hear what I am about. As I mentioned in the description, the guitar work is by a fellow "Looper" "GuitarJocks" http://www.looperman.com/loops?mid=guitarjock. He is phenomenal along with many artists in this music community.

God bless and have a wonderful day:-)
