Hey Silverman

Very many thanks for your kind words. I sometimes think being economic with an opinion can sometimes convey in a powerful way one's true feelings! Wow works for me!!

So pleased you liked the track.

Best

on Circles Never Open by Mosaic
Incredible!
It's people like you on here that have me listening to enjoying and appreciating so many different genres and approaches to music.
I first turned up here because there were some good quality free loops available and wasn't even aware of this part of it for a long time.
It's now my main radio station!
I still find it hard to believe an amateur mostly hobby site can be turning out stuff like this.
Hats off to you and your hard work.
So many talented people on here.

on Poppe- No Chance feat Without My Armor by Poppe
Before you ask no I didn't because I couldn't listen to the whole thing.
I skipped through but nope .... same levels all the way through.
Like I said it sounds like there is something good going on here.
I'm a guy who likes loud by the way but as in volume not levels.

Two loud for my poor old ears Poppet.
I mean as in the whole thing is to loud.
Every instrument and sound and voice seems to be at the same volume.
Sounds like something good is going on though behind that loudness.

on Adams Masquerade by OmarMuk
Love the sound of this.
The unusual sound at that.
I think the worst thing you could do to this is turn it into a pop song.
That's my ears and understanding ... my angle.
Sounds more cinematic to me.
OmarMuk
OmarMuk replied 18th Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
Hey Silverman thanks for checking out this one.
Cinematic? Really? Hmm its cool that it sounds cinematic to you everyone percieves things their way. I perceive it to be pop lol anyway however you look at it I appreciate your review.

on Klandestyne and Searo K DIGITIZE by Klandestyne
Was enjoying the intro with my eyes closed and then the galloping drums galloped in and threw me at first.
Didn't sound right but within seconds sounded very right.
I'm late I'm late for a very important date .... (Alice in Wonderland if you're wondering) as in someone's in a mad rush here to get things done or be somewhere.
Sounds great but unfinished.
I'd want to put some heavy manic stuff on this.

on Modnex - One by Modnex
Very nice sound.
There seems to be a very long intro and one which I was happy to sit and listen to for a lot longer.
I'm feeling hot tired sweaty with a large fan beside me and one under my desk helping keep the pc area cool and this sound seemed so suitable.
Hot nights ... have you thought about downloading one of Oceans pellas for this?
Modnex
Modnex replied 2nd Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
Thanks man! I didn't even think about downloading her pella. Maybe I will. Even though I actually want an original pella for this specific song. If I can't find anyone, I will definitely try downloading one.

Thanks for your two cents, take care!

on Snake In The Past by Spivkurl
Don't know how I missed this one!
Clubbing and Factory records come to mind Manchester England 1979.
Bands like Joy Division, New Order, Slaughter and the Dogs Iggy Pop and something that feels like Van Der Graff Generator in there.
Thoroughly enjoyed.
Took me to the Hacienda club Manchester ... all music drugs and guns ... very tense very high.
All in the past.
Spivkurl
Spivkurl replied 13th Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
Hey there, thank you for the kind comment and listen! I am a big fan of Joy Division and New Order, not so much the other artists you mention. Do love the scene from 77-81, especially in the UK. "all music drugs and guns"... interesting... to me music is everywhere you listen, drugs help people think in new ways and evolve... guns, I've only ever owned one gun, and that was as a youth, now I'm fighting with a neighbor who has killed many of my friends, and has discharged weapons at our property... not a big fan of guns unless they are taken up against a corrupt government. "Very tense very high." Now that is a good description of most of my music recently, thank you for that. Appreciate your words so much!

Ballroom dancing too at the Blackpool Tower Ballrooms in the North of England..
I'm sure you have no idea what I'm talking about but that's understandable.
Just listened again and it sounds nothing like a cinema Wurlitzer but ... it still paints that picture ... still creates that mood which is a million times better than actually sounding like one.creates that mood and moment.

25DjTj replied 1st Jul 2015 - 11 years ago
sorry i couldn't carry too much of that feel sir,
but i am happy that i could evoke some kind of nostalgia (unknowingly)
i somewhat know what picture you may be painting in your mind...(maybe)
yes it's weird that this connects to something as long ago as 7 decades...but then, that's the magic of music :)
thank you for giving time to listen to my piece.

For me to enjoy music I have to feel something experience something.
Doesn't matter what it is ... sorrow joy wonder desire fear the urge to dance ... I have to feel something.
One of the reasons I can't get my head around a lot of pop music ... pop music of all kinds from all ages ... some is fantastic most is bland and doesn't do anything for me.
This piece for some reason took me back to the black and white films of my fathers time in the nineteen forties and fifties ... how weird is that?
I have an inking why.
Up to the 1.30 mark there is a kind of Wurlizter swirl reminiscent of the old cinema organs.
Before the film started in many cinemas an organist would appear as if by magic through the stage floor playing music while you waited for the film to start.
I saw this in it's last days as a small boy in the 50's and this is where your music has taken me!
At 1.30 the spell is broken unfortunately as it goes all modern and I'm back in the now.
But thank you for my little journey back to the black and white days.

I must be going mad!
I don't like this kind of stuff.
I'm way to old to like this kind of stuff.
I just really enjoyed that.
Really really enjoyed it!
Enjoyed it that much it's gone in my favourites!
I must be going mad ......
I'll be looking back in here to see what kind of comments you're going to get from some very talented people on this site.
Be very interesting to see if any of them can actually give you any advice because this simply sounds so perfectly professional and so radio ready that me personally well I can't find any fault with it at all.
To me this sounds ot just perfect but a sheer pleasure to listen to.
I feel privileged ... thank you.

on Sad Hip-Hop Instrumental 1 by DMindProductions
The ending at 4.31 does not sound like it belongs to this great little number.
Great sound.
I wouldn't dream of upping the tempo as has been suggested.
This is moody at this pace which I think you'd lose speeding it up.
Great job.

on My03 - Midiman007 - Stereophonic Sounds 80 and 90 by midiman007
Fantastic piece.
When that guitar first came in I thought it was a woman!
A woman wailing ... just for maybe one second it caught me out.
This is so well put together.
So pro sounding.
In the faves it goes.

Wow rock on!
Love it.
At 3.07 there is what sounds to me like white noise through a wha wha peddle.
Doesn't sound like it belongs there but ... I've nackered my speakers and am listening to this at the moment on two small pc speakers with one of those centre bass units which isn't bad for playing pool on Miniclip but for music .... well I'm off out to get me some new speakers and headphones shortly.
Love it though.

Evisma replied 30th Jun 2015 - 11 years ago
Hello!

I'm glad you liked the track! I'll listen to the wah part again, as it is an odd part. My biggest issue was the sudden drop of low-mid frequencies when the wah ends.

I hope you had good luck with the speaker and headphone purchase. I don't use monitor speakers. I do everything with headphones, then listen on five different systems and adjust accordingly.

Take care!

Will it be better with vocals?
Impossible to say without comparing it with and without really but the vocalist will have to be bloody good.

Lol, Thanks for the comments...I am actually laughing tho because you are so right...this track smacks of lazy production, I was tired and had a quite a few beers and I'm notoriously lazy to revisit a track and correct it. Perhaps I will.

This predates house by many years as far as I'm concerned and takes me back to the very best of late seventies and the likes of Jean Michel Jarre.
That is meant as a compliment of the highest order.
Love the way it comes rolling in on a beautiful deep piled carpet of smoothness.
It's not perfect there are a couple of glitches here and there where things change and lose that super smooth feel but then the smoothness picks up again.
It has a luxurious feel to it as well as a very pro one.
3.04 is an example of what to me sounds like a bd changeover a bad join and then you're up and running again.
Gotta go in my faves.
