Nice sound but the synth whistle should have a break now and then.
It goes from start to finish without a break.
It needs more stuff in there just yet.
A good sound to build something on top of and into.
The storm has calmed down again a little so I've popped back on.
Trouble is it seems there's a series of storms crossing the country just now so I'll be up and down more often then a whores drawers I'm thinking.
I'm going off line for a while as trhere is a huge thunder and lightening storm happening and it's raining hammers it's raining nails.
I had a tv struck about ten years back and I really don't want my puter frying so it's a little down time catch you shortly hopefully.
I'm going to sit on the porch and watch the show ......
Thanks, glad you like it. Here's the full album if you want to check it out. It's some pretty intricate stuff played by some masters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoPyLJTN7ss
No, I had some help with some of the tracks. Wish I had the ability to play all tracks, but not in this lifetime.
I first heard a ZZ top album here in England around 1973 I think it would have been.
A guy turned up said listen to this started to skin up and produced a bottle of Jim Beam ... that was my introduction to ZZ and what a great afternoon we had!
I think I may have been one of the earlIest Englanders to get a listen as he'd bought the album back from the states with him .... and the bud!
You have certainly got the tone and depth there.
I love your tale of the Indians .... I grew up on cowboys and Indians.
Jim Morrison had a thing about Indian spirits I believe and standing on the plains plugged in and playing that could well be a very very spiritual thing.
I want to put some howling wind on that slow intro and a distant Indian yell echoing down the distant canyon ......
I'm more into ZZ's earlier stuff too.
A cousin of mine who had moved to Laredo after returning home from 2 tours in Vietnam came to visit the family and left me a copy of Tres Hombres. I was at the time digging into legendary rock bands like Sabbath, Zepplin, Deep Purple, Hendrix etc. I was floored by ZZ Tops style of Blues. Ended up playing a lot of their old stuff and introducing their music to friends and audiences in New York who hadn't heard it.
Yeah I thought about the Indian yell too but couldn't find anything appropriate. Thanks for the cool story Silve, I appreciate ya !
It's a pain not being able to go back and edit so here ....
Yeah Richie the WOW means wow as in the traditional meaning of .... Wow!!!!
Not often I'm stuck for words.
Wow just about covers it I think.
Great stuff.
Very many thanks for your kind words. I sometimes think being economic with an opinion can sometimes convey in a powerful way one's true feelings! Wow works for me!!
Incredible!
It's people like you on here that have me listening to enjoying and appreciating so many different genres and approaches to music.
I first turned up here because there were some good quality free loops available and wasn't even aware of this part of it for a long time.
It's now my main radio station!
I still find it hard to believe an amateur mostly hobby site can be turning out stuff like this.
Hats off to you and your hard work.
So many talented people on here.
Thank you for the review and very kind words, means a lot mate, glad there is many great artist on this site, to help everyone appreciate different genre's...Thank you for the fav my friend, will head your way next few days, not much time at moment....Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Before you ask no I didn't because I couldn't listen to the whole thing.
I skipped through but nope .... same levels all the way through.
Like I said it sounds like there is something good going on here.
I'm a guy who likes loud by the way but as in volume not levels.
Two loud for my poor old ears Poppet.
I mean as in the whole thing is to loud.
Every instrument and sound and voice seems to be at the same volume.
Sounds like something good is going on though behind that loudness.
Love the sound of this.
The unusual sound at that.
I think the worst thing you could do to this is turn it into a pop song.
That's my ears and understanding ... my angle.
Sounds more cinematic to me.
Hey Silverman thanks for checking out this one.
Cinematic? Really? Hmm its cool that it sounds cinematic to you everyone percieves things their way. I perceive it to be pop lol anyway however you look at it I appreciate your review.
Was enjoying the intro with my eyes closed and then the galloping drums galloped in and threw me at first.
Didn't sound right but within seconds sounded very right.
I'm late I'm late for a very important date .... (Alice in Wonderland if you're wondering) as in someone's in a mad rush here to get things done or be somewhere.
Sounds great but unfinished.
I'd want to put some heavy manic stuff on this.
yo silverman
thanks for the interesting review , i like the alice in wonderland reference
its an olde but still sounds current defo plan to revisit this with 2015 techniques
big ups ya chest
klandestyne
Very nice sound.
There seems to be a very long intro and one which I was happy to sit and listen to for a lot longer.
I'm feeling hot tired sweaty with a large fan beside me and one under my desk helping keep the pc area cool and this sound seemed so suitable.
Hot nights ... have you thought about downloading one of Oceans pellas for this?
Thanks man! I didn't even think about downloading her pella. Maybe I will. Even though I actually want an original pella for this specific song. If I can't find anyone, I will definitely try downloading one.
HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA YOU BAD ASS JAMID!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful send off though ... I'm almost crying here!
It really is a great piece and has gone straight in my faves.
Very well done indeed.
Don't know how I missed this one!
Clubbing and Factory records come to mind Manchester England 1979.
Bands like Joy Division, New Order, Slaughter and the Dogs Iggy Pop and something that feels like Van Der Graff Generator in there.
Thoroughly enjoyed.
Took me to the Hacienda club Manchester ... all music drugs and guns ... very tense very high.
All in the past.
Hey there, thank you for the kind comment and listen! I am a big fan of Joy Division and New Order, not so much the other artists you mention. Do love the scene from 77-81, especially in the UK. "all music drugs and guns"... interesting... to me music is everywhere you listen, drugs help people think in new ways and evolve... guns, I've only ever owned one gun, and that was as a youth, now I'm fighting with a neighbor who has killed many of my friends, and has discharged weapons at our property... not a big fan of guns unless they are taken up against a corrupt government. "Very tense very high." Now that is a good description of most of my music recently, thank you for that. Appreciate your words so much!
Ballroom dancing too at the Blackpool Tower Ballrooms in the North of England..
I'm sure you have no idea what I'm talking about but that's understandable.
Just listened again and it sounds nothing like a cinema Wurlitzer but ... it still paints that picture ... still creates that mood which is a million times better than actually sounding like one.creates that mood and moment.
sorry i couldn't carry too much of that feel sir,
but i am happy that i could evoke some kind of nostalgia (unknowingly)
i somewhat know what picture you may be painting in your mind...(maybe)
yes it's weird that this connects to something as long ago as 7 decades...but then, that's the magic of music :)
thank you for giving time to listen to my piece.

For me to enjoy music I have to feel something experience something.
Doesn't matter what it is ... sorrow joy wonder desire fear the urge to dance ... I have to feel something.
One of the reasons I can't get my head around a lot of pop music ... pop music of all kinds from all ages ... some is fantastic most is bland and doesn't do anything for me.
This piece for some reason took me back to the black and white films of my fathers time in the nineteen forties and fifties ... how weird is that?
I have an inking why.
Up to the 1.30 mark there is a kind of Wurlizter swirl reminiscent of the old cinema organs.
Before the film started in many cinemas an organist would appear as if by magic through the stage floor playing music while you waited for the film to start.
I saw this in it's last days as a small boy in the 50's and this is where your music has taken me!
At 1.30 the spell is broken unfortunately as it goes all modern and I'm back in the now.
But thank you for my little journey back to the black and white days.
