well as I see in your replies U've tried to sing something inspired by a Asian melody , and I should say U've been succeeded. just it's a bit short as U've mentioned too .
well look Prelude , most easy way in such situations is sing reverse notation & go back scale to up or down .
also if U want it sound more eastern U can select more semitonal intervals & if U still want more U should try on Microtonal intervals, search this topic:microtonal pitches or microtonal music & U'll find ouT my commenT better.

adorable composition & thoughtfull arrengemnT of an eastern touch . a cinematic orchestral track , groovy & very welldone . just Amixx althoughT for sure U know it better than me but as a suggestion I think mathematical observation of microtonal pitche rules , is a safE way to gain a ripe outpuT (specially according to semitones & interval differences of that percussive instrument toward string ensembles in few moments.
maybe it'll be more considered to attune percussive line as subordinate & functional line ) to sound set & quite harmnized & so more impressive & experT & make us ( listeners) perceive more your briliant tallents .
