on I Fall Down v2 by Spivkurl
For what i can recall from the earlier version I think it is improved a lot. Although it was already good. It now sounds pretty proffesional. It might not be anybodys taste but I like it a lot. Especially the fact that you use hardware. Love the sounds coming out of it!

Thank you for taking a listen to the updated version! To be honest, the last thing I would ever want to be considered is "professional." I do take it as a compliment though. I'm happy with how this turned out though, and I'm hoping to have several independent remixes flowing in soon. Thanks much!

Wow..dubstep never gets boring. Nice not zomboy sounds :p.

The vocals hot fits great and the sounds used are raw but clear. Good production!

Thanks man! I originally planned to replace "This isn't Zomboy" with something else before the drop, but eventually the loop grew on me and I used it in the final cut.

I love feedback, and yours is great!

Very nice production. Nice mix of sounds. chilloutjazzrock would fit :p. Great variation and rich sounds. The elctric guitar is my favourite in here though!

Very good vocals. Your voice is good and the flow great. The sample is very funny at start and very functional in the beat. Good production!

on A Road To Arvender or AVEN by MGproduct
All in all a fun track to listen to.in mny opinion the beat is a bit too loud and the synth in teh drop to silent. When the drop comes it all of a sudden is very loud. You should change that. If you make the synth cleaeer it would be even more exciting. A good start!

Would say chillstep as well and it sounds pretty good considering it being a raw version. Now let us hear how it sounds in a 3-4 minute track..
thrilledburst
thrilledburst replied 28th Apr 2016 - 10 years ago
I think it would need to be a little softer for it to be chillstep. Thank you, I'll try to make it into a full song! :)

on Ricochet by Billydragon1
Very nicxe track. Live the growls and synths used. The vocals get a bit pushed away by the rest of the track. Maybe you could balance it a bit more. But the theme fits well to the track.
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 24th Apr 2016 - 10 years ago
Thank you very much for the listen and honest feedback brother.
I had a feeling the vocal might be drowning out a bit so had gone back and brought the level up. Also taken down that bassline level a little and worked on panning other instruments a bit more and reuploaded. Learning as always this side hobby lol!
Stay strong Mudhoen.

Wow...great vocals, great beat, great synth. The bad thing is that it is so short. Really needs a good hook. I am very glad you posted it here and hope you will post the finished product as well.

on Losing you by Rhodesy
First of all. RIP to Prince. Although I was no fan, he partly made modern music as it is. Your track is a nice and well created honor to him. The electric guitar is great. YOu really know how to use it and it fits perfect to the whole of the track. It never gets boring and catches oyu until the end.

Thank you M D ,Those are very kind words. The guitar is my main inspiration.Take care.

on In The Grip Of Himalaya by Orlando51
The magic is almost all of your tracks and that counts for this one as well. You created soem great atmpshere again and Im getting cold already. Maybe this song fits well when its 30 degrees outside. It will cool me down for sure :p. In teh 2nd part you really increase the creaminess which deepens the track even more. Well done, just well done!

on carbon textures featuring Joe Cramer by promenade2239
nice deep sound. Very minimal beat. Sounds really heavy. Gets your head going up and down automatically. The offbeat snare is interesting. You used Joe his vocals and made them fit perfect for this track! great track!
promenade2239
promenade2239 replied 14th Apr 2016 - 10 years ago
thanks for your comment! Kick is from Akai Rhythm Wolf - very low tuned kick layered with low Akai bass. I multitracked it adding different effects. Bassline was made on Microbrute but I was going for some pumping effect here only so it will not even sound as a bassline. Just keep going of layering sounds inside the 'kick drum'. Offbeat snare shots is Roland JunoDi 'Jazz Brush kit' - it was quite hard to mix them along the analog warm sounds. Jazzy sounds/backgrounds/atmospheres are all Roland patches which I played from the keyboard. There is one song I like in particular https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HROMVIHGpLE very minimal one and it is a very classy/classic sort of electronic inspiration.
Really wanted to make everything myself entirely from scratch here.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for listening.

Great Remix. Could well be the next summerhit. Nothing overdone and all perfectly at its place. You mixed it down so well. The chords really jump out of the speakers like crazy. Well done!

Very slow start turning into energetic dubstep. The growls are good and the drums come out well. It is a bit off beat but in a good way. The final part is explosive stuff. Like it!!

This could be made better....It is a good start but you need to make it sound more clear. The sawlike synth is taking over the whole track too much. The drum pattern is very good!

Pretty original idea. the beat is strong and feels good. The flute synth is a bit off in my opinion but that might be persoanl taste. Definetly a good start to work on. Hope to hear more from you!

And yet again you found a way to make creative chaos :p. It is very glitchy and the sounds come in unexpected but they give it a fun thrill to listen to. Good jib!

Spivkurl replied 16th Apr 2016 - 10 years ago
Hey there, thank you for leaving you comment on this piece! Between the circuit bent modular stuff and the microkorg percussion, it does sound a bit chaotic... they weren't patches which react in the normal way. Fun though. I'm glad you had fun listening! Thanks again!

on Untitled Track by 15ludwicke
Very nice stuff. I dont think I am the one to advice you as I am not familiar with producing trap a lot. But the clapkick could be a bit louder in comparison to the 808 sub in my humble opinion. For the rest good stuff. For the name of the track i would choose 'back to paradise' as it slowly progresses into a very positive vibe around 2:15.

on KickLick by Tinka0
First of all i don't think that the size of a track says anything about the quality of the track. Some of the most brilliant tracks have been made with very low resources and dont take a lot of size. BUT.... This track is sooo hardcore and I LOVE it! The punchy drums with the industrial percussions make it awesome. Its like a ride in a very scary rollercoaster. The vocals in between give a great sick and twisted atmosphere to it. I grew up in the hardcore house scene in holland and this would be a big partybanger back then and still now. I enjoyed every second of the track and am glad you posted it here!

With that I was referring to the audio quality, .wav is always superior, 256kbps isn't great.

Thank you good sir, I'm hoping to make more like it, this was my first.

Joe, you have done it again. Your unique style blended with some good old rock guitar. It is dark, it is sweet in a lakritze kind of way and it sound great as a whole. Nice work. For sure Burt wont be buthurt about this fun track!

Hello mudhoen

Burt saíd he likes the mix i did with all his great stuff. So you are righ that he isn't buthurted at all

Lower the reverb that you probably have on it. If you dont then fatten your base by a compressor or transient shaper(for instance)

Welcome to the world of music production! :-). A very well produced and mixed first track. Some real good effects and growls you put in. Love the part starting around 1:50. The drums sound a little hollow in comparison to the snare but that could be easily fixed. Nevertheless a great first try! respect!

Thanks for the feedback! I always love critique, and thank you for your own.

Any ideas on how to remedy this "hollowness"?
