Yeah this definitely has that Detroit sound to it. I love these kind of old school flavours. the synth sounds compliment it well and the over all feel is nice and uplifting.
I would have liked to have heard a little more going on with the back beat but other than that i'd say you've hit the bulls eye.

Ah PJB! I saw you pop up in the corner so I thought i'd drop in and check out your latest feature.
I thought it was going to be a bit abstract when I heard the birds at the start but then it just rolled nicely into a piece of music that to my ears is a little bit like Pink Floyd vs Jose Padillia.
An excellently put together production if I may say so myself.

cheers Dave :)

I saw your name pop up in the featured tracks so I thought i'd drop in. Vocally brilliant, nice choice of loops, well put together and that's enough said really.
Bang on.

Cracking stuff mate. Reminds me a little of somthing from the colours album by circulation. Nice deep mellow vibes with great whispery samples and just what you need if you require a fix of good old fashioned deep house.
Thumbs up!

on Some old dance beat by RampatheSwift
I love the 303 arpegiator so this track really appeals to me. What i find particularly interesting is that i've been using FL since version 3 and you've managed to make some sounds that i haven't figured out yet. I must look harder.
Some nice ideas going on here and it was a pleasure to listen to.

That's some pretty manic stretchy kind of noises you've conjured up there. Like the basslines on this and the atmospherics. There's a great feeling of suspense to this track and i like the choice of sample as well.
Mental in a good way.

I like the sounds and the arrangement of this track although these little speakers don't really do tunes in this genre much justice.
I like the way you kept it minimal and kept the vibe happening from start to finish.
Nicely done.

Digging this one mate. love the old school beat pattern with the new scholl synth lines. The transitions are cool and you've hit the jackpot with regards to the sound placement.
Shame this aint my computer coz otherwise i'd download this. It's right up my street.

on Play My Game by CyberSon
Well this wasn't what i was expecting. Drum and bass? sounds far more industrial to me like godflesh or something.
Anyway thought i'd stop by and check out what you've been up to lateley. This would be an excellent backdrop for a 3d shooter game like quake or sumting.
Nice piece of work Paul.
PS hope you're all good.

Everything you do is pure gold Janis and this is possibly my favourite one yet. everything in the mix is exactly where it needs to be the singing is spot on again and this tune is a killer.
Anyone who doesn't like this record must have a hearing problem. Audio silk.

I take your comment as a true present, FR and humbly thank you for it .
I was, once again, deeply inspired by my friend( Stef de Noakiss)'s gorgeous poem . He is the key to my creation and his words always whisper to my heart . I wish you could get the meaning of that text . I won't translate though, 'cause you always lose a great deal of the spirit when it's done .
Anyway, I bow again in front of your undeniable talent and thank you warmly for your very kind words .

Janis

This piece displays your vocal talents in all their glory. Absolutely beautiful piece of music. I can't write stuff like this which makes me appreciate it that little bit more. Love the layers of vocals, kind of reminds me of joni mitchell (just in French) which is of course meant as a compliment.
You nailed it!!

This would be nothing without Morpheus's gorgeous loops . He/she just allowed me to express some of the things I have deep in my heart and I'll never thank him/her enough for that ...
I'm delighted you enjoyed it and thank you for your encouraging words,
Take care,

This is great. I like the fact i can understnd you in this track (my french is pretty awful) This to my ears sounds like retro club music from back in the eightys. Very good peice of electro pop here janis. I like the way you keep the music minimal, just enough to add depth to your vocals.
This deserves more credit than it's recieved thus far.

Hi FR and thx for your comment ! I'm glad you stopped by even if I don't expect any words in return . I really mean what I said about your tracks and I'm eager to try sthg out with you .
Is my English so awful ?! lol
Thx a lot for your kind words,

Well as an artist who's managed to mess himself up on every drug known to mankind i was instantly drawn to your track description.
Sounds a little like prog house and you've got some great haunting vocals. I would have liked to have heard a little more going on with the background music just to add another amount of depth but that's just me.
Some good ideas here.

What can i say except for well done? It started off sounding kind of hip-hop then you started singing and that vibe was a distant memory.
I'm jealous of your vocal talents. You use your gift well.

on saturday night ft antranita and 16 bars RaRcharm by carlosnble
This sounds very radio friendly indeed. I can't understand why this sort of stuff isn't out there being played to the masses.
I love the chord structure and keyboard sounds you used. The rapper sounds a little like 50cent to me and that is a compliment and a half.
Listen to this track everyone. You will be glad you did.

Ah, a track that doesn't make me think of a paperweight.
This is really fluffy and just the sort of thing i ned to bring me down to earth.
This is very 90's sounding mate so thats always a winner in my book and you seem to be heading in a new direction since i stopped by. Much better than that james whatisface? can't remember his last name but i think it rhymes with "hunt"

This is something a little different. it could have worked as a hip hop track but the vocal layering takes it off in a direction of it's own. You've kept it interesting with all the different break downs and drops and it's pretty epic in length as well.
I enjoyed stopping by for this tune.

This was my first day here and I fell in love with those loops . I looked through my friend's poems and found one who perfectly fitted the music . It all went naturally, just wanted to illustrate these beautiful lyrics .
In any case, I very much appreciate your professional view of the song, FR, and I thank you a lot for it .

on A long time ago and still recovering by thyroid
I had to home in on this one as "close to death" is a place i've been to in recent times.
From the sound of this beautiful piece your experience was a lot more peaceful than mine. This truly is a piece of shher brilliance. Love the combination of piano and strings. It really melts nicely into the drum section and ambient guitars which follow.
You've thrown together something well worth listening to here my friend and it has to be a fav for sure.

First i hope you are doing ok now, life is a bitch, nothing more and nothing less, and you deal with it how you have to deal with it, and there is no right or wrong it is just live that makes you spin in periodes.
Anyways, thanks for listening, and liking it, i hope it can lift you up one in a while.
Stay safe

Another blinder Tara. I'd bung this in the trance category really. Not that it takes anything away from the track. Nice fast upbeat hands in the air bit of tunage going on here and the only complaint i have is that it just stopped???
was that meant to happen?
anyway, i enjoyed the piece and would love to hear the rest of it.

Well i'm reviewing as i'm playing and the first thing that strikes me is the splendid intro. love the way you started off with the beat and then brought it into the chilled piano melody like a true pro. The build up is brilliant with a great selection of sounds that all seem to fit perfectly into place.
It sounds a bit like something above and beyond would drop in a mix which is meant as a compliment in it's most sincerety.
It's easy to see why this one has been a popular choice of other members.
Solid work TT

Alright mate! Finally got a bit of time to catch up with some of the kind folks who've lent me their ears since i've been out of action.
This is really good. Reminds me a little of something from Sasha's "airdrawndagger" album. Very chilled out. Great atmospheres and explosive drum section. It has kind of an oriental vibe to it and i can see why this one's been such a hit with other members.
Best piece i've heard today without a doubt.

Dude, I'm listening to this and i'm hoping your getting some decent dollars coming in from your album because i can tell you've spent a long time on all aspects of your music from the lyrics right through to the melodies, arrangement and production.
I'm by no means the top authority on the hip hop genre but what i do know is that to my ears there are a small collective of artists who shine though in that genre on this site. You're most definitely one of them.
You deserve to do well.

Cool! This reminds me a little of sepultura. I really dig the structure of this piece. Those drum changes must take a lot of thought, planning, trial and error.
I don't hear enough good in your face metal on this site a lot of the time so when i find a piece it really cheers me up.
I have been cheered up so this must be one of those pieces.
If it were my lap top, i would have downloaded it.

Well the drums were the easiest part because I just had to worry about placement. They were loops from this site;) The hard part was playing my guitar to it and trying to play along with a beat because I had never done it! Still haven't done much. Thanks for the reply FR! I appreciate it;) The heavier the better lol

on Alice in Epicland by Jowe
I like this from the beginning because it reminds me of a tune i used to jam with my old band back in the day (except we did it with guitars ((really badly lol)) )
I like the way you vary the piano riffs to keep the track interesting and there's a lot of good ideas going on here.
Perhaps some bigger reverbs at some point throughout the tune would help add another level of depth.
All in all i enjoyed this so keep up the good work and thanks for the listen.
