Given it's short length is it safe to assume that this isn't finished yet? I'm thinkin this track has alotta potential and I like how this has a kinda DJ Dado mixed with trance vibe to it. This is givin me some ideas. Like I'm thinkin that it needs a nice and juicy pad isolated bridge. To give it a kind of Epic Trance edge. And then BOOM work your way back into everything else, including the pad and maybe add a slightly offset and diminished copy of the synth to give the illusion of a direct echo on 'em. Keep workin at it mate, yer on the right path. Later on!

Hmm, I'm gonna suggest that ya throw alot more diversity in this because it kinda gets repetitive. Maybe throw in some breaks here and there, definitely add some bass, add some pads, and include some effects loops to round out the mix. Keep workin at it mate, you'll get it. Later on!

The second vocal sample on this reminded me of the one announcer in that club with Sean Paul as the head guy on Def Jam Vendetta: Fight For NY. And I'll def agree the beats on this were classic old skool. I liked the way ya broke away from the beat with that one synth sequence and then eased back into 'em. Later on!

Cool xylophone like synth sequence (or were they percs?) ya had on this. I dug that and the vocals of the guy singin the most on this. The beat on this kinda reminds me of some of the stuff by KJ Sawka (check him out if ya haven't before, his song Subconnectors is awesome).
Ooh, I just had a thought- I dunno if you've checked him out, but the member on here Mr.Doll has some pretty sweet acapellas that might fit really well with this song. And if ya wanna add some dynamic to the singing part another member, DJ Aerith has some acapellas that're somewhat similar to the stuff currently on here though in a higher octave. Anyways, good stuff here mate. Later on!

Got kinda sidetracked before with somethin so this is like play 1 all over again, haha. Anyways, I'm thinkin that this is Fusion. Though I'll def agree that it has that primal edge to it. Kinda like KMFDM without vocals. Oh, and that one flutey synth on here reminded me of old NES games (can't think of one in particular, but it has that vibe, Double Dragon maybe). Anyways, I think this track would be killer if you could hook up with someone to play some nasty super distorted Guitars. To give it a kinda Rammstein/Prodigy feel. Cool stuff mate. Lates!

This one feels more like rock to me than it does the other, but either way it's pretty motivating. The kinda track that grabs ya by the pants and gets you moving. Hmm, I'm thinkin you might really dig the band Hard Knox (if ya haven't heard 'em before, they've got similar stuff). Nice concept mate. Later on!
Hey mate, what rate did you convert this at? Because for some odd reason I'm getting this funky playback (buzzing sound) that usually only happens when something is converted at too low a rate. Hold 1, lemme try punching up another player window. Nope, it's still there. Dunno what to tell you, besides that if it's under 96 Kbps it won't play right.
As for the song, I think it's a pretty cool concept. I absolutely love trying to mix different styles together. Fusion is one of the best genres (oh, and if this is a mix of the two then that's what this would be BTW). Anyways, I'm thinkin it was a successful blend because the way the synth and the drums interact is great. So beyond that annoying buzz this is a pretty nice song. Later on!

Hey mate, dunno if it's just my speakers, but this sounds like it's on the verge of clipping. So ya might wanna knock back their levels in your program's mixer.
The way this starts kinda reminds me of that song by Dee-lite (Groove is in the Heart, I think). And when paired with the drums it just gave me a wicked idea to chop this up some to give it kind of a breaks vibe, ya know. Especially considering that ya threw in some scratch loops on here, making it all the more sweeter, ay. And this is gonna sound a lil odd, but this reminds me of the way my best friend Mike use to mix music (there's a similar flavor about this). Anyways, just fix that one mastering thing and this'll be golden. Later on!
(Update).
Hey mate, I just added something to the "Production Trickbook" thread that ya might wanna check out. Though I did forget to cover what levels were (haha, my bad). Basically, levels refer to the volume level that your tracks/channels play back at. Typically, they can be controlled via the program's Mixer application.
So if your drums were on channel one and they seemed to overpower the vocals or something all you'd have to do is go in and drop down it's volume until it matches up with the other (or just plays back better). Or you can go the other way with it, if the vocals were on channel 6 then you could just go there and bump up their level until it started to sound okay. Just experiment with it and you'll get the hang of it. Lates again.
please feel free to do what ever u want to this track and let me hear what u came up with.....idk what levels means but im learning tons from this site and im sure ill know what u mean eventually...i apreciate ur advice

You know what's funny? For some odd reason the drums on this are remindin me of that one scene in the Disney film Peter Pan (where the Indians are chanting around the fire, 'poly-wala-gunda, poly-waly-gunda...').
Where as the synth in this reminds me of the way cubes of ice float around in a glass of water as they melt or are stirred around. And... I don't know how they pair up...
Maybe like one of those african tribal hunter/warriors running along a dirt path in some mineral water commercial?
Anyways, pretty interesting stuff here and in a way I wanna call it a sister track of one I did, entitled R2's Dream (which was a sister track to one that Mokeone did, blanking on the name now though). Cheers!
I've hacked this one 3 times now and been so dissatisfied that I haven't updated it yet. The elements work for me, but the weave eludes me entirely. I think I've been fixating on jahknow's advice below and trying to break it up more than I should/can. If I understand you correctly, it's the juxtaposition of the drums and perc-melody where I'll probably find the solution to getting this one right. It's true, in the contrast of those two elements is a disparity. Like a "tribal hunter...in some mineral water commercial". Interesting...there are two approaches that immediately come to mind. The Borneo Dayak can look quite natural wearing a Rolex if that's not the center of attention. Thanks Donnie, I think this was exactly what I needed to hear for this one. I'm going to shoot you an email when I update this one. (I'm also going to see if "R2's Dream" is still up.)
Play 2 now...
Maybe this is one of those odd Twilight Zone moments, but I'm pickin up similarities in the grooves with the other song of yours I just reviewed. Coz the vision of the faux mineral water ad carries over to this one. Perhaps it's the beat and closeness of the tonal patterns of the synth?
Like the former had more of a emphasis on leads where this one focuses more on the pads and percs?
Anyways, I think what makes this track stand out are the above mentioned pads and the long winding bass you used on this. Gives it an almost globular feel (think lava lamps). And for visual purposes, that's great in lending itself to making spectacular visuals for a performance. It'd be kinda interesting to see how this would play on Windows Media Player with the visualizer set to random. Or one could just have a blast creating stuff for it on-the-fly. Cool stuff mate. Later on!
This one Is what it Is. I reversed a sampled cello loop of Bach that's 10 sec. long and knew what to do as it pulled up incredibly visual memories. Six samples in all played and recorded live on an Max MSP standalone, after 5 or 6 'dry-runs' over 3 days. If you've read any Terrance McKenna, you'll get my reference to the Language Elves. It would lend itself to spectacular visual performances as it's already a sonic representation of just that. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers.

Hey mate, sounds like ya might wanna work on adjusting the levels in this because it sounds like some of the stuff is on the verge of clipping (mainly on the low end, which is easy on Magix). Sounds like either the bass and/or the kick drum is comin on too strong.
Very apt name though. I can see people stompin it out doin the Melbourne Shuffle to this. Though given its time is it safe to guess that it isn't finished yet? It'd be kinda nice to see how this would progress out. Nice start mate. Later on!

Okies mate, the lil transition part with the scream sounds like it needs to be worked on a bit (especially the scream itself, it came out a little loud through my head phones). Yeah, this sounds like to different songs thrown into one. And though I find the idea of it interesting I'm thinking that they two different synth sequences clash. Maybe if ya worked on layering them together a bit better. Possibly adding some prolonged fades in and out. Where they'd play together more. And on second thought, I'm gonna suggest that ya just nix the scream altogether. And maybe work on having the end fade out or end suddenly with a drum build up to a big cymbal crash. Thanks for sharing though. Later on!

The only part I didn't much care for was the "I just wanna thank you" vocal sample ya had on here. Other than that it was pretty bangin. I especially enjoyed the drums at the beginning and am thinkin that if ya wanted you could very easily make this into a 'Bass-centric' Drum&Bass mix. Like either Miami Bass or Booty Bass (without the hiphop vocals thrown in). Think like a mix between Bass Meckanik and Techmaster PEB (maybe with a sprinkling of Benny Benassi to keep the some of the current synth). Okies, nuff outta me. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!

Some of the effects on this reminded me of the breathing sound Kraftwerk used in the song Tour de France. And in some ways this makes me think that it's the beat side of Ambient (like if one were to swap synths for drums). Excellent usage of the reverse soundin breaks in this mate. I think that was prolly my favorite part of the song. Along with the tribal chant vocal sample and that nutty bass/synth ya had near the end (in fact, they sorta reminded me of some bass loops I recently added). Two things bum me out about this. The first is that it isn't avail for download (sad face) and the other is that one vocal sample that sounded like it came from a movie (with site rules and all that). Course, I'm thinkin you could still have a pretty bangin track without that sample. Later on!

I thought the vocals were pretty cool, save for the high pitched 'oy' one. Hmm, maybe if ya had it say 'hey' instead it might pair with the lower pitched 'oy' better. I dunno, just random thoughts here. And the drums were fabulous. Nicely done there. I'm thinkin this track would be killer if ya added some bass to go with the drums. Something like a long drawn out growl mixed with the periodic throbbing wub-wub ones, ya know. Cool stuff mate. Later on!

Though, like I said, I really dig the groove of this and am thinkin that this is some high quality House music (not too sure I'd call it electro). And in that light I could see someone goin crazy on remixing this incorporating it into a session. Maybe throwing in some breathy female to sing R&B along side it. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
