Before I get into commenting on this I gotta look at the stats on this. 480 plays, 46 downloads, and only 4 reviews. What gives people? (shakes head).
Anyways, let's get back to the song.
Play 2 now...
I dunno what it is, but this track makes me think of retro synth-pop mixed with an oriental vibe. And though this is a cool mix I'm thinkin that it either needs to be shortened a little or ya need to throw a bit more variation in it, because it kinda got repetitive at points. I dunno, it just needs something. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Aww man, that Dulcimer stuff at the beginning was brilliant! My dad's also a musician (he's the one with most of the talent) and he's really big into Gaelic, Folk, and Bluegrass music. So it was a real treat hearing it on an EDM track. Kind of unexpected, ya know?
As for the rest of the track, the usage of 2 basslines was keen also. Though I'm thinkin that ya might wanna bump up the volume of the percussive drums at the beginning and then work on smoothing out the other stuff that appear starting at the first Guitar loop ya used (some of it just jumps out too much I'm thinkin).
And given it's short length is it safe to guess that this isn't finished yet? If that's the case then the mastering stuff can come later on at the end once you've got this completed. Later on!
Aww man, okay, I think the site is messin up. Either that or you converted this at a bitrate lower than 96 Kbps. Because I'm getting alotta buzzes and pops in the playback.
As for the song itself, I recognized alot of the stuff ya used on here and am thinkin that ya need to really go back and rework this song to flow better. Though for your first track it sounds like you're heading in the right direction. Just keep practicing and banging away at it and you'll start churnin out some rockin stuff. Lates!
Man, 117 plays, 8 downloads, and no reviews. What gives people? (shakes head)
Anyways, lemme listen to this song.
Play 2 now...
Alright, is there supposed to be 45 seconds of silence at the end of this or did something just mess up when you went to convert this?
Moving past that, I could kinda tell that you were drunk when ya made this because aspects of the mix sounded sloppy. Although I really dug the heartbeat at the beginning. In contrast, I thought the siren sound ya had sounded too artificial and am thinkin that ya probably should've faded into the first synth sequence insteada just having it start at default volume. And once ya break away from that sequence and have that little lull in the sound is where the track really took off. At any rate, ya didn't do that bad for mixing a song intoxicated. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Man, the pads on this sounded super familiar (the soundfont ya used). Though I can't put my finger on where I've heard it before.
And I absolutely loved the vocoded stuff ya had on here. They were flippin sweet! As for the drums, hmm, they are a bit too pronounced, but they weren't annoyingly loud (and they only slightly interfered with the other aspects of the song). So my advice there would be to turn 'em down just by 1 or 2 notches on their volume in the mixer. Asides from that it was pretty decent. Later on!
Play 2 now...
I really dug how ya had little bits of reverse in this. And the bitty of humming vocals on this was a nice touch too. It's an interesting mix mate. Thanks for sharing!
I'll agree that this was one of the Demo songs on Fl Studios (I know, because I used it in a mash-up remix I did a few months back). Though don't worry too much about what Maurizio said, you did change up elements of this enough to make it your own mix, but- I'd still play it safe and contact Fl Studios to attain permission to use the bits from the demo if you were to try and publish this on a CD. Your mix kinda has a Housey vibe to it. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Before I begin the review I'm first going to advise against posting personal information such as your ICQ number. In fact, I really don't know what that has to do with the track. Considering that the description is intended to be about the track. Just a bit of advice for the future. Now let's let the song play.
Play 2 now...
Alright, I'm thinkin that this could stand to be a bit longer. And I also think ya need to work on the ending (IMO, it just sounds sloppy when it ends suddenly like that). I did rather enjoy the bassline on this and they kinda reminded me of some old stuff I've heard (it kinda has a fight film feel to it mixed with a kinda dark meditative vibe). Though I also feel that this could use some more variety to it. Hmm, maybe you could throw this up as for collab and work with someone else to add stuff like effects, maybe some breaks or fills, and even some additional lead synths. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Viral Jungle? I like the way that sounds. Kinda like it'd be really nasty and what not. I really dug the vocal sample on this and am thinkin it could stand to have a bit more. The only thing I can recommend is working on your ending a little. Later on!
Before I begin the review I must advise against posting personal information like that. And I'm kind of at a loss as to what that has to do with the track (since that's what the description is for, afterall). Now let's let the track play.
Play 2 now...
Ok, as for the genre, I don't really feel that this is Jungle. It feels more like Fusion because of all the different elements in it. The things I hear are- Jazz, Samba, House, and pop. And there could be hints of a few others in there too, but I'll skip 'em for now. Interesting mix mate. Later on!
Play 2 now...
That one synth lead on here reminds me of the old Robocop arcade game at the start of the track. Anyways, this is def some high quality jungle right here. The only thing that I think could use some work is the vocal sample at the beginning (not the sample itself, but the way it sounds. I dunno there's just something about it that sounds off or funny, maybe it's tone and dryness). Other than that I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Have you ever heard of the band, Left Field? That's kinda what this reminds me of (has a similar vibe to some of the songs on their album Rhythm And Stealth).
Though I feel that this could be a bit longer and the ending might be done a little differently. Like in relation to the cool vocal samples on here it doesn't provide closure, just a dead end. So that's one way you could do it, add in some snippet of vox with the guy saying something cleaver (and it could also be used to transition into the next song, if it was in a long mix). Later on!
Play 2 now...
Man, the vocals on this sound so familiar. I just can't put my finger on 'em at the moment.
And I'll agree that the bass on this was pretty sweetly arranged. Ooh, I just had a thought in relation to the 12 str guitar on this. Have you thought about maybe pairing it with either a harpsicord or some form of organ? I'm thinkin it might give an interesting contrast by providing those tones a sense of depth. And while I'm at it, for the perc side you could maybe add some xylophone (I'm thinkin that one with wood would sound better than a metal one). Anyways, cool mix mate. Later on!
Hey mate, I'm thinkin that this is a pretty sweet arrangement, but where did you get the vocal samples on this? They aren't from commercial artists are they and if so you've got permission to use 'em? Because if not you'd be in breach of copy right and site rules. Please fix this if these are commercial. Later on!
Befor I begin I've gotta say that 85 plays with 4 downloads, 1 favorite, and no reviews is the wrong answer (especially considering it's upload date).
Play 2 now...
I really dug what ya did with the bass on here and am thinkin the gun shot sound is nice, but ya might wanna use it less IMO (for example, after that one voc-sam of the guy saying put it away). Later on!
Lol thanks! I wasnt expecting a review on this, how on earth did you find it? you must have been trawling through the records or something.
Yeah i like it! It was made a good few years ago now, And i've come along way since then. I did think it was odd that it didnt have any reviews. It would be good to re-do it and do it a bit more properly, like you said i went a bit overboard with the gun and stuff, but I have no idea where the sounds are now.
Anyway thanks for the one and only review (probably!) I'll get on this song! :) I appreciate it!
Play 2 now...
Killer slap bass on this mate! Now we're cookin with gasoline, yeah, haha. That and it's interplay with the drums are makin this one wicked song. I was diggin it so much that I found myself kinda singin along to it. Makin up stuff as it played, mostly skat or stupid (yeah, for a couple of seconds there I kept repeating "Peek-a-boo", I have no idea why either). Anyways, very groovalicious stuff here my friend. Thanks much for sharing. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Yeah, I got that one program too and that one synth lead loop ya used is a favorite of mine as well. And the way you made the drums and bass on this give it kind of a hip lounge-house kinda vibe. Kinda like I could picture this being played over the PA system at a coffee bar somewhere. Sweet composition here mate. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Hmm, I'm definitely feeling the Techno vibe in this, but the drums and bass (somewhat) are also classicly House. This is Tech-house, maybe? I think my favorite part of the song was the bass. And I've got to agree with Esh in the slightly repetative aspect of this. Though I'm thinkin that you could easily fix that by adding some pads, having a moment where the drums cut out (besides at the end), throw in some effects, and change up the lead parts a bit more and you'll be golden. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Man! I recognize those vocals from somewhere, just can't remember where at the moment. Though I don't quite think that this is would fall into the House house, haha. Sounds more like Electro-tech with a hint of Industrial to me. Anyways, this was a pretty proppa song though. Def movin me over here. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Did you use the vocorder on Magix for that one bit of singing on here? And haha, that ending vocal sample was out there (nicely done on how ya repeated it and got it to crackle like it was an old record skipping). And now that I think about it, the intro synth was kinda silly too. Almost like the song itself has a smile on it's face. And I think my favorite part of this was that Flamenco-esque guitar stuff ya had on here. It's nice to hear happy music like this. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!
yeah you're right i've used vocoder effect on the voice, on the vocoder i have choose the effect synth, and then i've only variated the volume of every single strophe.
thank you for the review
Cheers! Long live to free independent music!
Hey, nice Kalimba!
I mean, music box at the intro. And let's let it play!
Play 2 now...
And I like the way ya returned to the music box stuff at the end. Good way to close the circle that way. I've done that on a few of my tracks too (so it kinda sounds like one long song when if ya put it on repeat). And I'm kinda straddling the fence on the slow intro, but once the track kicks in one kinda loses themself in the groove. I think my fav 2 parts of this song were the spooky soundin synths ya had on this (takin me back to Scooby Doo) and the female vocals. Thanks for sharing mate. Later on!
Play 2 now...
Yeah, I suppose it doesn't matter... If you happen to be playing it on a system without subwoofers (or with subs, but having the volume only half-way up). I say this, because this track clips horribly at the low end when it's turned up high. So I could only imagine what this would do if someone were to attempt playing this in one of their sets at a club (it might blow the speakers).
Though beyond that I'm gonna have to agree with Spiv. It does give this track a nice hardcore edge and I'm thinkin this would be a really killer track if ya went back and remastered it to lower the volume levels on the low end. It was a really moving composition and I enjoyed listening (mumbles... at a reasonable volume... and before they moved me I use to sit next to the window and I could see the Squirrels... And they were merry... wait, where am I). Haha, later on mate!
Interesting sample there mate. Hmm, ideas?
Okies, from where I am now I'm thinkin that this would probably be better suited if ya turned it into a breakbeat song. Especially, with that one lead sequence ya had on here. So I'm gonna say, go & find a secondary drum loop that compliments the one ya got now (one that's primarily just kicks, snares, and maybe claps) and then do kind of a tidal thing (think waves) with the way ya do the breaks (like have it go 5 seconds- break, have it go 10 seconds- break, have it go another 10 seconds- break, and so on). And like every other one or every 4th one add something new (a vocal sample here or some pads there, etc). There ya go. Later on!
Cool drum stuff going on in this mate. And nice usage of the Rhodes soundin stuff too. Though the vocal sample on this kinda sounds like some dude with hiccups, I kinda see what you were trying to emulate there. A classic vox snippit percussive/scratch thing, but usually didn't they use 3 or 4 different snips at a time? Like Ah, Ugh, Hey, and some random word or phrase like 'burn it up' or 'gotcha'. And other times wasn't it like one or two phrases that were cut up? Can't really think of anything else to comment on or suggest. Thanks for sharing. Lates!
Dude! Before I even begin to review the song I've got to say that's possibly the coolest description I've ever seen! How'd ya do it (with HTML stuff I'm guessing)?
Play 2 now...
Okies, so I'm thinkin that this has the potential to be alot longer. And I'm not trying to shamelessly promote myself, but the groove of this reminds me of my track Lemonade Sunrise, which I played live (and that session lasted over 11 minutes, granted I was pushing the envelope of repetition on it). So yeah, if you were wanting to take this further I just had a wicked idea with the added synth parts at the end. I call it 'step-build mixing' and basically it just means adding/subtracting the different channels with fades. And here you could stip this song down to like a single channel and then build back up into the song. Do a 'hopscotch' drop/add of the drumms (play-cut-play-cut-isolated bridge-play). And then 'step down' the rest (from longest playing channel to newest) and I'm thinkin leave it with just the bass and new synth. While maybe introducing a new long drawn out sounding channel of pads (like angel choir, for example).
Anyways, this is like play 4 or 5 now. Great start mate, hands down! Looking forward to hearing how this progresses. Later on!

Hey mate, my bad for not getting back to you sooner. I'll rectify that here shortly. Anyways, as for the track it sounds like ya pretty much nailed it. Lates again!
