The intro to this kinda reminds me of one of Gameboi-X's tracks (two hours work I think). Yet you've got different synths and the groove of yours is more relaxed than his. Sorta like it'd be the 'breather track' in a big mix session. Though I imagine people would still be dancin, it's just that the lights'd be all the way off and the glow stickers and poi ballers would be doin their thing. Cool stuff. Later on!

You know what I'd think would be really cool for this? If you were to do some kinda Industrial remix of this and feature the vocal styles of a singer/s like in the band Superchic[k]. I dunno why, but that's what I'm thinkin. Havin some kinda growly guitar (like Static-X's) mixed with that singing. Man, that'd be great. Later on!
on The Taste of Metal by JackRipper
Man, this kinda reminded me of the stuff I heard on Roni Size's album New Forms back in 98. Though the vocal stuff is more like what Evol Intent does. Super grooves here mate. Later on!
on Grecian Formula by JackRipper
You're right, this does sound better with the bass turned up. Decided that I'd try the first time through without and now I got it goin again. I love the long pronounced soundfont ya used for the main bass on this. In a way it kinda reminds me of the way some old game sounds useta be.
And I'm prolly gonna sound like an outsider or somethin, but is Fidgety an offshoot of House, coz I've never heard of it before. I will agree that this is some good House music though. Parts of it also kinda remind me of some of the stuff by Basement Jaxx. Later on!

Yeah, I think those vocals were very apt for this song. In fact, in a way I think they made it a winner.
And sometimes I really wish this'd be the kinda stuff they play on the radio, ya know. Like have one of those 'top 40s' stations have a nightly hour of world music. Man, could you imagine? I bet that'd just blow the doors open on the industry by way of sales and such.
And normally my view of Ambient is luke-warm, but this captures a side of mellow that makes me wanna move. Great stuff mate. Def sav/fav'd. Later on!
PS. Check out the band Engine-Earz on
YouTube sometime, you'll love 'em!

Okies, I wanna ya played this live because of the lil discrepancies I hear in the note placement within the time sig. Course, it could just be the way ya rolled it though. Anyways, wanna hear somethin crazy. For some odd reason I was reminded of that Techno song they played in the Porche scenes in the movie Super Troopers (dunno if you've seen it, but it was a really funny flick, I'd suggest it). Though the groove between the two is completely different.
The name is so fitting because I could totally envision some backwater southern swamp and some guy sitting on the porch of some rickety shack chewin on a bit of poor man's grass. Have ya thought about addin some violin and banjo? Later on!

As for the sense of foreboding, remember in Empire Strikes Back when they came across the empirial remote space droid on Hoth. The way this starts kinda reminds me of that menacing droid hovering around.
Ooh, I just had an idea if ya wanna go really dark with this. Add some growling bass to the song (thinkin like it'd come out in spots sorta like some kind of alarm of battle klaxon, or maybe have it swell up and down like in waves, but constantly there). Other than that this was a pretty cool choon. Later on!
on Subject 99 by H3XiT
I like how driving this is mate. And this might sound odd, but somethin in the synth kept makin me think it was sayin- 'my orange juice' (shrugs).
Anyways, this was remindin me of the hard drivin stuff of the late 90s. And I could tell that you had massive fun mixing this, because of the intensity. I'm thinkin you oughta keep this like a feather on yer cap to come back to once in a while to mess with again and revamp. It has great remix potential. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on TabbMann - Heavy Potionz by UFlash
Interesting stuff going on here. Am diggin the marching type beat you got on here and the super retro sci-fi show soundin synths too. Man, 4.5 years ago I was still stuck up @ Bragg busting out mediocre stuff on old equipment. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Thnx Donnie 4 your time , kind regards, UFlash!
on Sleepless by DigitalSerotonin
I'm thinkin that if ya ever go back to rework this ya might wanna balance out the levels of some of the channels a bit more (like the one synth bell ya used, sounds sorta too pronounced IMO). I like how ya took a dark approach with this. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on ikilem by snakejang
I absolutely loved those drums, but I would have to argue that this isn't a trance song, atleast in the traditional sense. Maybe it's progressive trance (shrugs). Given it's length maybe you could go back n rework it to have more synth. At any rate, thanks for sharing. Later on!
on Reese curl by khrimson
This one had my head bobbin. And given it's depth and quality I could easily see this being doubled or triples in duration if one were to incorporate it into a mix session. If it were me I'd prolly also pair it with some vocals like Sarah Mclachlan. And maybe throw in some long saws with plenty of pitch changes. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on Lost in a World Full of Monsters by peopleareloudmovers
This was pretty cool for a shorter tune. Kinda like I could see it being an interlude between longer songs on an album or something. And I think ya did a great job with incorporating the acapella into your mix (which sets a somewhat eerie vibe). Coolness here. Lates!
on Step Back by Gsusfrk
This was pretty decent D&B right here. It had the traditional elements in the drums, but I really dug how ya used the lighter tones for the synth. Which I felt gave it a nice ambient or mellow groove. Unlike other D&B tracks, that usually hit harder and darker. I just think it's a refreshing change to hear something light and airy like this. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Thanks for the words :)
I'll Hit on of your tracks up
God Bless

I really dug the way this starts out and think the synth treatment was great, but something happened towards the end that made me think that some of the sequences were slightly off. Maybe it was just the tones and how they interacted with the drums (like I'm thinkin they'd sound a bit better if ya softened 'em up a bit with some effects or by lowering their velocity). I enjoyed hearing the stuff ya added on the drums and loved the water drop-like perc sounds ya had here and there. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on Spinnny-2012 feat ethic by Spinnny
Was it supposed to suddenly cutoff like that at the end? That was the only thing that I felt detracted from the song the last go round. The only other thing I could suggest is maybe adding some effects on the vocals to make 'em sound gritty or dirty and kinda like their comin out of an old radio or something. Beyond that this was a pretty solid track mate. And I really dug the wobbly bass sounds ya had on here. Later on!
on When Hippos sing with Frogs by n0mad23
Hmm, this one does come across as a bit odd. Kinda like I could picture this being played in the green room or something. Or even better, I'm thinkin this'd be cool to play on one of those Scion commercials. Coz it's different or in a way it sounds experimental to me. Course, this would be really cool to pair up with some song that has more melody in a mash-up mix. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
on Kali with Peanut Sauce by n0mad23
I'll readily admit that 'dub' isn't a genre that I know all that much about. Though lately I've been wanting to rectify this situation by listening to more (as I have done with some other genres on www.di.fm).
This one has a decent lil mix of indo-chinese grooves going on (with the sitar sounding synth). And the drums kinda remind me of reggae fused with either hiphop or pop. This is kinda trippy stuff ya made here mate. Later on!
on Were gon' party - Vocal Mix by TIHunused
Yer right, this is pretty powerful. I like the in-and-out sweepy sound ya got at the beginning. It fits in rather well with the drums. And the Pianos were nice too. Cool stuff. Later on!
on Techno-Beckno by DanielGtrman
There was a part of the beat that sounded like it was just a little outta sync (the click-pop sounding one). It kinda reminds me of when I'm playin with the metronome on. Beyond that this track was really put together well. Though I wonder where the Guitar parts were here (scratches head). Anyways, nicely done guys! Later on.
on Dreamland by Strict_Policy
This track kinda reminds me of the 'bass-centric' artists from the 90s (Techmaster PEB, Bass Blox, Bass Incorporated, etc). Mixed with a little bit of Expansion Union.
As for the intro sample of Super Mario Bros at the beginning, if ya hadn't said that you had made this for a local skating rink I woulda questioned it, but it kinda makes sense with the skating thing. Heck, I betcha this'd be cool as all get out to skate during the lights out rolo-disco thing they do. Smooth grooves here. Later on!
on z75 - Broken Dreams by Zooloo75
Given it's short length is it safe to guess that this isn't done yet?
I really like what you've got so far, though I don't think it could be classified as traditional breakbeat (maybe Progressive Electro or Dream Pop, maybe). I also liked the lil effects ya threw onto that one part of the song. Cool start here. Later on!
on The City talks by Bosco
Yeah, I agree with Finn, ya gotta work on the levels of the vocals coz they're too hot compared to the rest of the mix. And you could maybe work in some kinda fade for the vox for the part that it repeats "Noise".
And given it's short time, you've got alotta room to work, ya know? Later on!
on Plum Henry's Revenge by Kazm
Nice lil retro fills ya threw in here. Reminded me of those lil ray-gun keychain toys from back in the 80s that had like 5 or 6 different weapon sounds on it. The only part I didn't much fancy were the vocals, beyond that this was pretty cool. Later on!
Peace and thanks,
Kii.
on Freedom by Teksketch
Parts of the synth on this reminds me of games like Bubble Bubble or Super Bust-a-move. And then others remind me of those old jewelry boxes. The vox on this kinda remind me of this former looperman member, Catch22 (who's on TalentTrove.com if ya wanna check him out). Very interesting mix mate. Later on!
