I just treid to post a comment but got logged out when I hit the post button (again)...hope this one works...
I think you should keep it going Kingmadi..you have a good voice. You know I`m not a good source of advice on the genre but I would think in terms of putting in a bit of a break at the end of this part (with a key change would kick it up)..and then do the next part with a bit more instrumentation, synth or whatever...a bit less minimal...maybe widen the additions out a bit around the vocal with placement and/or some mid-side processing...well done...keep it rolling..Ed
I tried leaving a comment 3 times before and I get logged out every time I hit Post...switched browsers for this one...but I`ll make it short just in case...Dark....grinding..but what would be expected from ValveDriver..fits the title theme perfectly I think..that part that hits jest before 3 min is per4fectly huge...I don`t really know how to describe it either...but genres & such aren`t helpful to music creation....and this is...as always creative stuff...good to see you back around Aaron....keep on....Ed
So I stopped over for a listen...mainly to give you shit for being way behind in posting....so I hit play on this one...and hot dog....totally fits the title to a T (so to speak)....you up an done the sound track andf if its dark...then so be it...so was that day...but its the one that produced the light....you d` man....do more....Ed
good use of the sounds GT...simple but effective. The subtle little melody bits help keep it interesting..maybe a short section with a key change in the middle would kick it up...but sounds good..good job...keep on....Ed
When I was about half a minute in I was already looking for that little heart button...love the intro...the spoken parts fit nicely with the overall vibe....amazing what can be accomplished with a couple of chords and my ears were perked all the way through....freekin great job Robbie...I`m gonna dl this one & play it over on my music pc...maybe make some guitar noise if I ever get my act together (which hasn`t happened much this year)....Cheers......Ed
Hey Ed good to hear from you as i sit in this winter wonderland i did not make it to my jammin session last night so the guitar sat there lookin at me in a disapproving way. I look forward to you making some guitar noise its my fav instrument. IN the meantime i wish you the very best for the festive season have a good one bro regards Robbie.
You are having a prolific music year jamid....easy to like listening to this one...with the bouncing piano & light airy type pads lifting it up...it has a steady kind of flow that carries you along for the ride...nice break around 2;36....your productions have really been on the money to my taste...just right levels without being overlimited..and nice width in the mix...enjoyed this one...leaves a smile....keep on.....cheers.....Ed
MY Dear Legendary Master Ed,
Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging feedback. Mate, as I said it before in your shadow one must try his hardest to be at least acceptable in this industry as there are no words in any dictionary to apprise your talent and kindness. I really appreciate your encouragement and support. Thanks again for your continuing support.
Majid
Bravo Mark....superb job on the vocals & harmonies...and I really like the straight up accompaniment...my kind of approach when I have the dicipline to do it...This is just really good my friend...and a ton better that the so-called Christmas stuff my radio has started playing....big fav...and a big well done to you....Ed
very nice relaxing mix neuromancer...like the little piano lines that sail above the pad...subtle kind of beat...good easy listening this evening....well done....Ed
That intro starts if off well....has that great old jazzy vibe....interesting listening all the way....nicely done Perko....good to hear something different....Ed
I have never listened to any of your tracks that weren`t top class D.I..no exception here, and I am honoured that you found a way to get some of my guitar bits included. Nice groove going on and your usual fine production.....keep doing it your way...its always good listening....Ed
Thanks for checking out my playlist Mykael...I used to leave up enough to mostly fill the 1st page before I started deleting stuff that was just taking up space, but started finding my tunes posted in other places (ITunes etc)& got a bit tired of having to fart around having them taken down etc....so lately I just keep a few posted. I used to have a small catalog with Pump Audio (Gettys)& did the usual rights registration & BMI listing but that was getting to be a bit much like work & you really need a wide variety of at least 1000 tracks to make it worthwhile.....anyway...my thanks...Keep doing your thing...you are good at it & if you ever need a backing mix or 2 to put in a rainy day folder give me a shout...have a couple of R&B mixes that didn`t like my boring guitar all the way through.....Ed
Forgivie me, Ed....I'm a horrible social media person. I'm just getting around to answering Looperman messages. I have lost both siblings (there were only three of us) in the span of 17 months, then Covid....it's not been a good year so far, but I am counting my blessings! We have decided to put out singles and then group them into an album with some extras thrown in, since we live in a singles driven era, it kind of makes sense. So feel free to send me whatever you think you'd like me to hear. Stay Safe & Creative! --Mykael
Oh Yeah....this is just so good...its a song that for some reason has stuck in my head for a long time (I still have a live version on my music player)..Your version is a bit different in the best of ways...has that rich full backing but also the bit of country vibe you added...you have great vocal character Mykael...its a superb performance man...really did enjoy it and now I`m looking for that little heart button....you are a big taleny....Ed
As always, my friend, it is very good to get feedback from you. Thanks so much for stopping by and listening. I'm happy to know you enjoyed the track. I am very proud of how it turned out. You have this vision in your head of how you want it to be, but then magic sometimes happens and the project turns out far better than you ever imagined!
I stopped by your page, but there is only one tune there. What happened to your Looperman catalog?
The organ intro grabbed mt attention right off..catchy beat...nice key changes...effective breaks....cool little lead melody stuff...good variation while keeping to the consistent theme...and a really nice job on the balance & production....I would say you nailed the whole thing silverman...fab job my friend...one of your best......Ed
I still think it is absolutely one of your best Leon...I didn`t a-b it with the other version but as you mentioned the production may be kicked up a notch in this one....In any case....it is a superb piece of musical art in every regard....Bravo........Ed
If you say so, then it must be so...maestro can't be wrong,
so I'm gladly accepting it as one of my best...afteral that
was briefly my own first thought when I finished it (been extremely pleased with it) but soon the next day I wasn't so sure anymore. I'm also glad you're noticing the slight improvement compared to the SC mix. Sometimes the quick made things are the best ones. It took me 2-3 days from the intial few bangs on my keyboard to the first mix and mastering (SC mix), but then it took me another whole day to make aforementioned improvements, but I guess it was more hairsplitting than anything else...haha...
Thank you so much Ed for stopping by for another listen and for telling me some generous words that I won't easily forget ! I'm also most grateful for the 'fav'...
...means the world!:)
cool stuff...beat driven tunes with a smooth flow (especially the bass & drums combo) always grab attention....Been listening and laughing lately to "Every Day I`m Shufflin"....(I think it should be the senion citizen`s theme song...haha)...so this fits the bill nicely...Cheers....Ed
I second danke`s comments Kyle....you got that epic vibe you were going for....and besides its just a well written song delivered in your own style that I much appreciate...so thats a good place to start...nicely accompanied and produced for that special kind of song thats delivered with heart & touches the listener....Big well done to you....Ed
Thanks Ed, its been awhile since I have posted a new track, I haven't really written anything that I thought was worth posting. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.
I would guess Jim is playing a Tele...got that nice combination of twang & rock bite...Really nice job on the vocal Wayne...its one of those good for the soul rock songs...feels like a comfortable blanket to this ol boy...yeah...ain`t the politicians of the day real winners...tempted to laugh at the daily gong show but its too sad to think of where it leads...all round great bit of music my friend....well done...Ed
I think he was playing a Tele Squire through a Fender Bassbreaker amp so good ears Ed! Yeah, our great Leader....
Oh well, it sure makes life interesting. A good sense of humor is needed during such times. lol
Thanks for listening in. Straight up rock and roll, an old pair of shoes, comfy blanket.....yup.
Wow......it is a great song Domenico...love the vocal & its delivery & the accompaniment is as good as it gets...the limiting doesn`t seem to hurt the dynamics at all so you must have done more than a little work there too...I have done a little live work (mainly just taking feeds from the main mixer & a room mic or 2) so I know a bit about the challenges...you did a great job my friend....and you have a superb result to show for it...you have a talented band....I will buy a ticket if you ever come here.....cheers....Ed
Hi Ed,
Sorry for the huge delay in replaying.
Thanks for the kind words.
If I should ever get close to you I will definitely try to meet you in person: it would be a great honor for me.
Take care, Domenico
I have heard very expensive guitars that don`t sound as good as that old Greco you have going X...very tasty playing & tone to the bone....aside from that kidos to you on the thoughtful composition & instrumentation choices...its just really good listening...Bravo...big fav.....Ed
Wow....this is really good T.G...I hear bits of the influences you mention...but it has a really nice R&B flavour & stands all on its own...rich sounding instrumentation & nice key progression...a big well done to you (The brick wall limiting is effecting the dynamics in your vocal as well as the acccompaniment....bet it will shine brighter if you take that out of your master bus & replace it with a little soft-knee limiting)....This is well deserving of the best production you can come up with....way to go....Ed
I'm really glad you liked it. I'm not sure what the technical terms mean, but I get what you mean about it needing some touching up. Recording on a. Turtle beach gaming headset, so when my new Mic comes in, I'll be working on that. Thank you so much for your comment. It's nice to know I'm doing ok. :)

Technology can sometimes be a real pain, can’t it?
I’m not really one to categorize into genres either. I figure, if it’s good it’s good. It doesn’t have to be confined.
This was one of those “winter tunes”. I generally get a little darker and (no pun intended) chilier with my music in the winter time.
I think that part right around the 3 minute mark would be categorized by most as dubstep. I just call it some fun with synths, and splicing.
Anyhow, I hope all is well. Hopefully you guys are starting to see signs of springtime life up there.
Take care, Ed. As always, it’s good to hear from you.
Aaron.
