on When You Are Here ft Patricia Edwards by TimPhil
Oh Wow.....where have you been hiding Tim....this is absolutely superb beyond my words....(This is a key that Patricia should sing in more often)..The vocal is outstanding, and so is that accompaniment....and so is the lush and clean production....Its got everything that good music should have to touch the soul....and if I`m gushing a bit, its because thats exactly how I feel about it....a very big WELL DONE to both of you.....Ed

Hi Ed

Nice to meet you. Thank you so much for your lovely words. You are such a remarkable and respected musician, to have those comments from you means a lot and I am very grateful.

Patricia has such an amazing talent, both singing and writing, and her vocals always touch your heart. I thank her for this vocal because it says how I feel about my son and daughter. My daughter lives and works 300 miles away and my son is at university in the same city as my daughter. It is very special when we get to see them.

Thanks again for the listen and your comments.

on Why ft Shortbusmusic by Darkreine
wow...I think I have listened to all the versions of this one Kenny and it never fails to move me every time...there is no more talented musical company than our friend Bear who did such a superb job on this one....I love your vocal character (I`m still going to hit you up one of these days when I get the right track)...its kind of something you either have or you don`t.....well written too by the way and very much enjopyed over my way......Ed.......and PS: big thanks for the blues my friend. I was a bit surprised by how many of our Looperfriends got involved and it just was a great example of the power of music (in its various forms) to bring creative people together....a great thing.

on PINK BALLOONS by KAMPUTERA
geez KAMOUTERA.....thats some big fat sounds from that little synth...did you do some editing on them?....I`m a bit dumb about synth programming but you`ve got some very thick sounds going on here.....That little voice didn`t have me fooled for a minute...those suckers are deadly...I had been hoping for some of the more shapely & scantily clad alien types that wanted to be friends but I think I`ll lock the doors & windows tonight....very nicely done...I`ll be back & catch some of your other renditions when I find a bit more LM time.....Ed
KAMPUTERA
KAMPUTERA replied 16th May 2013 - 13 years ago
Very cool story! Yeah, them little buggers pack a punch. As for the Microkorg... It does create those huge analog sounds. I used a Digitech Vocal 400 for the vocals, but the rest was the Microkorg patched to my computer and utilizing Cubase SE software. That was a long time ago... Mid 2000's. Thanks for the Listen.

Take care, Ed.

on Saz Mandolla BagPipe attempt by deciBel
Surprise...surprise.....and bravo Behnam...That percussion and the instrumentation are a beautiful marriage ...don`t change anything...I have used bagpipes in several Celtic tracks I have done in the past and also Uilleann pipes which are Irish...I am originally from Northern Ireland and lived in Scotland for 2 years...so while they may be unusual for some people I am quite familiar with the sounds....This is the first time I have heard them use with an Eastern flavour..and I really enjoyed it.....Your creativity is a wonderful gift my friend....well done indeed......Ed

Thanks for the review and the kind words Ed! There still are a couple of gems on the HDD however due to the "copyright" agreements between me and my former colleagues I will not post them, at least not at the moment.

Thanks once again for the listen and comment. It is appreciated.

on Count on the Blues with Flute by UChris
oh yeah,....this one could go back a long way...but the blues is timeless....Kudos to you on the flute lead UChris...its not only imaginative/creative thinking...its a reminder of some of the jazzy blues tupe tunes that were done by some fantastic instrumentalists in times past....well done...I go back a ways myself and I can asure you...you are in good company...great listening over my way this Sunday evening....keep on.....Ed

Thank you so much, Tumbleweed. Your words are valued highly. You may know the Native flute is keyed in pentatonic minor, thought it contains a major scale that spans only an octave, so I have to choose tracks thoughtfully. My technique and mix may be wanting, but there's nothing like bringing it all home in the end! Thanks again.

It's always easy to sound great when the music is classy and the studio conditions are great, Ed .
We made a good team at that time . Roads unfortunately diverge sometimes ... But I keep so many good memories in mind .
I'm delighted you liked it, Ed . The topic is still very dear to me even if the lyrics may sound awkward . I sang it with my heart .
Thx for having stopped by and your warm words .
Hope you're doing fine, my dear friend .
