an admirable , thoughtfull , heartfull & impressive music & remarkable lyrics . I'd listened to your other tracks before ,but it was most beautifull track from you I've heard here . no doubt as dear Bear has told too , your tallented larynx & innovative mind for best lyrics + Ed = an amazing package .
regards.
Janis, you are such a special talent, but when you combine your skills with those of Ed, it is a magical moment indeed. Your voice is nothing short of spectacular, with perfect pitch, intonation, and inflection. You are truly a rare talent and we are all lucky you have graced Looperman with your presence. Thanks to you and Ed for this wonderful collaboration. Definitely added to my favorites. I hope all is well.
I "fell" on Looperman by chance and yes, speaking of grace, that's what I feel with this opportunity to share and meet and "work" with passionate and very friendly musicians here ...
I would never have dreamt of such a nice place to fulfill my wish of music sharing .
Ed made me a beautiful gift and you came over to listen to the song . I'm overjoyed and very touched .
Yes, all is well Bear, thanks a lot for your gentle words .
Take care my dear friend ;)
oooh, very sooothing, quite impressed, this is only my firstime listening to you Janis. Awesome.
excellent lyrical content and awesome execution.
I love birds :) actually kinda funny - when I do sing it's either about animals or food, and 1 song about both lol
ps: I have an african djembe if you need some sometime lemme know... also lots of acoustic stuff ; )
Hi Neal,
Nice to meet you !
I thank you for this adjective you used, "soothing" ... That's exactly what I felt when I first heard Ed's music .
I'm delighted this song managed to say what we had in our hearts .
Ths for your offer, I will definitely have a walk in your garden, Sir ;)
Cheers,
Janis
I think when you can bring vision to your music you've actually reached the starting point of what it's really all about,it then transforms into storytelling.
I part company with my long time creative muse Salavador Dali here for his abhorrence of folk (and jazz) music,no doubt founded on a misconception that these forms represented an unsophisticated and anachronistic section of society, nothing could be further from the truth...all the culture of the world has at it's heart the voice and memories of the people and nowhere is this more personified than in folk music, and this composition is a superb example.....Such a beautiful song that transports the listener to a multitude of dimensions, you just don't get that everyday,it's a rare thing...I'm amazed,astounded..dare I say dumbfounded!..Now if Salvador had his head screwed on right he might comment.."This song is autobetrothed by it's own chastity".
To Janis and Ed..I salute you!
cheers Dave :)
I'm always amazed by your clever, deeply thought and interesting comments, Dave ... !
I agree with what you say about this misconception about folk music and the fact that folklore is the people's ancestral oral tradition, culture and rituals . Some people look down on folk music considering it as too "rustic", and tend to forget that each musical style has its origins in a previous one, just like blues was born after slaves work songs for instance .
As Ed's music's so pure and delicate, I felt I could sing about tenderness, nostalgia, nature and memories .
I'm very much honoured by your words, Dave and thank you warmly for the time you spent commenting on this song . What pleases my friends, fills my heart with bliss and I'm indeed very glad Ed and you all liked it .
cu around,
My friendliest thoughts,
Janis :)
Life, love and unity, that's what Ed's music infused into my heart when I first heard it . I kept listening to it as a child who wouldn't get out of the water on a sunny and warm afternoon ... Words and notes came naturally when Ed told me that Aghalee was this little magical place very dear to him .
This music is so full of these three elements in your motto, Billy ...
I'm so happy you enjoyed it and paid us a visit here .
Big kisses,
Take good care my dear friend ;))
janis71....thank you so much for doing this one...it was a very ordinary little piece of music until you raised it to the heavens...and I am very proud of you...and to have been a part of your musical journey....now its my fav all time Celtic song....(Loreena would be jealous)......Big Thanks....think I will post a little note in the forums.....Ed
Thank you Ed for the joy I had collaborating with you on this musical jewel ! It brought so much oxygen and peace in my chore ...
I found beautiful pics of Aghalee here : http://www.flickriver.com/places/United+Kingdom/Northern+Ireland/Aghalee/search/
among which some with "swans swimming so boney" ... as Loreena sang !
I'm very touched, honoured and proud of this song we made . Thanks from the depth of my heart, my dear friend .

Description : Something really different.
Balkan folk - Edm style
This song i wrote for my wife and twentieth anniversary of our marriage.
Song is in Croatian and there is also translation to English in lyrics.
Friend of our sang this lyrics and it was produced by me.
Love and peace.
Cheers!
Description : What happens when a short but hypnotic celtic intro turns into something completely different? The most noteworthy collaborator on this track (yeah you guessed, it's Tumbleweed) answered correctly to this question! A newly patented musical genre is what happens...yes..."SlovenianCelticCowboyMusic" is born. Sometimes we just have to cut off from being too serious...The version presented here has been carefully chosen from 4856 or so mixes...
As always all thanks to my dear friend Ed who makes such wonders possible to happen.....
Description : Another simple track... Wonder if my genre selection fits for the tune. :)
Electric guitars by me, every other samples are from the site only. Applied loops :
Description : One of my oceanics. It is a Greek song, short but full of my sentiments about the sea and our land. I am glad to share it with the listeners of LM and of course my friends, co-workers of music.
Description : Recorded while running in and out of home to check out a wonderful aurora. Bassline loops MegaPaul and Mhyst.

Description : This is a country/folk track in a genre I don't do much, so I thought I'd give it a go. It also has some instruments I don't use much, namely the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. I got the title from a movie I saw a few months ago. Hope you enjoy, Scott.
Description : A folk rock ballad done in 3/4 time.
I am performing all guitars, vocals, bass, shaker and tambourine. Drums and French horns written in MIDI. 2 Apple percussion loops used.
Description : I wanted to do something different like i do normaly. And I think that I was successful.
A -drum ´n chill folk song-. A kind of hippie music in colorful garb of the modern era.
At the end of the track there is a bonus.
Something in the way of bonfire music.
Only minor2go with guitar and I sing all alone at ......................................................................................................
feat - minor2go on guitar - EpicRecord on drums - thegibZy on drums -
Description : Wrote it on a relaxing Sunday morning. Acoustic guitar rhythm with an acoustic lead, bass and guiro. Updated: removed some percussion, remixed and mastered.
Description : I had the idea that this lyric could be rapped over my track but not having the skills to do that repurposed Joni's masterful voice - It seems a little jarring at first but I kind of like how it fits as it goes along - My multitracked classical guitar and my constructed beat from various vst kits and 'you know who ' sampled vocal (cut up just a little). Not sure about genre
Feedback welcome
Cheers,
Scott
