dear Ed,your possitve comment is as a certification for me and you know, and dear Ed,according to my interests about your trax, once I had tryed on playing your''frosty windows''with my clasical guitar for myself as a training(to be a better guitarist) .and I played it only with 2 classical guitars, once arpeggio& once solo.I think you can't guess how beautifull your''frosty windows'' sounds by an arpeggio guitar & the same lovely solo that you'r playing in it by classical or acoustic guitar.any way nodoubt if you try anyhow in your classical guitar about each Idea, then I'll find a new classical guitarist to listen to & enjoy.your artistical dancer finger on clasical fingerboard, can be wonderfull.best wishes as always & regards.___Behnam.

on Im Sure That Was Her by srbrown7
Superb track srbrown7...just love the piano and the flute is a really effective contrast ...gives it a bit of a light airyness....Dont change a thing...definite fav.....Ed

srbrown7 replied 10th Apr 2013 - 13 years ago
Thanks Ed. I thought the flute would compliment the piano but getting a complimentary melody is still bugging me when I listen to it however we are usually the biggest critics of our own compositions!?

Man....you did a great job on the lyrics and vocals Darkrein...a nice laid back vibe..I`m on my 2nd listen & its stuck in my head already....I`m a bit new to uploading loops and man is it fun to hear what talented artists like yourself can do to take the music to other places & higher levels....Thank you very much for including some of my guitar parts...I always think its a great compliment when a fellow artist is inspired to include my efforts in their work....and thanks for the dl.....keep on....Ed

Ed, I'm the one should be (and is) thanking you. If it wasn't for real artists like you, who upload their creations and share their music with hacks like me, where would we be?

I'm new to this game too and it's one hell of a ride, but for me it's all about the music.

Thanks again for your inspiration. The pleasure really was all mine.

on She Sails Beyond The Mists FT Janis71 by brillbilly
Oh man....this version has got all the mystical haunting vibe...floating on water that feels like air...you just couldn`t listen and not start getting the visuals in your mind...this is how ambient - cinematic music should be...and Carole`s vocal stylings add that indescribable beautiful touch that lets it all soar above the waves...a big well done to both of you.....Ed

Thank you very much Ed!

You know what its like, when you get an idea and you just go with it.!

I just got this idea about She Sails becoming a Trilogy.!

The only thing left to do was to produce 3 different vibs.

First is love and loss, second being feelings of not knowing really where you are, and third being reunited.

So that really set the stage.!

The rest was just down to my imagination.!

Thoughts put to music is all i try to do.!

Thank you so much for keeping an eye on her voyage, its lovely to know it ended in warm hugs lol

on an Instrumental hymnography by deciBel
hey Behnam....I really like the acoustic guitar chords in this one...reminds me of some of my most favourite music of the past by some of our great folk rock musicians...and the flute is a most interesting touch...The production sounds good...but most of all I must congratulate you on your musical thinking....composition...That brings the instruments together is such an interesting way....To me that is absolutely one of the things that raises musicians above the crowd....well done...really enjoyed listening to this one...and I hear the music improving every time I stop by.......Ed

I'm so glad & houred to see your positive comment dear Ed . in the same reason You may know how is important for me to know your possitve or negative Idea about any of my trials & about this acoustic riff I should say it was a trial about such triad notation chords just to know how it would make sound in such sequence.but How Interesting if there is any folk rock track which you've liked it & my trial has been reminding that to you & I would be glad if you tell me about the artist name of that folk rock guitar track wich you're talking abot cause I would be glad to listen to & nodoubt I'll learn from such good tracks which some remarkable guitarist like you has loved it .
greatest regards & best wishes(+ that short notification you know) .___Behnam.

on toxic relationship by Vincropathee
Have to confess I am not a fan of the genre Vincropathee...but I sure can recognize when something is well done and you have good stuff going on here...The vocal comes across really nice and clear and thats an addictive beat...I think the mix is running in D minor all the way?..and I`m betting you could kick it up a notch or 2 if you find a spot where you could insert a couple of key change markers (C or A)..Please don`t take that as a criticism.....It sets the bar pretty high just as you have it....well done....Ed

on Plastic by visionarysoundsystem
There are times when stretching some of those old rules a bit really works...like you have done here Vis...I think electronic genres generally lend themselves a bit more to the use of different techniques....I used to focus on panning drum & cymbal stuff (other than the kick & snare) but the last couple of years (I`ve been using loops most of the time) I have resorted to putting just a touch of mid-side processing on the drum mix (CM Stereoizer has a perfect preset for it)....Anyway....This is top class House....You`ve been keeping the bar really high on the genre....much enjoyed...Ed

visionarysoundsystem replied 23rd Mar 2013 - 13 years ago
Hey Ed, hope you are well my friend? Thanx for such a positive & kind review. I really appreciate it. I'm glad you got my idea about panning the percussive sounds. I have since remixed this track and not been quite so extreme on the panning, as suggested by Rouge, and it sounds ok as well. Anyways thanx for taking time to stop by, listen & review.

on Karma by BunnieRabbit
As I was listening to that intro I was thinking...This is as close as I have heard any vocalist come to sounding like Adele...I hadn`t caught that listening to your other tracks...and have you noticed that a lot of Adele`s other music is really basic piano, bass & drums type accompaniment...anyway..must say you are off to one very fine start...If its not quite finished yet I`ll look forward to the final...Ed

on Sensuality by crucethus
This one is a tonic for the ears crucethus...beautiful big fat pad sounds, thoutghtful composing and some tasty chord progs...I like the bass sounds...a little like a fretless, with lots of harmonics..the melody is almost implied rather than in your face kind of stuff..and my ears & speakers both really like the mix....Superb bit of musical art my friend...and very much enjoyed over my way tonight....Ed
crucethus
crucethus replied 21st Mar 2013 - 13 years ago
Thank you for those accolades. I have no formal training playing piano or keyboards. I was just an obsessed teen with synths and keyboards that I am completely self taught. So my style of playing is more in line with how a guitarist thinks in terms of riffs. I also wanted to play like a metal guitarist so I have some older tunes where I distort my keys and try to play wicked solos with a wah wah pedal. With songs like this I tried to bring emotion in an almost restrained method. I like your notes on the melody being implied, I think that describes it in a way for years I couldn't say. I have another example of this style but a more Jazz chord structured song.
