This is the fun part...the rewards for posting a few loops once in a while...I like the whole mix Optimistic...That big kick beat is really different & goes perfectly with this one....real chill laid back kind of vibe with a bit of sibtle power..I have always liked working from my fav chord progs....Anyway...enjoyed this one...thanks...and thanks for the fine company you put me in on this one....Ed
I am really glad you liked and approved what i did with your stuff. As for your fav chords,if it aint broke, dont fix it.Thanks for listening and commenting.
Sorry for the late reply. It has been one of those weeks.
nothing weird about it to my ear MrShores...Its just good music put in a modern hip hop context..actually I don`t find the bass overstated at all...with the kick its holding down the bottom end well and I have noticed that bass is generally a more prominent part of music that it used to be...as far as EQ in your high mids go...I always give the lead (piano) its natural space and make other overlapping sounds go around it...I like the track...its really well done..and I really don`t think it needs more than you have here.....much enjoyed....Ed
Aptly titled Chris....in fact this is just the sort of thing that would induce speeding if I happened to be driving at the moment...and I would have to turn you in as an accomplice..ha....Well done mate...its driving my speakers & my ears right now......Ed
Creativity doesn`t need a genre Carole....I hear the feeling.....quite different for you...but definitely not weird...Your voice reminds me that Loreena McKinnett will be here at our local folk fest in the park next month and I plan on being there....You cannot do a song I would not like.....Ed
Aw, Ed ... Saying you "hear the feeling" is the most valuable comment you could make on that thingy ... Reading your words moved me a lot .. you know how much your opinion counts for me, my so dear friend ...
WILL SHE ??! Oh gosh !! Dunno what I'd give to be there ...!!
If only I could listen to her once in my life !
Oh sure I can !!
D'you want me to try ? haha .
Big hugs and kisses to you, Ed .
Take good care, my dear friend ;)
where to start......the bass is friggin awesome Dave...the sax is dripping joy...the drums are pumpin good...the whole band is in the groove....the producer is breathing heavy life into the whole thing.....Upbeat goodness for a Saturday morning a bit north of your place....great stuff mate.....keep on....Ed
Hey Ed,thanks mate...trying out some new strings on my bass(DR Sunbeams,I really dig them.) and couldn't stop slapping the stick a little.....I'm not really a big fan of slap bass as it's bordering on instrument abuse! lol...glad you liked it man!..all the best Dave,Steve,Detlef :)
well...I`m definitely no expert on the genre...but I love to hear music like this that is just good listening regardless of genre...nice patient intro build..well chosen key/chord progressions...effective breaks and transitions...and excellent production.....all round its really well done RO1D.......Ed
oh yes...a nice patient intro building towards the main part of the song....and the variations as is moves along...Flute always has a haunting or sacred feeling to me and it contrasts nicely with the accompaniment....well done Behnam....and I know our friend Bear will want to hear this one...I think he is away for a while now....He has been travelling often lately (to visit his little Grand Daugher I think) but hopefully he will catch up with you in the near future......HaHa your new name here might not appeal to your controlling persecutors who rule with fear and force.....Keep doing your music...but take care....Ed
Hey Ed , I wanted to please U to put frist commenT for this trial of mine , buT I was shy to tell U to do iT & now I'm so glad to see first commenT is yours . abouT my new name , ...yes...I know , I'll take care , buT I thaught it's a good way to say my message to anyone who listenes these trials which I'll upload in this profile ...
and abouT Bear , Ed I have more than 8 trials which I've used his loops in them ( once is all made by his loops ) , buT I've selected this one , cause Bear haD listened this
trial of mine abouT 3months ago & when he still didn't know I'll dedicate this track to he/himself & had possitive idea abouT the way I had used his loops . and for the same I selected this trial to dedicate to him as someone who I think many of looperman forums like me should be honoured for his attend in hear ( like your precense , Franco presence & some other masters who althoughT I haven't been so honoured to be their friend too , buT I reallY learn aloT
from him like Wayne , like JoeFunktarisT , or planet jazzbass &..) . & ...hahaha..., cause I have never seen Bear ( or U ) doesn'T allow for download I allowed download Ed , honestY I've composed a persian texT on it by myself , buT U're listeninG instrumental version .
Ed , thnX aloT for everythinG as always . ____Behnam
I really like to hear music composed around nice chord progs and thoughtful composing...like this one aiemen...a sprinkle of smoothjazz..and a splash of chill...made good listening......Ed
The word smoooooth came to mind right away Scott...wish there was a real drummer in my neighbourhood (I have to settle for loops & samples most of the time)...Franco is a very talented guy so you`ve got good company on this one for sure...the big power in that lead guitar really contrasts nicely with the rhythm tracks and the flute is a really nice touch...Nice to hear this thoughtful kind of composing and talented playing here on the loop.....Its just a great track guys...guess it should be with the talent in the band....Ed
Thanks allot, Ed. We appreciate your kind words to help kick off our new Looperman page. We were accumulating several compilation tracks, so we figured opening up a page aside from our individual pages would be better served.
You take the genre to a whole new level Chris...and while I know little about genres...I do have great admiration for creativity that produces this kind of result...never considered myself an "Industrial" fan...yet on more that a few occasions I have dipped in the industrial beats folder when I needed something different....This one has a bit of cinematic quality too...makes for a good and interesting listen (the kind of characteristics that separates the Loop from our commercial radios).....right on....Ed
I think so, too. For that reason most of my tracks are of cinematic genre. You see, there's more freedom to create.
Thanks for listening and comment! :D
Oh Yes....who cares what genre it is....its dm good....dash of soul....sprinkle of R&B...dab of chill..lots of creativity....well done SJ....I really like this one big time....Ed
kind of a multi-genre trip here CitizenMofo...I really like the cinematic genre as it gives you all kinds of license to take the music wherever the spirit moves you....you made good use of it here and you did a nice job of holding it all together with the breats & transitions....good on ya.....Ed
Yeah, I never know what genre to put my stuff in. I don't think in genres, just in sounds that I like. Which is probably why I'll never be rich and famous, oh well. I wanted a head-bopping body-mover that reached a sort of beatific climax. Whether I achieved that or not, it's good to hear that it resonates with someone. Thanks for the listen and comment, Tumbleweed, I appreciate it.
Fantastic Carole....I certainly agree with the many good things that have been said about this one...Top of the charts over here at my place....great track.....Ed
All the merit goes to Paul and the buddies . It's quite easy for a singer to sound good on such a track .
I'm very happy and honoured you stopped by, my dear Ed .
'Hope you're fine,
Take care,
Bises ;)
Hey 12string.....this is funkin great stuff my friend...its gotta leave you with a big smile....glad I listened to this one this Saturday morning...its got the day off to a funky good and happy start.....way to go...a big well done to you and Patricia.....Ed
Hey wat you mean Saturday morning. It,s bed time lol. Glad you enjoy a good funk first thing in the morning. Worked hard on this one so your kind words are appreciated my friend. Didn't know how disco would go down here on the loop but worth a shot lol. Now if it was Hip Hop!
whatever changes you did to the mix have it sounding good Megapaul...when it comes to mixing we all have our own tastes or preferences, but I like the live feel to this one and the guitars have a nice fat sound...Patricia`s vocals are always good...and the composition you developed really works....nicely done....Ed
that piano/key bit around 4:20 is real tasty...proof that house/trance can be good listening as well as good dancing Kenny...some really nice sounds and the mix gives them a smooth type of vibe....enjoyed this one....Ed
I`ve loved that B3 sound since I first heard Booker T...Wish NI still made their B4 vsti (I have an old version that runs (partially) on my 64 bit system)...Great playing Stefano and you really nailed the vibe....much enjoyed....Ed
Well, I haven't found yet a completely acceptable Hammond emulation, particularly for Leslie.
For the organ sound in this track I used both Cakewalk Sound Center and a free vst plugin called Organized Trio, which is not bad especially for that 'deep rock' preset (there is also another nice preset which emulates ELP's Pictures at an exhibition).
oh yeah....really nice laid back late night listening..Kudos to Samantha on the vocal and the music has a nice smoooth jazzy vibe....well done you two.....Ed
now thats metal guitar....great job Eric...and the vocal fits to a T Mark...This one is the way it should be...with vocals that are fully legible/audible and the accompaniment still shines through (I have heard more that a few metal tracks where the vocal was just totally overpowered)...Nicely done guys...(its a hot mix)......Ed
Ed,
TY man. This in my opinion is where metal should be. Black and Death Metal are just all double kick and emotionless. Not to mention the screaming... :/
I have called this style "White Metal".
And yes, I mixed it hot on purpose :)
Mark.
Now this is different...as I have come to expect..really like the vocal and the imaginative sounds you wrapped around it Spiv......no boring commercial pop here....great track...enjoyed the listen...Ed
Oh man...that fat low bass is killer good..I can`t claim much knowledge of the genre smallpaul but I`ve noticed it often has some fantastic sounds (like this one)..Bonnie`s vocal is top notch and must say you did a super job of the composition and wrapping the music around it...You`re making a drum n bass fan out of this ol boy....great track....Ed
Hi mate thanks for kind review, I love a bit of Drum & Bass every now and again. I already had the track down (mostly) and Bonnies pella was just amazing and after a bit of work it came together.
