Hey Man thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. Glad you enjoyed. I did this on for a music competition ( which I did not win LOL) So stepped out of my usual genre and came out with this tune which I wanted to mainly feature the synths' Basic thought process was to do a build up then drop the synths. Took a while to put them together because they were all loops. Take care and I will be checking you out. Thanks again!! Fila

on May You Never ft 12string by Darkreine
Hi Kenny...a big well done to you and 12String...you might not know it, but in spite of the fact that I make some cluttered tracks & lots of noises, I would just as soon listen to a good song with an acoustic guitar for accompaniment...so suffice to say...I really enjoyed this one a lot....Ed

Hey Ed,

Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for your kind words.
I bought a new guitar a while back, but the old Hag has a unique sound, so it still gets used mostly.
I'm getting round to catching up too!

on Chicago Swing - after feedback edits by ronabo
I like this one ronabo...has a nice jazzy vibe...the bass is right on and you`ve got some great keyboard skills going on here...that little part where you drop the backing & tinkle the keys around 1;25 is really effective...smoooooth listening...like it the way it is...if I were to try & think of anything to change it would just be something along the lines of maybe adding a tad more variation....maybe throwing in a little bridge part way through to step it into some different/complimentary chprd progs......enjoyed the listen....well done.....Ed
ronabo
ronabo replied 19th Aug 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks Tumbleweed.. Glad that you liked it and I appreciate your feedback. This is a work in progress track so i just might add another part to enhance the track. Good idea about the bridge part.

Thank you very much!
Well, this song was the first I made.
It was just a kind of experiment.
I wanted to make another song like this one, but I couldn't.
I couldn't recreate this style anymore.
For that reason this is the only epic-orchestral-dubstep song I made.

Thanks for listening and comment!

Hey doudei.....bring those vocals up lots next time...they sound good (I shouldn`t comment on other people`s vocals as I couldn`t sing to save my life haha)....Very laid-back track that makes good relaxing listening this morning...very thoughtfully and precisely done....Ed
doudei
doudei replied 30th Jul 2013 - 12 years ago
hey thanks a lot Ed, glad you enjoyed this in the morning :)
i tried to make the vocals louder, this was the upper limit, after that it started to sound out of tune in a noticeable way. i will have to re-record the vocals in s1 once i figure out an issue i am having with rewire. this was all done in reason 6.5 and it was quite laborious to record and work with the vocals - no channel grouping for starters...
thanks for listening and commenting! :)

on Slightly remastered Piano ft Katie Bregman by SeriouslyJoking
well...I think you`re off to a fine start SJ...I love piano (even though I sometimes claim to be an ol guitar guy)..perhaps reduce the volume very slightly and maybe try inserting a mid-side processor to widen the piano and leave a vocal spot in the middle (there are some decent free ones...check Brainworx Music for their BXSolo)..I don`t mind quite a bit of reverb..although I might reduce it a touch (its a personal taste think I think)...also..on your reverb setting...set the pre-delay quite long (50ms or so) and that will allow the initial vocal phrases to sound clearer before the reverb kicks in...The disonance isn`t overly concerning but you could check the key relationship between the piano & vocal & perhaps get them closer.......will have to check back & hear how you make out....Keep it rolling...and a well done to you....Ed

What a great guy you are, Ed!! Thank you for taking your time to listen and giving lots of very good advice. Especially that about the BXSolo - I'm checking in to that and the rest of it first thing tomorrow.

Right now I've just used FL's stereo enhanger to widen the piano a bit and looked over the pitching part.

on Charle funk a doodle by RichieWinn
A dash of funk...a splash of jazz...I know nada about a lot of genres Richie & don`t pay much attention to them so I`m with whatever you decide it is...note you mentioned sax...I personally think that would be a great addition..I can hear it a nice sax piece in my mind as I write...sliding smoothly over the busier key bits..kudos on keeping it fairly minimal where everything is nice and crisp and plays its part (I have cluttered more than a few of my own mixes in the past...now more careful not to do so)...You`re off to a great start and its nice to hear a new one from you after what seems like a very long time....great stuff....keep on....Ed

Hi Ed

Thanks for the comments - always good to have you drop by and listen. Hope to get the sax player from the band I work with around soon to try some ideas and maybe put a guitar synth part down myself too. Yes, there's a lot of space left and as you say the trick is not to fill it all!

Best

on Love and Recognition by deciBel
Hello Benham...thank you for the copy you sent (I still cannot get the Looperman track to play)...but I must say...you excel with the classical guitar...it is superbly played and you carry the main percussive style theme through the song with some wonderful embellishments....this is great playing Behnam...The section from 1:45 to 2:33 brings a much darker feeling (I would call it ominous or dangerous) while the rest of the musical journey is very happy and upbeat....perhaps the darker section reflects your personal thoughts...I must also say a very well done to you on the production...the tone, clarity and balance are excellent (even to my ears that are not as good as they used to be)...I hear that you have been very thoughtful and precise in the composing and most skillful in bringing it together for us to hear.....Bravo....your accomplishments should be shared with the younger people in your country as encouragement for their musical creativity......Well done to you.
Your fellow student

Ed ,your mastership attention , analysis , perception , & encouragemenT would be as nice remembrance & impression & worthwhile as getting a certificate for me . & my training on your skillfull pieces has helped me abuT this trial . no countrY I have Ed..music is my ##### but Iran's younger generation's tallents are a gold mine which my traX seems a quarry beside their tallents if they had freedome of speech for express themselves without this islamic murder god . & Ed , master , We both know I learn from U( exclusivelY as a fav guitarist of mine in your generation ) & in facT I learn from your generation .that last phrase in your comment make me shy , & makes me want to deffend my favorite guitarist too both . Ed your guidance & encouragements as a throughbred musician who is as a master to me , makes me as a young musician to learn true mastership behaiviour for my furtures & I appreciate U for all these lessons ,so much.
