You`re raising the HipHop bar a notch SikStyle...I think a lot of us have impressions of the genre but I notice you`ve been bringing in different instrumentation and putting it down around some nice chord progs....its a bit dark but it is effective for the rap....Ed
Candelaria...in answer to your question...if you want to send me a mix to add guitar on..just mail me & I`ll tell you my email...I am not very good at Latin style but I could give it a try if you are not in a hurry..I am not always successful at my attempts....Ed
Hi Polyfronetic....love that drop at 2:50 and the outro...Trance is not often on top of my listening preferences but this is reallyb well done....much enjoyed....Ed
I really like to hear how you (and others here) compose around vocals...for me its a big weakness..play an instrument & I`ll play along but with acapellas I struggle to find the song key & structure (habits of an old rhythm guitar player).......you really done good on this one Steve...It definitely hits the "Dance" genre square on...but it would easily cross over tothe Pop genre considering that a lot of pop now seems to draw on the main elements of dance music...its "Now" music all the way....great stuff mate....Ed
I was just going to stop over here at your place to remind you you were overdue to upload a new one...and now you went and done this....and now you`ve got me all hyped up again just before bedtime....but I`m enjoying the ride anyway...I`ll take a rest tomorrow when I get back to being an old guy again....if this is old school, I`m pre-historic....oh yeah..guess I am...but you bring back those great memories of getting kicked out of the clubs where the girls were....you are a wicked man...and this is (as usual) wicked good.......Ed
Well Saint7x...you have every right to be proud of this one...I don`t have to be an expert in the genre to hear when something is done so well...some great sounds, good compositional thinking here the way you bring them together in some very tasty chord progs...nice quality mix...and most important of all its just dm good listening...I`ll be dl-ing this one for more listens & thanks for that too....great job...Ed
oh no Mr Ed Cunningham I didn't know that is you while writing that comment.
shiiiiittt ##### my gosh!now Behnam has written I must delet this track .I think you have told him about my comment for you.
i don't need vocal ac tually,i am a vocalist by myself.
i have 2 albums in my country i am a vocal and lyricist.
an interesting mix domr......I like the voval, although there are a couple of little parts ( frrst at 0.55sec) where it distorts slightly in the higher frequencues....the break at 1:18 works really well and the section at 1:45 definitely moves the song into rock land....enjoyed the listen...well done....Ed
I always enjoy the acoustic guitar played straight up and allowed to speak its own tune..I do not have a good knowledge of the classical artists but I have greatly enjoyed artists who bring the latin flavour into a modern perspective...like The Gypsy Kings..well done Candelaria...Ed
a lot of things to like in this one Dazz...starting with the compositional structure itself...vocal is really embellished by the way you have wrapped the guitar parts around (not over) the melody/vocals....tasty piano & strings....overall really well done.....enjoyed the listen....Ed
no fair....the band is plugged with talent....and the resluting music is evidence......great track BedlamKids....much enjoyed.......knew I would.....Ed
Now this is good......it does have a kind of "Danger" vibe...really like the drop/transition around 1:30....Notice you had some talented musical company and must say you brought it together seemlessly...well done chromdom...hope the weather is still being reasonably kind to you over there....stop passing it on to poor souls East of you...haha....Ed
you do my kind of music sr.....thoughtful in it composition...skillful in it execution...patiently building...carrying the vibe intended and drawing the listener into the picture....my playing days created for me a habit of developing the main sections around chord progs I liked and I note that you do it well....Just extra good listening.....enjoyed....well done....You will be welsoming the warmer weather down under while we on the end await the chill........Ed
Thanks Ed. Yes, we are long due some warmer weather here. I reckon the seasons have shifted a month! It might may for some more cheerier music! Thanks for your great feedback.
oh yeah....it was sailing along nicely...and then jumped to a new level that would get the floor paying new attention....very nicely done johnnyproducing.....Ed
I agree Steve...I think you got it right too...its steps aside from the usual in a really good way...aided I think by the way you used the strings and synth bits in combination with the power in the drum tracks...when combined with the vocal it makes for one of those tunes that just seems to hold your attention....right on.....Ed
yeeeehaw...you have gone wild Sherris...haha...this sounds like the parties I might have gone to with my bandmates in my younger days.....long live the blues.....Ed
hehehe i love party and i'm a ballet dancer too Ed.
long live party yuuuuuuup heheh .thank you very much for taking time to listen.it's great to hear from you .
Atusa
wow.....this is wonderfully creative music Sherris...perhaps the musical journey that you have been on in your part of the world gives you some unique ideas ...interesting elements...perhaps a touch of Latin...a little Celtic..some Mid-East..piano is good everywhere...amyway it is a good combination and I particularly enjoy the acoustic instruments and the way you have constructed the composition to keep our listening intersting.....well done to you...Ed
wow this is a pleasure to see your kind words about my music and means alot for me. Ben convinced me about the reasons why he calls you master.and you have a speciall great respect
deep inside me dear Ed.
peace & smile .

Hey SJ,....that intro was great and the transition to the main section right on....not having any real expertise on the genre I cant offer any intelligent suggestions...I just enjoyed the listening to this one....Ed
Hi again, Ed!
It seems that the intro is what people like in this song, and I thought the intro to be too boring!
Haha...
Thanks so much for listening and for the long answer to my comment about your song today - no need to post that loop I was asking for - I was just curious about the instrument and wanted to know if I could somehow make the same beat in a FL DAW.
And about your songs - DON'T DELETE THEM!!
I like this one Exp54....definitely different but in the best of ways....I`m likely a bit biased..being into guitar & bass ..but must say I really enjoyed the listen...creative stuff....Ed
I hear those touches of Santana that you mentioned Scott....and some very nice touches of latin jazz...still..it is indeed very Latin...and that is what you do well...another good one going on here guys...well done....Ed
It's funny, Ed...I don't really consider myself a Latin musician. I just follow what Franco composes. He's the real Latin musician. If you listen to the stuff on my personal site, there is very little that is Latin based. I'm more a funk and jazz musician. I do love the challenge Franco give me, though.
Hi Kamputera.....interesting that you found an android app the can actually record without more latency than acceptable...I gave up looking after reading that the system just wouldnt work for audio at any decent specs....notice some distortion in the track...likely just overdrove the inputs capability a bit but if you discount that it sounds surprisingly good....I got tired of spending hours trying to do stuff with the major software years ago...and I have used most of them over the years (they all work fine if you want to spend a lot of time at it I guess)....been using Acid Pro for about the last 8 years...does everything I could do on anything else...just easier & most stuff on the fly.....keep on......Ed
Thanks TW for your review. I believe this track was recorded live with my ANDROID device on record near a Roland Micro Cube. My levels were a bit too high and my Droid, possibly, too close to the amp. Tape-A-Talk records in .wav, but there's another app. called ASR that records to .mp3. I'll be giving that one a try. The computer that had my recording software on it crashed and I'm hesitant to resurrect it. I appreciate the listen Ed and Take Care, Mario.
great combination of chill and power...worked my speakers out nicely....and bit of an R&B flavor...all round just good listening...really well done...enjoyed this one......Ed
Hey Lee....just following up on your reply (and big thanks for those track comments by the way...always appreciated)...I cleaned up most of my posts (with the delete button) but if you ever hit one of my tunes that might work for a vocal...or anything else you may want to do....just mail me....I would be more than happy to do a mix without the usual lead guitar stuff for you.....you or I could add some lead bits after if we wanted.....I usually have several music mixes from ones that I didn`t finish or where the lead escaped me if you need any rainy day fun too.......Ed
