Description : This one's a real international project featuring the exceptional talent from Janis71 (France) - vocals, Mr.Funktastic (U.S) - brass, Neddings (Netherlands) - piano, and of course us, Franco (Italy) - guitar, bass, midi strings, & midi flute (midi's played with guitar using Sonuus G2m), and Scott (U.S) - drums, percussion. If I had to describe a style, this would be a Latin/jazz/folk tune. Many hours were involved in this track, so hope you enjoy. We'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's amazing...super professional...jazzy but (or and) top charty :-)
I love Janis's voice, today this is the second time (first was in VickyDan's new song...) wooaaw :-)
Feelgood music from this pro tnternational crew...
Thanx for this outstanding minutes, Danke
Wow...Thank YOU, Danke, for a very humbling comment. I'm blushing! Agree, Janis' (Carole's) voice is most excellent. I think she is one of the top three singers on this community. She mentioned maybe redoing this track with live vocals instead of the pellas we used. Hope it materializes
Scott....all that work you guys put into it is creating some most pleasurable listening for my old ears right now..Carole is just a superb vocalist (I dont think it would be possible for her to do something I didnt love)..Just a great job on the composition, instrumentation and performance....Guess that makes the whole thing just dm good music....super track everyone...take a well deserved bow.....Ed
Thanks allot, Ed. Your high praise is encouragement, indeed! I agree with you concerning Carole. I'm hoping we will have a new version of this track and possibly others with her.
Truly EXCEPTIONAL .... A range of good musicians, a divine singer, there are here all ingrediens for to listen to high quality music and catchy..
Congratulations to the team and a big thank you for sharing this strong moment ....
Chapeau bas, à vous tous ....
Hello there Scott! First let me shout out to Janis and say I love the tone of your voice...kinda reminds me of Basia. I love the instrumentation as well...Janis'vocals seem to be in the rhythm pocket for the most part, and that's pretty cool that you were able to do that. However, I do also hear some clashing going on which sometimes makes her vocal seem out of tune...for instance around 1:17 where she sings the word "dry" there seems to be a disconnect for a second..then it's right back in the pocket until the disconnect happens again. Perhaps if you take Janis up on her offer to lay a fresh vocal over your wonderful instrumental that would solve the problem. Other than that, I have to say Well Done!
Thanks for your comments. I have contacted Carole and am taking her up on the offer to lay fresh vocals. I have always loved her vocals, and you're right, she does sound like Basia since you mentioned it. Hopefully, you will hear a new version.
Thanks again, Carole. I thought that's what you were singing, but wasn't sure. Not sure what it means, but you are the poet. Chloroform puts you to sleep, so guess it means your soul is sleeping?
Hi Scott and Franco :)
I do like the instrumental, sounds awesome ! I know how tough it is to adapt "out of the blue" pellas to a music piece and you managed quite right but I think this track deserves real singing . Next time, I'll be glad to sing for you if you wish me to :)
Thanks a lot for the wink,
Greetz
Carole
I'm delighted that you approve of OUR track. Yes, it is tough to work with pellas, but Franco does a great job with this task. I think it would be amazing for you to put new vocals to the track if you are interested in taking it on. I can send you the track minus the vocals and you can do your thing. I will contact you with my email.
My friend, this is clearly NOT constructive criticism! It's criticism to make you feel better about yourself. You will find it more beneficial to learn from this community. We are all willing to help if you need it, and clearly...Nuff said!
I was a bit perplexed by your comment! I have certainly NEVER commented negatively about another member's track, and I will not start now, but I did give a listen to all of the tracks you have uploaded on your page and I can understand why you find our track "out of sync!" After listening to your work, I am no longer perplexed by your comment, but we thank you very much for your left handed words.
Wonderful Song. I have to repeat myself: the vocals from Carole are simply wonderful and you have used them in a beautiful way. Maybe it could have been interesting to hear a more "complex" text but repeating the bits you have worked pretty well.
The drums are perfect: love the fill at 2:05
The overall drum sound is incredibly tight and "professional".
Kudos to Franco as well: his guitar work is very balanced and subtle. Exactly what the song needed.
The arrangement deserves some good notes as well. Maybe some more variations on the keyboard pattern could help, but it's a minor thing.
In one word: superb!
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks allot, Domenico. If not mistaken, the pellas were a combination of three, so Franco pieced them together. Wish we'd have had more. Thanks for the kind words on the drums.
This piece is well put together! Bravo Scott and Franco! Job well done by the both of you. Nice touch with the other samples too with piano and brass instruments.

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?
