Hi Soraya...yes I agree..there is a haunting quality and some darkness notable in the introduction right away...the flute and vocal are special...This one was a very enjoyable listen..I hope we hear more music on LM with the ethnic influences that bring new sounds and ideas to us....well done...Ed
Thank you very much for your words!
Well, as I said on description, I only wanted to test my new library. I have some instruments, but I need the Strings and Winds library for completing my collection.
I hope I can get them soon.
Thanks for listening and comment! :D
I like this one hamood...it is quite cinematic and paints pictures of mystery...darkness....suspense...It is music that makes one think of the scene that it paints....well done...Ed
You surprise me even more than usual Behnam....On this side of the world guitar playing like that would get your picture on a lot of music and entertainment magazines...and the girls would be chasing you everywhere you went...but there is more...I understand the musical picture you paint..the darkness...the anger....the sadness....the frustration...the power...and the justice that should be done....Heavy metal is not on my regular listening Behnam (although I like a group called Nightwish)...but music created with thougtfulness, feelings ,creativity and passion alwsy is....and always has my great respect.....great creation you have made...for a worthy cause...Ed
Thank you ED, I had fun doing this one, and it was infact late night when this track was created. Comming by to holla shortly. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
In any genre you want to post it...its still really good listening Leverett...I enjoy listening to how others use acapellas as trying to compose to them is not one of my strong suites...This really is a super bit of work...very smooth...love the instrumentation and the way you let the mix evolve....much enjoyed...well done...Ed
The town I live in has a lot of rock fans EA...I think you could keep pretty busy playing around here with them metal chops..I hear the talent and that usually overcomes any of the little technical production things...I`ve been producing since tape days but got totally tired of all the steps you had to do for even the simplest things with most recording software....download the trial version of Sony Acid (I`ve used the pro version for about 10 yrs...but the studio version is actually all anyone would usually need)...I`m now totally biased...but its a piece of cake to use...all on one screen & you wont even need to look at the built-in tutorials or help files usually) good basic plug-ins etc......anyway...I know you`re doing it for the joy of playing & sharing....keep on doing it.....well done...Ed
Thanks man, ..."tape days"... yep, you been around :) I was still tryin to mow lawns for money to buy them old casettes lol. I appreciate your feedback and I'm looking into sony acid. Thanks again!
Perhaps it the flute but as it came in I was thinking "Enigma"....as I listen to this one Steve..I`m just thinking...glad I found the Loop (I had disregarded it as a listening post for a long time)....I could listen to this kind of music..for a very long time when its done this well....kudos to you...definite fav....Ed
I`m just listening on my pc speakers tonight Steve..but that sax sounds good to me...I`ve often gone looking for decent horn sounds for Chicago style blues etc and come up a bit empty as I`m a pretty poor keyboard player...Quite a big mix this one..but clear as a bell...smooth listening, yet has that power drive from the drums & bass that let you feel it....This kind of music I could just sit at the back table witha cool brew and listen to for the night...your compositional & playing talents are obvious...I`ll join Bear & danke in the ovation....Ed
Hi Ed, VSTi's are getting better at the more natural instrument sounds but are still limited for range , librato and playing effects like reed sounds etc so I myself limit their use. Really glad you liked the song.
Bravo.....just had to hit the play button when I seen you used a 6-8 (waltz style) beat...haven`t heard it used in popular music for ages...believe it or not I just recently went looking for (and found a copy of) an old song by the first incarnation of the Moody Blues (You Better Go Now) that grabbed me by the mind and ears long after I discovered the bands 2nd incarnation (they used a waltz eat very prominently in it)....anyway...beautiful rich intro and great job on letting it just build and evolve...this is thoughtful composing and really great listening Steve....just a great track..should be on a soundtrack....Ed
well...if you are 14 (which I dont believe) I`m sure you have a great future ahead of you...I am always reluctant to offer advice on a genre that I have little experience with so I tend to just consider wheather or not I enjoyed listening....found this one a bit too repetative (but I understand that is the nature of a lot of dance genres) although you certainly did keep it rolling with the instrument changes, arps and beat drops...not sure how accurate the wav. graphic is here on the Loop & while it looks like you have it limited down to everything at the same volume I thought the dynamics were fine (synths seem to be quite forgiving that way and I`m just listening pc my pc speakers) and the mix sounded nice and clean....I`m sure you will get a lot more useful feedback that I am able to provide....keep on...and all the best...Ed
You`ve got some really great musical company on this one gomagn...very nice job keeping JJ`s vocals up front & nice & clear...thats just a great sax part from Reiko...I think I may have one of his on file as its just so dm versatile it fits most everything...You`ve got everything you need in here...nice minimal type mix that lets every part work & comes of with a chilled vibe all the way...enjoyed this one....well done.....Ed
funny thing...the music that has stuck in my head the longest (and thats a long time) has tended to be the simple ones that just strike some feeling that says "Save to the hard drive" to the brain...nicely paced for a dancy vibe...yet smooth enough to leave a peaceful feeling...Good stuff Mark...keep doing it.....Ed
very classy intro...then hitting some of the biggest baddest wobbles on the planet...that drop around 2:18 where you dropped the drums & then brought in the big orchestral style percussion is great stuff....like that little transition at 3:17 too.....creative track HR...really liked this one....Ed
well DjTymZ....it sounds pretty good to me for something you dont usually do (kudos to you for giving it a shot)...its a nice easy listening track...only thing I noticed was that a couple of those little transitions are a bit rough (fad out)...one easy way to smooth it out is just tack something like a fairly long reverse cymbal sound (very low volume) at those 2 transitions...good listening anyway...keep on...Ed
It's DJ RYMZ...And I think it was a reversed crash i used in those transitions, the only prob was that it was too loud that why u felt that fading effect but However I'm working on the full Instrumental with longer a duration I'll do the necessary adjustment on that.
I would like this one no matter what genre you put it under...would even make a dandy sound track for the right pictures...This one kicks of my Saturday morning just right (yes...its Saturday night over your way...the world will end about 12 hours earlier over there)....Great stuff Chris...you must have salvaged your music gear...always good to hear a new one from you...I knew it would be good...Ed.
Hi Orlando...I downloaded your tack...dont really think it needs anything but I will see if I can put together a few nylon string guitar lines for you...will use your contact for info...Ed
There is just something about this one that draws you in...maybe the repetative key prog...but you`ve varied up the approach so that it keeps the ears perked...the far away kind of vocal really fits the whole vibe to a T..that reversed type sound is great....enjoyed this one MightyMemphis....a well done to you......Ed
Those dwarfs are absolutely nuts...my kind of people..they are having some kind of big party & they didn`t invite me....and they are playing that great wild catchy music that makes you want to dance along....Your creative mind is working ladyinred....big fun mix...enjoyed it.....Ed
Hello Ed.
lol! you are absolutely invited especially cause i know
you like my father have irish blood !
yep i loove fun music .
thank you for stopping by and dropping these kind words .
(ps:sorry for my latency as answering you ).
Elena
Funny thing...but music that many would find sad I just find to be beautiful and touching...like this one...the strings can really add that sense of sadness (cello in particular)...but the pads are a rich contrast..it a very minimal mix again Orlando (and I like that idea) so there are many options if you decide to add to it...some have already been mentioned...but I am of course biased...so perhaps a few sparcely played classical/nylon string guitar lines would fit without detracting from the other sounds...In any case I like it as it is now...It is really well done...with thoughtfulness and talent...Ed
Thx alot again Ed! Your comments are real uplift to me, more so because I realised you're such a wonderfully talented musician. Yes, Ed, you're right...I prefer simpler arrangements. They give me alot more space to breath, particulary in the sense of potential reconsidering and maybe adding something later on. I really appreciate your advice about additional guitars...but wait...you're so skilled guitar player! Would you do that for me when you have a bit of time? I would be really honoured...and ofcourse, on the other hand I wouldn't like to steal your valuable time...but yes, this is an invitation!:)So please let me know what you think!
Hi Farid....It is a pleasure to hear a different instrument performed with feeling and skill...I think emotions of the heart and talent always produce the finest music...The setar is new to western ears but I know it has been around a very long time...it`s sound is a bit like an instrument we call a dulcimer (used often in traditional north american acoustic music...country, bluegrass, etc)...It surprises me that this was recorded with a webcam microphone as it sounds nice and clear....Well done my friend...I am sure your lady will be happy with you...Ed
Hi Dear Master Ed
It's an honour for me to see someone like you sent me this good feedbacks, I want to present this instrument to the west side, Don\t know how to thank you dear Ed.
Oh my....our lady up and done the blues...Janis Joplin was one of a kind...and so is our janis71....Perhaps you know that blues is my home genre and comfort zone...so you know I love this one...wonderful expression/emotion in those vocals...very nice piano, bass & beats....Its all good Carole....well, I knew it would be before I hit play...but this is waaaay beyond good....outstanding young lady....definite fav of this ol blues guy......Ed
My dear Ed,
The music's not mine, it's an instrumental I found on the tube and yeah, it sounds really good .
Your words really make me shy, Ed, especially as you felt the "intention" I put in it, trying to sing it with my guts and everything Joplin has ever whispered to my soul .
I surely don't deserve your rhapsodic words but be sure they go straight to this little heart of mine .
Merci beaucoup, my dear friend ...
A big hug and kisses,
Take care
now this is creative thinking Larry,,,,starts out with a kind of medevil vibe & then swings into some chilled electro when the bass & synth kick in...nice uptempo move around 3:24...Has a nice uplifting vibe overall Larry....left me with a smile...thanks ...we could all use more of that...a big well done to you....Ed
well...here we go again...some of you guys keep proving that the genre still has creative places to go...the electronic genres aren`t on my regular listening list but I make a point of hitting play on them fairly often and have been coming up with some real pleasant surprises lately (like this one)...really like the intro in particular...this one is well done Saint7x.....Keep on...Ed
Great Feedback, I Really appreciate all the Kind responses, I'll keep on trying to be as creative as possible with the next few releases! Thanks Tumbleweed!
