on stone temple pilots cover by rockoff
Hope you are doing okay with your grief - this has a really nice indie feel to it - pavement were always my go to in this style - this sounds a little more out there but wild is usually cool hey

on What You Need Featuring Molarah by doofus
Hey Doofus - really lovely, for sure that sliding bass fits perfectly and is like the icing on the cake (as it were) on this track. : )

on not waving but drowning - rock version by Zootman
Another cool version ... cant remember apart from the different beat what else has changed but I love this one too : ) (will go have another listen to the first)
Zootman
Zootman replied 15th Dec 2021 - 4 years ago
Quick off the mark mate! Added guitars, new bass (was quite pleased with that), upped the tempo a fraction, changed vox processing and arrangement a little. Still needs a tweak here and there. Cheers for your support Ian :)

Glad you liked it! The arrangement's a bit weird but it works.

I'll check the Goats out for sure, sounds like a fun listen already! Thanks!

on What If I Was Gay by silvester49
I dont know this track - the lyric is heartfelt if a little long winded but the instrumentation is really lovely and supports the tone of the song really well - nice work : )

on Say It feat VERONICA by AtticElla
I love a collaboration and this is a gorgeous one - so smooth and wonderfully layered with such a dreamy deep pop / house sound. Really nice work : )
AtticElla
AtticElla replied 13th Dec 2021 - 4 years ago
Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was more pop than house so I just called it house. But it does indeed have a lot of pop feel to it.

doofus did such a great job with the piano parts, I just love the expanded dimension it imparts to the track. In my opinion, his pianos made the song.

Paz y salud.

on aporia by monkwee
Nice slacker indie feel to this one - some slightly flat notes on the guitar tuning - or maybe just bending the light strings - but it fits the style

I like it! : )

monkwee replied 12th Dec 2021 - 4 years ago
thank you for taking the time to listen! much appreciated and sorry for the flat-ness lol! cheers friend!

on Strawberry Fields Forever by BananaLu
Mixing up the genres BL - great sound, vocal performance and beat - this one doesnt (for me) have the immediate appeal of the other track of yours I just caught up with but I suspect it's a grower. Love your work.
BananaLu
BananaLu replied 19th Dec 2021 - 4 years ago
thank you pseudoble, i love your honest opinion to this track. I really got this monoton style in my head. I tried to capture the sound of lost hopes and post industrial working class feeling. i agree its nt catchy but just a mood.

Hey BL - Ive missed a few track i think - love this - warm, quirky and totally engaging. A celebratory hit to get everyone smiling and on the dance floor AND love the mix too, really nice sense of space between the instruments and clever stereo

on Full Circle by AtticElla
Hey Ella - beautiful warm sound and a nicely nuanced composition deep beats and gorgeous melodic phrases - very well done

Btw - thanks for the like on the soundcloud - I deleted that one as I made a less noisy mix and slowed the vox a tad, think it's a bit better but who the f knows - L plates on : )

Hey, yeah I asked you when I commented on your song before I looked at this comment so it crossed in the mail so to speak. =P Thank you so much for listening. Greatly appreciated pseudoble. =)

on Fruits of the Gods by sorath72
This has nice beat and some lovely melodic and orchestral elements woven into the fabric of synth 'white' noise - did wonder if the mix of 'noise' to other elements is quite right - but I rather like this : )

on Never Said by AtticElla
Hey there - lofi jazz feel to this one to my ears the first half is very nice and your little vox / phrase is really great - And Im not sure what it is but I feel the track really picks up another notch from about 148 on and hits it's straps in the last half. It's always nice to see the folk on LM experimenting and creating all sorts of varieties of coolness. Damn fine track!

AtticElla replied 22nd Nov 2021 - 4 years ago
Yep, just an experiment. I'm glad you like it. Thanks pseudoble! =D

on Sojourn by HeathAlexander
Nice work Heath - the melody lingers well after the track ends which is (if it's not just annoying) a sign that that you've tapped into something universal (umm ... bad pun on your profile pic ... which is also amazing btw) : )

on Not Waving But Drowning by Zootman
Nice work mate - I just got myself some new monitors and this sounds great on them - the drums and the bass especially- though all this is very nice (again your vocal is reminding me of The Chills) really strangling that guitar but it fits well for the track and the sound production is excellent
Zootman
Zootman replied 22nd Nov 2021 - 4 years ago
Cheers Ian, the bass was off an organ vst, I used it on death of a pacifist track too, thought it sounded really rich and warm. When you gonna break out your Hammond?!

Great dance track, with minimal and beautifully stylised instrumentation, fantastic percussion and beats and perfect sound production
And damn fine vox too (have to check this guy out some)
: )

Thanks a lot for your comment. I think Sam his vocals are great for house so couldnt make a halfhearted track. Glad you like it!
