Great track - very subtle instrumentation that allows the wonderfully sharp and snapping beat to drive this track and that beat along with a brilliant rap are so engaging. This one picks you up by the ears and carries you off with power and intensity (w)rapped in a story
First thought was rockabilly prog but I no sooner thought that and it changed, so its a bit of a dazzling chameleon this one bending and blending but holding its shape and our attention
I think I missed this one before - this is very cool, wonderfully quirky and complex and a joy to listen to and absolutely fantastic job on the sound production - quite a task getting so many disparate elements in sync but it is simply perfect in blend and balance. : )
Well it is a nice vox and a really lovely classic arrangement but Im clueless as to how to add excitement / zing - I go first to guitars or sax and either would fit well in such a classic arrangement. As you know there is wealth of really talented muso's here (and some accidental ones like me) - hopefully someone has the secret sauce but it is already up there. : )
Thanks pseudo, I like the sax idea. Unfortunately I have house guests at the moment who are going to politely object to my saxophone playing in the house so I'm going to have to wait until this weekend to try that out. Good idea!
What a joyful tune to welcome in the new year. I can imagine this being played loud in a park at one of our summer holiday festivals here. Nice work. : )
Hey Wayne - well this is close enough to the goats for me!
Your voice is just perfect on this one and lets not mention the guitar and cool lyrics to boot : )
Some nice orchestral textures and strong melodic themes in this - be nice to hear what a non synthesised (ie real) orchestra would sound like playing this - hint of the beatles melodies (among other things) in there to my ears
: )
Rich and evocative sound - very atmospheric - and the beats/ percussion on another level - obviously would work well as a longer track but also very enjoyable as it is : )
Gentle and melodic hip hop with a solid beat and nice sound production - I love the sound of the rap in French it's a powerful performance (too bad I dont understand it)
Very nice track - sweet and joyful and if it had a vox I could easly imagine this on the FM radio. And with perfect crystal clear and professional sound production too!
Beautiful track - nice melodic elements with a very warm sound with deep beats and great slow crashing cymbal used to very good effect. Nice sound production too : )
Gracias amigo IAN, me agrada que te haya gustado el tema, se trata de una melodía sencilla que he utilizado para un video en Youtube. Que tengas una buena noche compañero. Paz y salud.
Great track Chris - nice soundscapes and blend of elements love the spacey dub feel and the way different samples and melodies come in and as you say 'faux world music' for sure but it's really gorgeous - much better than my recent effort. That your new vst sax in there? - if so does sound pretty good. Lovely sound production too
Thanks Ian, relieved you thought it was ok! Yeah that's the freebie sax, good value for money lol. I used to play sax when I was at school an eternity ago, this is much easier.
Stinging bass and very lively pace grabs your attention and hold it - no time to get bored on this one (I think at 10 times the length no issue) - pretty nice little demo - look forward to hearing more
Hey there - I agree with Cru - the sound production is nice - Im wondering if you mean that the vocal sounds at times just a little out of sync with the melody and beat - perhaps at times. Id be inclined to experiment with a little cutting and shuffling the vox and or to play very slightly with the speed/ tempo of the vox and see what happens - Sweet track
Hey pseudoble , my concern was about the vocals drowning in mix at some points in the track , but when i took a break and gave it a listen again , seems to be alright.
i also noticed that the vocals are a bit out of sync but honestly i was a bit lazy and didn't think it would impact the listening experience that much.
thank you for the advice and your feedback , stay safe
Nice arrangement Doofus showcases the vocal performance really well and great sound production. I thought of the style council in parts but you kept it a little more on the pop friendly side : )
Beautiful collaboration - gorgeous - I just plugged in my analogue strings and played along around D minor - the track has enough space in the last minute for some more strings

I wanted to keep it simple and clean, to me the best songs are the simplest ones.
