Hey there - lofi jazz feel to this one to my ears the first half is very nice and your little vox / phrase is really great - And Im not sure what it is but I feel the track really picks up another notch from about 148 on and hits it's straps in the last half. It's always nice to see the folk on LM experimenting and creating all sorts of varieties of coolness. Damn fine track!
Nice work Heath - the melody lingers well after the track ends which is (if it's not just annoying) a sign that that you've tapped into something universal (umm ... bad pun on your profile pic ... which is also amazing btw) : )
Nice work mate - I just got myself some new monitors and this sounds great on them - the drums and the bass especially- though all this is very nice (again your vocal is reminding me of The Chills) really strangling that guitar but it fits well for the track and the sound production is excellent
Cheers Ian, the bass was off an organ vst, I used it on death of a pacifist track too, thought it sounded really rich and warm. When you gonna break out your Hammond?!
Great dance track, with minimal and beautifully stylised instrumentation, fantastic percussion and beats and perfect sound production
And damn fine vox too (have to check this guy out some)
: )
I see xstokes mentions steve reich it's where I went as this wove it's spell, youve got a great sound on that piano and everything else is beautifully clear and balanced too
Nice work
I honestly must have something wrong with my ears, because I listened to a bunch of different lofi songs and they vary in their degree of lofi "intensity"? But mine still sounds to me like it is in that general range. I've even heard songs that are of higher "quality" and still have that lofi flavor. It has to be a subjective aspect I'm sure, so I'm not even going to bother to change anything. ;)
But in any case, thank you for the listen and comment pseudoble. Really appreciate it. ;D
Thanks man honestly I really didn't want to add too much on top of the original track that was posted by clxrityyy. I think that one was pretty solid already. So I tried to just sprinkle some extra on top and then, because it was Friday night after working all week and I had a few adult beverages in me, I just kept jamming.
Very cool - used to really love Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream and even Ultravox - this reminds me a little of them but is actually more cool, a litte darker and more 'fresh' sounding
Great Track and wonderful sound production too : )
Hello pseudoble.
Sorry for my late reaction.
Nice to know that you like the track.
And cooler like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream and even Ultravox, is said very nicely :)
Many thanks for your kind words
Thank you for the kind comments I also like the volume to be pumped for this one but my neighbors do not agree I just crank up my headphones. Have a good one Peace out . Robbie
Nice work - builds slowly and with subtlety - slightly hypnotic I would be tempted to throw is some dribbles and growls with some synths because there is enough space there to get away with it (however that might ruin it too ... sometimes less really is more) : )
Guilty as charged about skipping the ear candy. I guess I get lazy. Leftover result of posting music in places like soundcloud where music goes into an internet blackhole and fizzles into nothingness making you not care anymore. Gotta get over that and flesh out the sound. Thanks for the suggestion pseudoble. I'll keep it in mind for future work.
absolutely gorgeous - tomorrow marks my first 6 months on Looperman I can only dream of reaching your level of proficiency - this is a lovely dreamy track with subtle layers of warmth and a great beat
