I can relate to this experience of a project morphing away from original concept. I am listening to this on crappy laptop internal speakers and it still sounds good. But I don't get any nuanced differential in bass frequencies on this laptop anyway. I suppose there is an ideal plugin to resolve your sub-bass dilemna but I could not tell you what it is. Excellent work and thoroughly enjoyed. Regards - Dan
Such kind comments definitely spur me on to want to take it further, and so I only say thank you very much for taking the time out to listen and comment, it's very much appreciated :)
the sounds are sweet, well mixed. the soloing is tasteful, interesting. the pace is patient, relaxed, allows the musical story to evolve smoothly. a nice track this morning for my recovery from the intensity yesterday of finishing up a track. Dan
I spent ages constantly tweaking the level of the drums. They don't change a great deal (which gives it a consistent vibe) but there are all sorts of variations in volume and stuff. Hence the very dynamic waveform (no tube of toothpaste for me).
It is a patient and relaxed pace and I love this type of shuffle blues groove. I could play guitar (or other instruments) over it all day. But it always seems to cry out for guitar so I added a fair bit here, with some Eastern melodies for additional flavour. I enjoyed doing the soloing and there's quite a lot of it for me as I'm not that much of a lead guitarist.
your use of chorus gives me an allusion to afterlife and things eternal. Your arrangement of sounds and clips is perfect for reflecting on our mortality, on the inevitability of death. Regards - Dan
Thank you brother Midisparks for your observations.

some beautiful chill elements. wow - things get a little darker at 1:20. Cool transition.
Generally, you might "thin out" some background sounds here and there to get a more transparent mix - just a thought. I hear a bit of crackle in the mix. Regards - Dan
congratulations on becoming a legal adult! (just try to always hold on to a bit of that illegal child!). Love the groove and feel in first part. the 'switch up' is a bit of a surprise. Interesting and well done but I could have held with the original feel. Fantastic work, brother.
at 2:10 (about) you drop it down to just rap and percussion groove and it is very effective (to me). Actually you do it later as well (maybe including bass though). Anyway, the whole track is well-balanced and a sweet listen. congrats on your work. Dan
your kick drum is solid and fits perfectly in your mix. that is still a big deal for me to get right. i like the way it ends with just the voice. that's a nice touch. sweet track! congrats!
Thank you for taking a listen and leaving your comment my friend! The statement; "You do a great job of sustaning the musical line from start to finish" made me wonder what you meant. I suppose I just found it difficult to figure out. I don't know why. I'm happy that you enjoyed listening! Thank you for the fave as well!
all the elements are sounding great together. you did an amazing job incorporating the pella. The vocal sounds like it was recorded for your song. nice track. regards Dan
This is a fantastic fusion of electronic sounds with the traditional orchestral sounds. You really got an epic feel going in this one. Great work technically and musically. regards.
sweet track. great start to my wednesday morning. someone probably mentioned - but usually I find that the track did update - just need to clear the history from the browser. As far as creative blocks go - I try not to think about what people might like (at least not initially) but rather what I am interested in creating at the moment. Later in the process I try to have the audience in mind because after all, music should move others, entertain. Peace.
Thanks midi! I was actually able to overcome the creative issues, thanks to everyone's great advice. The track eventually did update, just took an entire day to do so, which I'm still confused why it did so. The advice you gave is great, I totally agree. If you try to make music to please others, you'll never come up with anything good, as everyone taste and different and its impossible to please others.
Thanks for the amazing tips and for always stopping, much appreciated! Take care.
O thank you Dan. I am glad you like it. I wish see all people which are on this site, how they can dance for one of my tracks :D Thanx for your time.
Sorry for my English.
you handle some pretty aggressive sounds very well. those can be tough to tame in a mix. you seem to understand very well the industrial color and style. the track creates a steamy brooding, sometimes foreboding mood. really nice work.
