i love when there is a male and female voice in a track. it immediately creates a dramatic aspect - a narrative. you create a beautiful rich texture with your sounds. nice work!
Thanks for your feedback Spark! I agree that male and female vocals could potentially enlarge each others presence. I have done that once before only however, since it can be quite difficult to find a good match. On the other track I combined Patricia Edwards and RarCharm. Hope to do some more in the near future.
I like the cello and drums opening. interesting contrast. it is great how you bring in the synths later in the track and keep building. i like your writing a lot. i think there are still opportunities to refine the mix and clarify your different colors. great work. look forward to hearing more. Regards - Dan
you started off with a very nice samba or bossa nova kind of dance feel - piano and drums. then you switched gears with more of an electro sound. I guess you are fusing a few different genres together so maybe "fusion"?? interesting sounds and ideas. regards - Dan
AMAZING MIX! the drums are crystal clear and fit very well inside your orchestra. I'm enjoying that oboe solo now, and now the flute. I loved this track and your work.
Hi!
Thanks for your post. It helps me a lot.
I don't know where I can turn down the sound of percussions but it is very difficult for me because I use a keyboard; so, I cannot do this as you can do on any other hardware.
I was feeling this. I understand it is a foundation. it is well mixed as such - sounds good achieves a suspenseful mood. Where do you want to go with it? Are you looking for melodic material over your foundation?
But, you can note some mistakes in the tempo, I didn't use a metronome to play it:). The end is maybe too strange for the rest of piece. I wanted to play something else to do something original and avoid some boredom.
I like how the strings emerge toward the outset. I like how you take everything down except your voice towards the end. beautiful song, voice. super work. congrats!
that is a great effect at the end - the sustained voice against those hard synth hits. very effective. all the sounds blend into something very rich and exotic. it was quite a ride. def will listen to this again. Dan
you have a good control over voice and a nice tone. for my taste vocal could be a bit more in front of mix. I like all the sounds you choose. create a neat atmosphere in this song. nice work!
lots of feeling in your track. I always imagined some dramatic moment of resolution or climax in a movie, sustained for a while by the music. nice work.
the vocal harmonizing sounds great and mix is very slick! it is always fun to hear a new style - now I have heard South African pop style! very cool. glad to make the acquaintance of your music! best wishes! Dan
it is a very rich arrangement in the second section. reminds me a little of carmina burana. i think with a little work on the EQ you won't need to "hard limit" quite so much and the sounds will be sweeter. nice work. keep going! Dan
i think you a nice beat going here. i love the little bit before the melody at 2:40. I think a little work on EQ will bring out all of your cool sounds more. nice work. keep going!
You get an amazing amount of sound out of a mix. can only echo the comments of others that it is a thoroughly professional and enjoyable mix and deserves a spot in the clubs I'm sure. Best of luck with taking your work as far as you can!
beautiful mix and very musical. that is so neat when the space command clip comes in. all the vocals clips sound cool and sit so sweet in the mix. big inspirations. keep going!
I actually think, as far as mixing goes, that all the vocals sit really nicely on top of the track. great father/daughter team! congrats and keep going!
whatever your concerns I was not distracted by mixing issues at all. your use of vocal clips is brilliant. you have a great sense of humor in your music. i like the contrast between the upbeat music and all the angry cursing! nice work.
Thanks for taking the time to listen.
I'm always after feed back on my mixes simply because I don't own a high quality set of head phones or speakers.
So I somewhat rely on the feed back you kind people give.
