Soul food definitely. I've been around long enough here to have heard a number of Patricia's vocal tracks and they're always outstanding.

This was loud compared to glennwhites jazz piece!! Everyone's said it already, great vocal great track. Don't know about Tarantino, I get more Nina Simone.

on Feel The Cool Burn by glennwhite6504
Pretty funny coming to this after Dennels jungle vibe, but variety is the spice of life and I like variety in music. I think I need to learn from you, as Micky said, you have such a relaxed approach and this just sooths the soul. Thanks, Zoot.

Hello Zootman, thank you my friend for listening and commenting....its so much better at times to just take it slow if the moments dictate....relaxing is vital on occasion and it definitely sooths the soul.

on GHOST IN A SHELL by BananaLu
Yo, great to hear your unique style again. This is like post-blues somehow, more interesting. I like the plodding repetitiveness, it's quite mesmerizing. And your vox are wicked as always. All the best from Down Under.

Going by the description I thought this was going to be something weird and wild. Instead it was....quite beautiful and gentle. I think we need more of both those things.

Far out man, I really like a lot of your stuff. This has a very cool vibe and those guitars are lovely touch. All the best, Chris.

Hi Chris, good to hear.
My nephew based his work on "Transformer 1" as you did, the only difference is that he worked on a copy of the Reaper project and used real guitars.

on Transformer - With TheFrenz by Pnnywze
Cool, yeah I heard from your bro your guitar got stolen or something. As for the Transformer, I don't think mine's that exciting unfortunately, but it's kind of liberating to just work on something I don't feel a big investment in. Posted it anyway hey ho.
Pnnywze
Pnnywze replied 5th Mar 2025 - 9 months ago
Yeah, my blue acoustic I had got stolen, it was a gift from my mom. Lately I've got a friend who has been kind enough to allow me to use some of his equipment to compose some stuff. Bah, I guarantee u that your song is much more interesting than u might think. These kinds of collaborations are fun as hell to do, and rewarding, too. I'll check it out asap. I'll be uploading another collab in a similar vein, this time with someone I've wanted to work with for a long time. Stay tuned.

Hey Aaron, freaking cool. Lots of movement and variation in this and super atmospheric and vibey. Did u play the guitars? I'm working on a transformer track too right now so watch out lol.

Pnnywze replied 3rd Mar 2025 - 9 months ago
Hey brother, thanks for checking it out. The Frenz said u were working on something too, so I've been on the lookout. Yeah I'm doing all guitar compositions on my songs now, it's been like that for the last 15-20 songs I've done. Ive always been able to do that because my music roots come from guitar, I just didn't have the means until recently

The take -away society perceives such work as self -released. The kindness of a thank you is obviously too much for many. At best it is still asked: is that really your song and for free ? Thank you for your clear words. Happy you like it.

on VT Nights X KayOS - Dreamscape by Kayos2
Different... Trippy. I liked it. And yes, a great track from Darren to which you added something special. I like spoken word stuff. I did a similar waking dream type narrative on one of pseudobles tracks ages ago which i had been thinking of revisiting, you may have inspired me to do so. Cheers Chris.

Howzit? Yoy know I like your stuff, you have a distinctive and unique style and delivery, plus your lyrics often resonate.

I know what you mean with going back and reworking stuff. I've been going back to some old tracks that I think are worthwhile or mean something to me too, remixing and remastering... It's a catch 22, rather be working on something new but hearing what can be better with a bit more know how. Anyhow, have a good day man and keep at it. Zoot.

on Refrain - The Monzder Squadd by TheMonzderSquadd
Hard out bro. Freaking epic in scope, great vocals. Linkin Park section is feral and visceral. This pretty much flew by, great trip.

Thanks alot bro! we have really been having a blast the last few months - and we also learned that just letting each song become what it wants to become instead of trying to force it to be what We want it to be leads to the best music we can possibly bring overall. Im glad to hear that sense of something epic shines thru, and I kno my brother will be happy too. This was also the most vocals/verses Ive done for a song so far, I feel so proud of my writing and how much ive learned. thanks for listening man!

on On The Train by BaoBou
Much better listen this time. I could hear your lovely melodic, subtle and slightly yearning guitar licks. You really are a very good lyricist to boot.

I was thinking again about train songs. The other one that comes to mind and is a fav is Dylan's Takes a lot to laugh, takes a train to cry. Have a good one BB

on On The Train by BaoBou
Top song writing again and vocals so good and clear in the mix. Suits the mood I always get sitting in a train tho the other train song association that comes to my mind is The Who's 5:15 off quadrophenia but that's a different kettle of fish. By the by, your writing reminds me of The Humps here in looperman but he hasn't been around for a while unfortunately.

Getting compared to the Who can't be a bad thing ;) I'll listen to that one though, I imagine it's quite different!

on Iam Taking Time Off To Rethink Some Stuff by Verdiqo
This isn't a hollow comment. I mean it when I say I think this is a beautiful song melodically. And I'll miss your honest and often sharp critique and insights. Remember, nothing changes and nothing stays the same. Hopefully we'll still hear from you occasionally.

I think there's some great ideas in there. To me it needs the bass a little more up front to anchor it or else periods with a more steady drum beat. Plus I felt like I was waiting for the drop after the intro that didn't quite come. But there's some beautiful dynamics in there and I like the track. I'll be interested to see how it devellops. Whew I don't generally critique to that level, I must like the track!

Z I really dig your insight and input, it really gets my mind to think more about dynamics and the mix, thank you so much!

on VT Nights x KayOS - Red Red Roses by Kayos2
You piqued my interest with the owl impersonations. Ah yes just heard it lol. Very cool vocal processing and love the lyrics. True story?
Kayos2
Kayos2 replied 20th Jan 2025 - 11 months ago
I watched 4 youtube vids to get the owl right - first squeaky one is female and the deeper one is the male. Not actually a true story, I'm afraid. When I wrote the lyrics, I wanted the Spirit Lady to be very much in her own frame, so she died alone but I didn't want her to die by a disorder or disease - Oli said let it be lightning! Kerching, then the story was complete - Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated - Kay
