Good evening, my friend. If this is one of your first attempts at the demanding world of jazz, I cant even imagine what well be hearing from you in a little while. This is truly excellent work it has a fluent jazz feel with a subtle nu jazz character. Everything is placed perfectly. Bravo! Chris - LINEAR FADE Band

It sounds like you've been playing jazz your whole life. I think jazz is one of the most difficult genre to compose in, and this piece seems perfect to me. Congratulations on the composition.

Thanks for that amazing comment!! Jazz is definitely something that takes time to learn but as they say practice makes perfect. It took many years of doodling around in it to get to this point and we still have a long way to go.

Fun track. Really well constructed in terms of its overall shape. The way it started I thought it was going to be pretty smooth and laid back, but then it got funky. Well done. Cheers Zoot.

Hi Modnex, I like this a lot. What came to me was, I would have liked to have heard the sax push into a little "distortion" at around the 1 min mark (or just louder?- as to emphasize it more on the tail end).
Modnex
Modnex replied 10th Mar 2026 - 7 months ago
Thanks, Paper! That's a good idea. When I get time maybe ill experiment with it. Thanks for the tips.

Modnex! Come on with it! What a refreshing listen. You are working with a number of elements from a wide span of time. This is EXCELLENT. That prominent sax and lo fi ish piano is riding that jazz wave.

So first attempt? Yeah right lol!
Very well done. Take a bow and give me another serving please!

Haha, another serving coming right up!!! Thanks, King!!! And you're right! Me and a couple of my friends always used to attempt to mess around with jazz but this was our real first attempt at actually doing a song. All the positive feedback we have been receiving on this one will definitely help push us to keep doing it. Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it!

Audition
Description : A haunting acoustic journey through loneliness, isolation and the quiet desperation of wanting to be seen and understood. This is about feeling invisible in a world full of people, struggling with identity and confronting the painful contradictions between longing for connection and choosing solitude.

Description : I wrote this song nearly twenty years ago, and recently I had it enhanced by AI. The outcome was re-imported into a project where the original and the "new" version were blended to create a cool pop jazz track with hints from the 60's. I really hope you will like it.
