I agree with everyone, this has all those elements that take you back and Wow,those drums are tight and on the money.
Yes my music collection is full of disco,I love it!
Thanks for taking the time to listen and review - much appreciated. Drums are very much a passion of mine (I played for years back in the day) so spend a lot of time trying to get a live feel and make it sound like it's a human being playing them. Thank you for the great feedback.
Hope the track now sits well with your disco collection.
Wonderful track here.
Great intro and when the instruments come in,Wow...breathtaking.
The song floats with the moving separation of tracks that make this an experience as much as a great song, which is rare to me.
The 12string is sweet and your bass has a great tone, the notes are very clear in the mix.
That change at 2:08 made me smile with appreciation that you made those chord choices, refreshing and stay's in your theme but makes you think again, question and definitely conclude that this is a very special song worth a lot more than one four minute listen so thanks for the download.
Oh yes,the guitar picking at and on the change was perfect.
I wish you could see how many plays I gave this:)
Allen
Hey Al..thanks for the kind words mate! much appreciated...the 12 string is a sweet little axe,it's about half the size of a normal dreadnought and is a dream to play..I've got two fingers going at the moment in the picking department...man how dudes get the others working is beyond me..though I'll try! lol...thanks again for the listen!..cheers Dave :)
Hey Gabe!
I love this track.I agree with Twanna,it has an epic feel to it.
The guitar loops fit very well and your fx are very good as are those double bass drums.I listened to this several times last night and sent you a message through your contact page.
No guitar?? Say it aint so Rei...for the love of god man!!!
Just kidding;)
I like the funky feel...the bass sets the pace and those drum hits are consistent with the Funkness.I love the subtle sounds that cover the background with the synth and of course the voice is perfect.
Yea man,the beat is infectious...I loved the short pause with the kick pounding...what a great kick sound,I love it.
The vocals are great and I like this track just the way you have it.
Hello Richie!
What a wonderful song and production.
You captured a feel that serves the vocals so well.
This song is hard to review cause everything is just right on the money and it's all been said.
Fantastic...and I loved that ending!
Well done.

Thank you so much for your review. It's much appreciated. The vocals have to take centre stage - MusicIzMee4ever is a special talent and it's a pleasure collaborating with such calibre. I try my very best to make the singing shine. It's so pleasing to have such positive feedback.
I agree with the other reviewers, this is straight ahead rhythm driven Rock...and now the lead comes in just right.
Hey...and A special applause that it was for your wife cause this is a cool song, and one for my wife would have to sound like Richard Marx,Rod Stewart or Jon Bon Jovi :)
Wow,how cool is this!!....Awesome my friend.
I wasn't sure until the guitar came in then I had a big smile on my face.
I am a Dance/Trance "kinda"...almost, fan and also play guitar so this was such a good listen for me.
I like this song very much my friend.
I don't think you should change anything,it reminds me of so many flavors that it's hard to pick one...and that's a good thing.
I will admit that this is a multiple listen song for me and I hear 60's rock and 70's punk rock here as well, and your guitar has a Billy Idol feel which I love.
I was never into punk at all but appreciate the art and my definition of the genre is probably not right... but I was around then,I'm 48 so this takes me back even though younger listeners may know of current artists with this sound.
Again,I like it and feel like you don't need to change a thing, well done!
This track has all the right elements in all the right places, which I come to expect from you my friend. It's like sequels to a movie and they keep getting better.
Your style is very unique and I love that I can recognize your sound and that's not a bad thing...don't we all recognize our heroes?:)
The change in the song was at the right time and I do love that jazzy funk combo that you do so well as when you do a rock song..you "get it" Rei!
rerum natura is my favorite track from this site...hands down rock with a twist of funk at its finest!
Your latest track is original, unique and wonderfully familiar.
Key Randy,
I love songs that I "get" right away,if you know what I mean and no offense to my experimental brothers and to all of us that do.
You stated from the beginning this was a classic sound and you nailed it with such ease that once again shows your experience and dedication to being true to your song.
I heard a little Frank Marino...which trails back to Hendrix as well as Trower on the first lead sound you used, even Pat Travers.I tell you that because I love it myself when someone hears my tracks and describes another guitarist that I may not have been channeling...lol,matter of fact,I sometimes get comparisons to artists I've never heard of and then look them up!
You accomplished what you set out to do and you did it very well!
Hello Elaine.
You really seem to be re-inventing yourself with this song, and I think you're adding to the style you've already created and it shows your ability to expand on what you already do best..funk,jazz and hip hop.
This is such a great listen...the blend reminds me of something,I can't name it but it may be just what you've done...I know, silly coming from the "Almost 50" rock guitar guy but this gets better after every listen.
Really good stuff here Elaine..very good,I'm proud of you!
Thanks Allen,
I'm still making my funky stuff and I expect I will for as long as I've got breath in my body, but I do like to make all kinds of music.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. They mean a lot. :)
Elaine
Everything is right on Randy.
I would say that I expect this from you....but this is even better and you are an inspiration.
I have played country and it ain't always easy but you make it sound so...and that's what's great!
The acoustic/electric mix is a perfect example that you definitely
know what you're doing, but I already knew that;)
Thanks for listening and reviewing my country track. I will be uploading a slow rock track today if your interested.
Here is something I wrote another reviewer that might make sense to you as well as far as getting a full sound like I try to to.
"A lot of putting country music together is getting a good drum/rhythm track down, and deciding what instruments to put with it your ideas. In some of the country songs, an electric Baritone guitar is used. Meaning a guitar tuned lower than normal."
"Then you can also add an acoustic rhytmn guitar along with another higher tuned acoustic guitar, and...also an electric rhytmn guitar....then the Lead guitar or other lead instrument. This way you get a full sounding backing track, and it all sounds good. (To me anyways)"
So this is some of what I do, plus the usual effects such as reverb and others as needed.
This is great P!My prayer for you is that one day I can say I knew you when. You deserve so much and I'm proud to have been a small part of your journey...and to call you my friend.
