Very Good! You have quite a talent for this and I complement you.
Every time I do covers...and I have played them for years,I end up sounding like me or guitarists I didn't mean to sound like :)
I don't know how you both do this stuff but it sure sounds good!
This site has exposed me to so much more than I would've sought out myself and I have learned a lot from it.
Hey Allen! I feel ya man. I couldn't agree more. Since I've joined this site I have learned so much and progressed in my music endeavors. Thanks 4 stopping by man! Gotta come hear your new works!
Hello Sam!I have to agree with Eshar, the track sounds so good as is and stay's focused on your lyrics and voice.
The guitar fits so well...I wouldn't "change" a thing!
Nice to hear you back rockin' Randall!
This is the kinda stuff I first heard from you that got me fired up about this site and the possibilities of home recording. You set the
standard for me and you continue to inspire with this track!
Hello there Allen,
Glad to hear I can still help fire you up some. :)
I will make more tunes in the coming months and I'll still do a variety of rock, country and Blues.
So I hope anything I do will help inspire you and others to do the best you can, and still have fun.
That means a lot coming from you. I would be putting more guitar oriented stuff up, but I'm still having latency issues and will probably need a usb souncard to get back on track..
thanks again, The Goose.
Man JKingz,...Wow..The best thing I could say to you is that you inspire me!This is way beyond a lot I've heard acoustically on this site, matter of fact,I'm gonna do another acoustic song myself soon and I'm gonna dedicate the inspiration to you in the description.
I live for this kind of acoustic push, not for any other reason than it's just that good and you did a very, very good job!
We recently had a thread about inspiration,I wish I had heard this before cause' your name would've been in there!
I agree that the vocals blend so well with the somber mood and the emotion of the song. It's so great when the lyrics&music together really do reflect the mood intended,it shows your own intent at being the really great artist you are.
Wow Becca, this is great! You and Uncle Funk really have it together on this, very impressive and you have put emotion into this style that I usually don't hear sometimes.Yea,I'm old but I can still hear it...without an aid,I just turn it up louder :)
Great Steinaa! You know how to create the atmosphere for this style of metal.Your music always reminds me of a landscape, hard to pin it down and you can't find it on a map...it's truly your sound and that's so impressive.
Great drums and the bass rocks. The part at 1:37 with the guitar changes are the things that bring emotion to your songs and you know that can be lost in metal at times but you're no novice and certainly emotional about your music...it shines my friend, and very brightly!
Hey Allen.
Always a pleasure to read your reviews. I found the bass abit too high in the mix after some listening, but I decided to leave it with that. And I'm a novice at bass-playing, AND mixing the bass.. Going without a plectrum and its a challenge for me timing-wise. (It just seems so odd to play without a plectrum..!) Although it doesnt always show in my songs, I'm a major fan of acoustic rock-pieces, and therefore I try to incorporate small pieces into my music at times. Anyway, I really appreciate you leaving a comment on this one. In my humble opinion, you're one of the best guitarists on the site. Thanks again for your kind words, and keep those sweet riffs of your coming.
I love house beats SP,I have tried to get a beat together like this to blend with rock guitars, not easy.
This is very good and your mix with the vocals are consistent with the quality tracks you produce.
Hi mate thanks for review, I love a bit of metal as well but I also love the sound of a nice Jazz guitar over a laid back house track!! Will be in touch mate when i have a suitable track if thats ok!!??
Wow,Great Jking, everything about this is full of emotion and I can feel it,which is what we all want to achieve and you have done just that!
Excellent!
I've always used music to express emotions. Its been with me through all sorts giving me strength. thank you for reviewing me, i too love the stuff your doing and have downloaded some of your tracks :D
Very nice Yesh...I can hear a lot of rock guitar that would fit ,but I can hear it in everything!
I'm impressed with your phrasing of all these elements...
Very good!
I think you need to send it to me,
You don't really have to..it would be a different song, cause I would rock it up,but you could have more than one version :)
I love your use of delay and the stereo guitars, you and I both know it doesn't get the credit it deserves sometimes.Stereo fx and guitars create an environment that transports you to another musical world!
I Love it,as I do all your tracks..it just takes a while to review them all :)
I am proud to work with you. It was one of the best experiences making music that I've had. And I know that this not be our "last bullet. "
But listen to the song, man, that guitar is wonderful. Thank you for saying yes.
Thx so much Allen V, u r more than welcome to throw some of ur lovely guitar skillz on this and vocals if ya want. Just email me and I will send this to ya. becca.calif69@gmail.com
Great guitars, the tone is perfect for this.I like how you brought them in and out at times, the dynamic worked well and your vocals hit the mark...I love it!
Thanks AllenV.. The guitars were from rei4real and another fellow of this site. I can do alot with that guitar sound.. Things naturally come together with it.
Hello eklectichouse..I got your name wrong the first time,I apologize!
I do like your notes at the beginning and the music that followed. The beat is one i'm always looking for.
I think you did a great job and a good mix of different elements that make it original.
Well done!
Hey Slap!
Yes my friend you have layered in everything nicely.
I always blame my background and ears for hearing rock flavors in a track and this appeals to that and the genres you mentioned.
I have to give special credit to Alexander,I did love the video you posted of him and Jean Toussaint, great stuff for your son and anyone to be a part of and he proved himself A fine performer.
You have a great sense of the importance of a great stereo mix,I think it's been overlooked at times but it makes so,so much of a difference when you get those layers spread out and blended in the way you have here...I think it can make or break a production and you made it happen, though I'm not surprised, you are a true pro and I know you have a firm grasp on how the song should sound!
Well done Steve,
I hope to work with you again in this new year.My reviews say that sax and guitar work pretty good together :)
Hi Allen, thanks for dropping by and lending me your trained ears. I'm just about to post a complete remix of this track due to the comments left so far. I have digested what's been said ( and why ) and also changed the arrangement slightly too. I'm glad your enjoying my mixing attempts, I always feel as though mine are lacking a certain sparkle which I hear in other productions posted on the Loop.
I will return the favour and review some of your superior productions shortly.
Great stuff Mr Maiden, your textures are what I've come to expect from you, layers of musical emotion..It takes a lot to consistently pull that off. Those vocal strings that descend at the end are both disturbing and fantastic.
I Love it.
Hey Allen,How are you?thank you big for the nice review and added a fav, I really do apperacate the positive responce, When these dark monents turn into music, you never know how others are going preceive it! but thank you big again!
