Ok, a few things. It does often seem a little disharmonic, and seems a little awkward in a lot of paces. The vocal clips a lot, but I don't know if that's the way you've mixed the track or the way the original vocals were recorded. The drums sound pretty cool though. The drop down, ambient-ish sounded awesome, and the underlying bass was pretty good.
The ending is probably the best part of the track, the dis-harmonic synths and slowed down guitar was a really good, creative way to end the track.
Nice, glad to see that people still use my vocals, it fits really well in this one though. Really unexpected twist though, even when I expected it to drop it still managed to catch me off guard.
Really awesome dark feel to it, I thought it was awesome!
Really nice eastern feel, nice deep kick and Latin percussion too. the organ was a pretty cool feature. I don't really know what reggaeton is so I can't really tell you if you're doing the right thing for the genre, but it still sounds pretty cool. The whole thing has a pretty positive feeling to it, which is nice to hear.
Really nice drum and guitar intro. The rain sound effects are a little loud at the start. The vocals are fantastic, really hypnotizing feel to it, and it makes it really nice to listen to. Why this only has one review is beyond me, this is a really good composition.
sup ste! Dude I'm guessing you dig the chicks voice in this one, amirite? you dog! lol just playing mate, thanks for checking this one out and plugging my tracks to your friends. Means alot, I'll buy you a drink in a few years! Mean it!
Nice fusion of classical music and modern stuff here. The drums sound quite good, but the changing drum sounds are a bit distracting. I think it would be better if you stuck with one drum sound and changed the arrangement of it rather than changing the whole sound. Other than that though, it sounds pretty good, maybe just add in a more noticeable bass just to move it along a bit more.
Hehe yeah it's been a while since I uploaded anything fresh here. I thought this should about do the trick, and I'm looking at the favs and thinking yeah, it did!
Thanks alot man, it's pretty simple really, just lots of pads, lots of synth one hits, a cool bassline and a brilliant personality hah!
Thanks for the words and the fav mate, means alot. You'll have the mp3 by now, hope you make it viral!
Figured I'd give this a review as no-one else has yet.
Nice sounding half tempo drums, great bunch of bass drops, and a nice vocal sample there in the beginning. The pad sounded pretty good, but I think I needed a lower attack, as some of the chords were only heard very briefly.
I think you miscatagorised this track though, I think it sounds more like a dubstep track than a drum and bass one. Regardless of that, I can tell you've put a fair bit of work into this one, and it sounds great if you ask me.
Definatly awesome. Fantastic sounding live playing, even 13 years ago when I was just learning how to get a basic grasp of the English language, you were still making some really amazing sounding music!
I had 2 90 minute and 1 60 minute cassettes of the Anak Pisang project, and turned it into 2 CDs when I finally digitalized the stuff. Pulling it up and listening to it recently was a real pleasant surprise, as it still sounds "fresh" somehow. Inspired and inspiring sessions. Glad to know it works for "younger" listeners, too - a good sign to be sure! Regards.
I just thought I'd check up on your profile, seeing as I haven't done so in a while, nice to see a new track from you. Definate fusion of styles here, really mixing dubstep, ambient, trance, and glitch together fantastically. Shame to hear your not doing music anymore, but I'm just glad to see something up here.
The drums in this are fantastic though. Definatly sounds like they took you a while to do.
Really nice synthwork here. Nice sounding vocals from effluence too. Its also like the track is dark, yet uplifting at the same time in parts, which seems to be a feeling I'm finding a lot recently on this site, which is a really awesome, but strange, emotion.
I really do appreciate your words, Ste! Not at least I like the things you do. And yes, it is too short, of course it is... I have 2 be honest: I spent a good time with editing this track and in the end there is a 2-minute-shot. I'm working on it, especially on endurence... =) Have a good beer or something and keep on doing such great tunes, Ste!
The intro is pretty awesome. Nice amount of bass. Cool sounding pella. Nice ride melody too. The bass drop is a little subtle, like it is in my track. What we both need to do is make a clearer buildup before introducing the drop, I think. As well as that, I think you need to have more fun with the LFO rather than keeping it on one tempo.
Glitch is a genre that is rarely seen on this site due to the lacking amount of people who produce it, so when I saw this its like I had to click it. I'm glad to say that I wasn't at all dissapointed with this track. The slow beeping noises over the top of the wind effects, bass drops and other FX were fantastic. The whole atmosphere is incredibly dark. Its not the sort of thing you want to listen to by yourself in a dark room, because you will be scared. The pads midway though are quite nice though, and sort of bring a peacefulness to the darkness that the track engulfs the listener in. The vocal(?) sample in the middle is pretty awesome as well, and the tinkling bell noises are insanely relaxing, but it always feels like theres something not quite right, an uneasy feeling amongst the happier noises.
This is quite an incredible piece of music, able to invoke contrasting and conflicting emotions into the listeners mind.
Thanks for the great review, Stephen. I was initially gonna put this track under "Ambient", but then I thought people looking for a normal ambient track (you know, something you can just close your eyes and relax to) won't exactly enjoy this. I'm glad the "glitch" part appealed to you.
This initially was mainly a peaceful ambient song with the glitchy percussive bits and dissonance in the background intact, and the initial "dark" part was just four bars, but then I decided to develop the eerie side of it and that was probably for the best.
Anyway, thanks once again for the listen and the review.
The orchestral section in this one is even more amazing! The piano feels a little forced with the glitch effects on it, and I think it could work better if glitches "mix" knob was down a little more. The orchestral sounds blend really well with the wobble bass and drums though, and it sounds like it would fit perfectly in a zombie movie or game. Really nicely done Blume!
Yup Becca knows her melodies. You know I had to do something with that piano. I couldn't just keep it normal...lol...I'll check the glitch knob and try to level it out more. Really this could be in a movie or game? That's awesome!!! Thanks 4 fav'n it too man!!!
I really like the hip hop influences in the start, nice sounding vocal sample, some really badass wobbles in there too. The different sections really held my attention, and there were some really interesting things thrown in there.
I really enjoyed this track blume, I'm gonna go check out the other collab you did with becca now!
Tahnks Ste:) I appreciate the sweet review man! I'm glad you enjoyed this one and that we kept your attention through out the track. Becca's the melody queen all I did was back up her melody with my drums and threw some fx into the mix...
Thanks again man!!!
Figured I'd take a listen to this track seeing as I haven't heard anything from you for a while.
The intro reminds me of ghosts and stuff by deadmau5, the sound is quite similar and it sounds quite nice. The drums are well matched with the synths, but feel out of place with the vocals. If I were you, I'd remove the vocals and make it an original track rather than a remix, as I can see it working better as a danceable instrumental.
I really liked the melodies though. Just remove Kate's vocals and if you ask me you'll instantly have a much better track.
Well this is a really nice one here 'livid. Fantastic guitar playing at the start, loved the backwards section, I like the fact that you only used four tracks. Really well played and put together, sounds like you put a LOT of time and effort into this one!
hehe, ironically nope. .Probably spent 4 minutes in total. I mean chordally I had rehearsed this one to death, especially with friends and stuff, but when it came to the guitar stuff, it was kinda like.. "Oh okay, we got the chords, lets solo"
and back then I used to play guitar like 4-10 hours a day, so it was no thing. Just having fun!
I like it too.. I need to find a balance between this old stuff and my capabilities now.
Figured I'd take a listen after you took a listen to two of mine. The vocal samples were pretty awesome. The drums were top quality, the background synths are pretty quiet though, but I think its better with them in the background. I think some more vocals are needed in places, but other than that its a really good track, and I can't spot anything to improve upon!
Sounds pretty nice. Would be better suited under the dance or techno catagory. The synths and hard kicks at the start sound pretty nice though. The kick melody is a little awkward to listen to though, I suggest putting 12 kicks down in a regular 4 step pattern, then another 4 at a different pitch.
I like the sound of this Lena, kinda reminds me of one of a Eurovision entry.. not too sure which one though. The instrumentation and melodies are really nicely put together. The drums sound ok, but I think a more natural sounding drumkit would suit it better than the electronic sounds. Amazing vocals as always, I really enjoyed this track!
Thanks for the review, sorry for the late reply. mh... 'a Eurovision entry'... well the sound is somewhat retro... I was aiming a little for the early 90's. Maybe it's time to dry another drum sound. I keep that in my lazy mind ;)
cu :)

Sounds like a nice remix, but watch your copyright... I can tell you used the original song under this because of the girls vocal sample. I suggest you remove it before the admin/mods notice it.
I'll check out your other stuff though because you sound like a good producer, but yeah, I'd remove this track so that you don't get banned.
Nice sounding house,trance-ish intro. The wobbles: even though if they were loops, were very well put together. I think the drums could sound a little better without the over-used open hat, and if you could make your own wobbles next time it might sound a little more natural (seeing as the different loops did sound like they didn't quite flow together too well in parts).
Other than that though you did a pretty good job with this track!
Loved the intro. Definatly one of the creepiest ones I've heard on this site so far. The drums were fantastic. I thought the bass was really awesome too. The higher synth sounded good, but it felt a little overpowering at parts. But the whole dark feel to this track was great.
Nice sounding synthwork at the start. The downward sweeps were awesome. Nice chord synth too. The vocoded vocals sounded great, I relaly liked those. The drop was fantastic. Would have had me dancing around my room doing the robot if it wasn't for the fact I had my headphones.
This is a really high quality house track, regardless of your age you clearly know how to use FL!
The effects at the start were great. Some nice panning on it. The digeridoo like sound worked really well with the deep bass and agressive drums. The buildup was fantastic, the bass drop was awesome. The bells were creepily awesome, and the dark feel to the track is fantastic.
