Thanks!! First of all, yes, I played all instruments live: drums in the studio, guitar and bass direct input, keys through a midi keyboard, vocals in the studio again. No samples except my own :)

The EQ is a good one. I'll check that; there's no brick wall, but both bass and kick drum do have some EQ to filter out noise.

It's cool you still remember my first steps on the path of music :) I think I made many steps since then, not in the least through the help of Loopermen and women who gave me loads of good tips! Thanks again :)

I stopped playing out live more than 15 years ago. Playing in a band, going to see bands and band practice hones your ears to hear music a certain way. With me it's that live sound. So it's how I make my music sound.

Plus I don't try to make everything perfectly in time or perfectly played, my songs contain all it's imperfections, my lack of skill on the instruments, me breathing, my chair squeaking, the A/C turning on...lol. Hope those pass as audience sounds.

Hello Robbie, calling a composition "timeless" is probably the highest accolade I can expect musically. But probably ALL times are in it, and in my opinion it's more like total eclecticism. In fact, I believe that no one can create a truly independent new trend anymore and that everyone is now doomed to be eclectic, which I don't see as a negative at all.

In any case, I am already looking forward to our next joint work in eclecticism! (they should introduce this to the genre selection).

Glad you caught it on the rebound. I'm making a "guitar works (or worx)" album of various stuff I have sitting on a hard drive.

I probably should leave a track in "featured" for longer, but I make them to fast, so they get maybe 50 listens before the next one is out.

There are others on this site far better at marketing than I am.

I'm going to make videos for this kind of stuff soon, just not sure yet, still mulling over ideas.

Rob, no actually the earlier version had a kalimba and a tabla setup playing the melody for that section. I squashed that idea and broke out Roland's Vibraphone. Also, Roland has an update so I'll shoot it over on the drive shortly. The new instruments brought me to tears! As always thanks for your listen and favorable commentary. TTYL.
