Yep... That's "Heavy Metal" triplet kicking Kick Drums and all.
I love your style on this track. I wish I had some big speakers
to get the full effect of the track.
in this track, Batka was able to show, how cool guitar player he is ... not because of the solos, (he never liked that) but his melody influence ...
incredible guy ...
Even though this is not the type of music I listen to.
I have to give credit to your huge talent as a singer and
producer on this track. You are off the charts good IJS.
This track sounds live as hell.
I think the only thing that was
missing was the ambient sound of
the fans in the background listening
to your set. Bass, Drums and Guitar were
all on point. In fact I especially liked
the Guitar.
Haha awesome comment! Well, the funny thing about "fans" is that in a previous version of the vocals, I'd forgotten to turn the fans off - the standing fans keeping the place cool ;)
Great that you enjoy the "live" sound! I'm trying to get it to sound less garage and more pro, but as long as I get the energy across, I'm happy :)
Thanks a lot Mr Jynx (wasn't Jynx a loony tunes cartoon cat?). i struggled to get a bass on this, still not sure I nailed it. Hadda google te ranngimarie! I don't speak te reo Maori but try to use as many words as I can, when I can. Thanks for the listen mate. Tumeke!
Extremely interesting waveform, I knew I was in for a treat.
This track is very creative. I've listened to it twice trying
to figure out that "Occidental-ish" melody that runs through the center of the whole track. Super engaging really draws you in.
man that mangled sound was the result of one of those accidents that go beyond understanding, and the way silverpaw played it is so empathetic and syncretic, it’s def a match for our chosen subject. i’m really happy you caught this, bro!
I would love to see your thought process for this track.
You have a gift for saying a lot with a little (minimalist)
I think it is amazing how the music keeps me so engaged.
Everything seems to be understated and overstated at the same
time (paradoxical).
To break it down in the simplest terms, when I find a lovely sample, in this case, the flute. The ideas flow. I get the image in my head of the results; it's just working to get there is the task. In another way, I'm like a gardener; I plant seeds, feed them with water and wait for my plants to grow. Production-wise, it will take way too long to explain the mix. you can email me or contact my SC on my page if you ever want to chat more on the production
Hey BM4real, you can never go wrong with 2Pac.
I know you had your hands full making this track
work so well. 2Pac has a tendency to rush his rhythm
while the Bass and Drums are rock steady. You made it
work.
You have a great voice. I wonder are you open to other genres?.?
I've been checking out your acapellas you've been slangin and bangin for a while. You've made some inspiring samples.
What's up Ian, no matter how long I'm away I know where to get my avant-garde music fix. I think the loose but tight feel of this track is very satisfying. The informative spoken word is icing on the cake.
Hey Jynxz - Im crazy busy but not dead yet - hope you are doing well. Thanks for the warm feedback mate - hope to listen to your new one as soon as I can
Thanks!! First of all, yes, I played all instruments live: drums in the studio, guitar and bass direct input, keys through a midi keyboard, vocals in the studio again. No samples except my own :)
The EQ is a good one. I'll check that; there's no brick wall, but both bass and kick drum do have some EQ to filter out noise.
It's cool you still remember my first steps on the path of music :) I think I made many steps since then, not in the least through the help of Loopermen and women who gave me loads of good tips! Thanks again :)
This track is super clean, sharp & classy,
If this track didn't get you extra points
with the Wife, I don't know what will.
The writing, Vocals, Bass and arrangement are
off the charts good.
I really like the depth and spaceyness of the beginning.
I'm also a big fan of those sultry type of Female vocals.
I have used that Laurentwirz Drum sample before, it really
gets things moving.
The Synth and Bass were super nice.
The way the Keys kept you in a delicious suspense.
And then it was over. That was the fastest 4 min ever.
I had to listen to it again to be sure it hadn't skipped somehow.
Hi J, thanks heaps for listening and the fav. I wasn't too sure about this track, maybe a bit random, maybe a bit boring but sounds like u thought it was ok. I tell you, after listening to the LM tracks I heard this morning that were so good and creative I started feeling like an imposter, putting my stuff up here. So thanks again.
Your sound always make me feel like I'm in a bar that has live music. I can almost see you and a band on stage. The only thing missing is the audience sounds.
I stopped playing out live more than 15 years ago. Playing in a band, going to see bands and band practice hones your ears to hear music a certain way. With me it's that live sound. So it's how I make my music sound.
Plus I don't try to make everything perfectly in time or perfectly played, my songs contain all it's imperfections, my lack of skill on the instruments, me breathing, my chair squeaking, the A/C turning on...lol. Hope those pass as audience sounds.
I think this is the first 9+min track I've listened to on LM.
Your Vocals are perfect (of course). The panning Synth at the beginning was a nice touch, it drew me into the track and wouldn't let me go. I really like your choice of Electric Grand as well as the other Keyboards and Pads.
I enjoyed this track big time.
I didn't notice the Drummer change.
I love the Guitar work and the overall
arrangement, mix and Master is flawless.
Great track.

There's a second drum track with the primary drum track on the chorus. It's pretty subtle though. Thank you for listening and commenting. I appreciate it.

I love the composition.
I haven't heard any of your music since the old days
(2019) when I first got on LM.
It feels like you brick walled the EQ at 100Hz.
The Bass and Drums were jamming but I couldn't really
hear or feel them(that could just be me IJS)
I'm really into the Keys and Vocals.
The track sounds "Live".
