That is quite a mind bending bassline and vocals! Really liking the punchy beat. That electro bass with the filter rise is really nice and crunchy! Sounds good! I should probably be going to bed soon as I have to get up early but instead I'm sitting here blasting this and cutting some mad shapes haha ;) The funky muted wah guitar sound or whatever it is sounds nice too! This is getting faved fo sho! Well done.
Thanks for staying up a little late to crank out the new one! It's fresh from the flash drive. Was fine to try some slightly different approaches, so I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to fave! I've got those stems you made on my studio hard drive now, and will be working with them shortly. Appreciate you listening friend!
Cool track, I wish I started making music at your age. Keep at it and you'll be really good in a few years! The riffs in this are nice and funky and I like the bit when the bass kicks in. Maybe work on layering bits up and adding some effects to make the whole thing sound bigger. Good job dude! :)
The beat does drive it along nicely! Cool synth sounds too, fit the track well! I'm listening to this quite loud and its pumping nicely! Good use of the vocal loops too, nice one!
Thanks man, i was pleased with the way that this one turned out, probably the best track i've written for ages if the truth be told. Perhaps i should do more d&b as it usually turns out pretty good. Well i say that but i've made some pretty shite ones as well in my time.
Glad you could drop in for a listen to this tune.
Hi. Yeah, maybe a little like those Floyd chaps and I can see why you say that.
Not sure if they ever really did any lazy shuffle grooves (probably) but they did, famously, do some awesome 7/8 in Money. That's a damn clever piece of music.
I don't think they ever really featured strings as in this one but I could be wrong there (not that it matters too much).
I'm a big fan though they're only one of thousands of influences. But their finest stuff really is about as creative and original as rock music gets.
I'm also not sure if they ever really did any blues epics, which is what the full version of this certainly is.
I'm trying hard not to make it too boring as it features a hell of a lot of guitar playing, as with quite a few of my tracks. And it's all either shuffle or lazy triplet drum feel.
This is going down a treat right now after a couple of drinks! Great beat and bassline! The vocals you use work quite nicely with the track and good production as well.
Thanks, I wish i'd cranked the volume up on Shauns vocals as it's hard to hear whar=t he says. Aside from that i still quite like this one so thanks for leaving comments on my tracks from the forgotton archives.

Nice track man, has a cool kinda garage beat in the intro that I like! The synth that comes in at 2:30 is really cool also. I like how the energy picks up after the first transition and the synth work is very good. Love it!
Thanks man, A lot of that synth work is just loops from pro packs. I just fill in the gaps with one shots, stabs and the occasional synth. I figure that there's people out there who know how to do really clever stuff that i can't do so i buy their loops and just rinse the f**k out of them. I just enjoy making these lil mixes. I'd like to make them longer but you have to sacrifice quality and i hate that.
Thanks for dropping in and checking out my track(s)

Thanks much for your supportive comment! It should definitely sound trippy, for some reason. Glad you heard fusion there too. We'll make a multilayered sammich together soon I'm sure! I appreciate you stopping in!
Nicely arranged dude! Like the bass synth that starts at 1:29. Definitely has that dance pop sound that is played a lot in clubs where I'm from. Good job! :)
Hi. I haven't listened to Nuno Bettencourt in years. No idea what he's been doing since the 90s. He's a wonderful player and I assure you I am nowhere near as good as that sort of guitar hero type of player.
I cheat a hell of a lot with all the close editing of my playing. I could be a lot better if I practised more and was in a regular band. But I can't be bothered to sit there and practise really hard when I just wan to get on and make the track. And I've got all the bass, drums, synths etc to do.
I take the best bits of my playing and carefully join them together. I don't know if I could play so fluently live and I'm fairly sure there are riffs in my stuff that I could never play. If you picture me playing all this in one go, I will sound a lot better than I really am. I can't even remember how to play half of this stuff, let alone string it all accurately together.
2:04 riff is a bit of a rougher sound than the previous stuff. I try to get the sounds similar but also a bit different to provide variety. Don't want it to be like all those boring instrumental guitar widdler fretboard wanker guys. Much better players than me but they tend to make really boring music.
2:29-2:31 little fill is one of my favourite bits of guitar in this though I kind of love them all.
Yes, 6 mins guitar stuff and energy is great. I actually have two metal drumkits layered there, both playing exactly the same thing.
I don't think of this as being a track where I blend that many genres. Not compared with many of my others. But I guess it still is, especially as there are hints of d'n'b and hip hop. There's even some tabla!
2:46 d'n'b ride madness gives a real lift to similar backing as in the previous section.
I actually have quite poor track writing ability. I'm just good at jamming and working very carefully with the material and eventually finding ways to join sections together. As I sort of don't know what I'm doing, it tends to come out sounding strange and unlike perhaps anyone else.
Good to hear from you with your interesting thoughts and high praise.
Cool, chilled out vibe in this one. Love all the different instruments you used and that bass is nice and deep! Some vocals would be nice over this but i know how hard it can be to find a piece that fits if you dont know anyone! Cheers!
Pretty cool remix man! That kick is really hard when it drops! The only thing I would say is that the vocals seem to clash slightly with the synth, maybe some eq or filtering would sort that out though! Good Job!
I like the acid-y sounding synth a lot and its a nice melody! The bass in this sounds really well done, reminds me of knife party a bit! YOI YOI YOI!!! :) Well done man! I like it a lot.
Took me some time to get that acid synth right sounding and some automation of course haha. Thanks for the comment, I feel honored with the knife party reverence.
Glad you enjoyed ;)
This definitely has quite a raw sound which i like. Not really heard much chiptune stuff before but its quite catchy. It sounds like it could be a track for a ps one game or something.
Thanks for your response to my latest work! I'm glad you enjoyed that raw sound, it kind of happened that way without thinking too much. If this reminds you of a PS one soundtrack, I suppose that means it belongs as a chiptune. It was mainly an experiment to put it under this genre, since it new, and because I used a bunch of lo fi circuit bent stuff. I wanted to see how different the listener's list and reviews would be under this genre. Interesting so far... heh. I appreciate you listening!
Really nice sounds in the intro. Picks up a lot of energy when the distorted guitars and LFO's come in! The drums have quite an epic vibe too. Nice mix man, well done!
This is so cool! Such a groovy intro and I love that sax too! This is literally one of the best songs I've ever heard on this site, hats off to you! All the different genres are blended superbly :)
Thanks. It was fun to do and quite a crazy journey through all those genres. But I've tried to mostly ease into each one so that the considerable changes aren't too harsh or abrupt. I could have packed them all into just a few minutes but I like to hear a decent amount of each one and return to previous themes and hear them presented in different ways. So, 7.5 minutes seems about the right length though I could have gone on far longer.
You get that sax coming in again in the second heavy (and fast) section but this time it's got different delay on it so is a lot more frenetic, which suits the uptempo metal behind it.
I move into any genre I feel like at any time in a track so tend to make different tracks within the same project ie on the same timeline. If you would like to hear the track that used to be joined with this one, check it out here:
It's a big exploration of different types of jazz but there's also rock and hip hop and more in there. It shares many of the same instruments with those in Way Beyond Wrong and is the same tempo. But no d'n'b - sorry!
Thanks again for taking up my suggestion and checking this out. I have loads more mad trips on the site. 28 levels Above Top Secret, Zero Per Cent Proof and Shapesmith are some other crazy journeys that are much longer.
Hey buddy, thanks for stopping in to listen and comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the track! I agree it's definitely crazy. Kind of felt like the end of an era for me, granted a short era, but it was there. Thanks again!
What you have sounds pretty good so far. Maybe try varying the patterns up a bit to make it a bit longer. Some synth or pad stabs would prob sound good over this, and a breakdown to chill things out for a bit and then drop the bass again. Keep it up man, good job! :)
Some very nice ambiance in the intro! I know you said you would change a few things but it sounds pretty damn good to me! Has an almost morcheeba vibe at time which i like a lot! I love it when it kicks in at 1:40 very cool. Maybe the transition from there into the next bit could be a tad smoother but its not really that bad. This one is getting faved for sure! :)
For the wobble I made one myself in massive haha, just playing around with filters to create a different sound during the song. The other leads are mostly from nexus I believe ;)
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment
Pretty cool track man, what you have sounds good! Maybe try layering the snare to make it sound full and add a touch of reverb to give it a nice tail. Just keep working away at it and mixing things up a bit. Well done!

I really like the riff at 2:04 and its perfect when it drops and calms down for a second before bursting back into another riff!
It almost reminds me of extreme a little bit in places and thats great because nuno bettencourt is one of my favourite guitar players!
Love the build up in energy towards the end, you've blended a lot of genres into this really well!
Great track man I wish I had half the track writing ability of you! :)
