Catchy song. It has variety in it to maintain interest and yet it is also cohesive. You use a lot of interesting sounds to complement each other. It doesn't ever get overwhelming but has a lot of balance. I can hear the heart behind the piano. The song may be about life's troubles, but I can hear some hope in it. Great song that puts feelings and story into musical words. Enjoyed the listen. Kper

At first the sounds feel like they shouldn't go together but as the piece goes on, everything starts to make a lot of sense in a complicated way. Very interesting and the sounds really work well together. Great job. Kper

A lot of great transitions and changes in this song. You used the guitars and the drums to create a lot of variety that stayed cohesive. Your songs have a lot of momentum and this does as well. Great job, as always. Kper

Awesome. Definitely Dream Theater. I like that it is a little harder than DT. Intricate but catchy. Just some great music to listen to. The keyboard sound adds a lot and compliments everything else. Great job- I like what you are putting out. Kper

Thanks Kper. I wish I could find a band that wanted to play this type of stuff. For one, it would be nice to have a real drummer that can play the off-beat stuff so that I don't have to cut loops up and misalign them on purpose to fake the sound. Thanks for the review man.

I enjoyed the progressive nature of this track. The keyboard work is great and really adds a nice layer. Everything is very well put together. I like how the keyboard melody at times mirrors the guitar riff. Great riffs in general. This is well constructed and each section is put together to flow well into the next and creates a complete song. Very interesting- this is a genre I enjoy and I think you have added a great track to this genre. Great job. Looking forward to hearing more. Kper

Thanks Kper for the review. This is the first song that I have ever been somewhat happy with my vocals. So I finally have a song with all the parts. I usually just upload music and no vox. Anyway, thanks for the review and have a great weekend.

What an image this creates- like the soundtrack to a fantasy story. I love the various effects- you weren't afraid to be bold but yet it all fits really well. It sounds ominous. I like how the drums kick in and frame the piece. So many great sounds. It makes it all so interesting. A high level of creativity. I really enjoyed this one. Kper

I like the chorus sounds you use throughout. It adds a great foundation. The drums are always appropriate for the mood of each section. It gives momentum without getting ahead of itself. I like the guitars and the effects you use with them. The piano is also another great foundation to the song. I enjoyed listening to this. Great job. Kper

I like the variety of ways you presented the melody. The organ with the metal guitars is also a neat sound. I like the feel of each of the sections- its shows all that can be done when one has a good melody as a foundation. A lot of great layers. I must admit that because of the length, the melody began to lose its impact for me as it went on and kept repeating. I think you had some good ideas with putting some sections in that don't include the melody just so that the melody has more impact when it does kick in again. It's a hard balance between finding a good melody that has a lot of impact and also not using the melody so much that it loses that impact. I struggle with that in my own tracks. I love the idea and the creativity in this track. Great job- it shows a lot of depth of thinking. Kper

Compelling melody and chord progression. Great variety in the beats- something different than the everyday norm. Great buildup of layers to create greater intensity as the song went on. Enjoyed listening to this one. Great job. Kper

Very powerful with few instruments. Beautiful piano chord progression and melody. Very contemplative. I wish I knew the story behind this. This tugs at my heart. Great track. Kper

Great groove and variety. The voice samples are great- they really frame the song and give it a direction. Great differentiation between the intense sections and the chill sections. You use just the right number of layers in each section- it is not overdone. This song has a momentum you built in. Great job. Kper

Interesting. Sometimes I hear songs that just overdo the whole voices thing but this one is very tastefully done and really creates an environment. It makes me excited to hear what is around the next corner. Sounds very urban. So many different sounds. Even down to the details of the triangle sound or cymbals- it is very well thought out and strategically placed. My respects to you. Kper

on Into the Deep Dark Blue by Kenikos
Sounds like choir practice in heaven. Everything just fits so well. I love how you went from a very seemingly random overlay of sounds to a very organized and beautiful song. I was transported. A spiritual experience for me. So well constructed with a lot of attention to the listener. You don't just create music, you create an experience. Great job. Inspired. Downloaded with my respects to you as the artist. Kper

on Among the Stars by Kenikos
Wow. I love the cello and violin sound together and mixed in with all the other sounds- it's awesome. I find it hard to get into ambient sometimes because it can be too much. This one, though, was perfect in balance. You had a good mix of instruments and not one too many. It was unstructured with good structure- if that makes any sense. It felt free and natural but I recognize that you did not just randomly create it- it was just very well constructed. Great use of inspiration from the poem. You're inspiring me to try out some ambient at some point. Awesome track and a great addition to the ambient genre. Kper

Mund- This is awesome. Everything is great- both musically and production. Perfect might be a better word. Extremely talented. The strings really create a comfortable layer for everything else. The guitar is great. Everything fits the mood of the song. The piano sound is perfect. This was incredible and overwhelming- I don't say that lightly. Truly enjoyed listening to this. Great work. Great inspiration source. Very unexpected piece of music. The way it took off was not what I was picturing when it all started. But it was a pleasant surprise. Very interesting combination of sounds and a very interesting progression of the song. It was fascinating and intellectually stimulating. It does not fit in a box. That's great to hear- people who pursue music as a form of art rather than just entertainment. The vocal chants are awesome. I like that the song goes full circle. Great job. Fascinating. Kper

Great chord progressions. Interesting bass line. This is an ear-pleasing song that let me relax a little and enjoy a listen. Good use of soft melody sounds but a more sharp bass sound and drums to create balance. Creates some good visual pictures for me. Great job. Kper

Positive song- perky and cheesy in a really fun way. I like the piano and violin (I think) sounds in the middle. A lot of really memorable melodies. So much interest compressed into one song. I like how you used the piano throughout to give it classical feel. I like lots of variety in a song and you have plenty here. I love the attention to detail in this song- including the key change at the end. Great ending. Thanks for sharing this song. Kper

Very organic. It has a good folk feel to it- like an old spiritual. The vocals are awesome. It also has a Native American feel to it. Either way, it is a song that comes from the earth and the heart. Well done- very compelling. Kper

Thanks, Kper. I've always been in awe of Lisagaye's voice. I can't sing worth crap - so imagine me, croaking like a frog, trying to teach her the melody, and then her giving me that vocal in return. I owe her much.

Catchy melody and I love the buildup. Great use of FX. Your track shows the professionalism of all the work you put into it- especially the production. Great break in the middle with the atmospheric section without the drums. It is like taking a breath in anticipation of the next part. Good balance of sounds in the upper register and those in the lower. Very well done. Kper

on Ur So BTYFL feat. Mhyst (Demo Mix) by c_man
Very tastefully done. Your respect for the vocals shows. Everything is well balanced- no part is overpowering. I am often skeptical of those who use vocals because the quality can often be off (I have not figured out how to do this myself so I really shouldn't say much). But you have done a great job with this and the vocals sound great. I think, in my opinion, that you could add even more to this if you wanted and still do justice to the vocals. As minimalism, this is perfect. Great job. Kper

thank you very much. really appreciate the comment. believe me, i've ruined a few vocal tracks before, so I guess practice makes it better :) plus, i'd hate to be the guy that'll wreck something as great as mhyst's fine work.

Great of the electronic and metal sounds. I like the many layers of interest in this song. The strings are great and create a great pad sound. I like the chord progression- it has a very organic feel to it even though it is heavier. The guitar arpeggios are perfect. The electronic sounds fit like a glove. I like that it can be soaring at times and other times darker and yet it all fits. Great creativity. I really enjoyed listening to this. Kper
