Description : Thought I'd share one or two tracks I did with my friend Lisagaye Tomlinson back in Florida. Did this one about a year ago. I wrote it after a car accident - felt the swoosh of the reaper's claw just missing my neck. It was to be a part of our 2nd album, which ground to a halt due to lack of funds. Kept the music stark - just the drum and the vocals (bg vocals from Lisagaye too, of course). Actually added live bass at one point but then took it out. I think LG sounds amazing on this. When we recorded it, she was sick and had never heard the tune; I taught it to her line by line. Somehow it came out great. To me anyway. Love to hear your take.

Very organic. It has a good folk feel to it- like an old spiritual. The vocals are awesome. It also has a Native American feel to it. Either way, it is a song that comes from the earth and the heart. Well done- very compelling. Kper

Thanks, Kper. I've always been in awe of Lisagaye's voice. I can't sing worth crap - so imagine me, croaking like a frog, trying to teach her the melody, and then her giving me that vocal in return. I owe her much.

Description : Something i did when i was about 15, and when i still made beats. This particular track is actually the reason i decided to get into composing at all. I had a good run with the beats and hip-hop scene, but i always had a leaning more towards composing and this, i think, is the catalyst for that revelation.
