It sounds like you had a lot of fun making this, it's got a blend of just about every single style of music haha. Sounds like you've done a megermix of 10 different songs. This is realy well mixed and i enjoyed listening to it, good job.
Thanks for listening. It was a lot of fun. I tried to make it in a way to keep my attention with lots of various sounds. Thanks for taking the time to listen and review. Kper
This is such a major masterpiece. It deserves a whole lot more than only 4 favs.. Man.. You blew my mind with this one. Excellent work on those guitar-riffs and you created this image of this scenario spotless. Nothing else to say. Rock solid. And my apologies for my backout on the colab we tried to make by the way.
It could have been a great song.. Would love to do it again, but I've lost all my old files. You wouldnt - by any chance - have it somewhere..?
Anyway - stunning track.
You're one of the best artists on the site man.
Steinaa, thanks for the review and your kind words. I've been dealing with a lot so I have not been making music as much as I would like. Your words of encouragement came at just the right time during a difficult time. Thank you. I believe I may still have the files of the collab- I will send it your way. No need to apologize. As I well know, life happens. Thanks again for honoring me with your words. As always, it means a lot coming from an artist whom I admire so much. Kper
This would be an incredible song for a trailer to a movie. The buildup in the song would go well with the build up of suspence some trailers use to draw the viewer in. Then, of course, it would have to be theme of the movie itself. Absolutely awesome piece.
Thanks for your very kind review, John59. I love the emotions movie trailer songs create so I think I like to tap into that a little. I'm new at this so still experimenting around but I am happy with how this one turned out. I will be waiting for Steven Spielberg to give me a call (just kidding). Thanks again for the review. Kper
:-)
I enjoy combining the metal sound with the electronic because it always surprises me with what comes out. Thanks for taking the time to review, LXVI. Kper
Wow, I really like how this song builds up. I love the cinematic feel. It is very epic. I love the suspensful keys and choral parts. This song takes you on a journey. Twisting and turning. Great work! Im faving this one.
Thanks for the kind words, Guitarjock. I always like music that tells a story and that is what I tried to create with this one. Thanks for taking the time to review. Kper
Epic...great atmospheric intro.Luv the added metal, really adds a menacing dimension to an already powerful piece.Great percs too.
Think it would also make an awesome video game intro...
KtA
Thanks, KTA. Sometimes I use metal guitars as a kind of percussion, which is what I was going for on this one. Thanks for the review, kind words, and for the inspiration. Kper
I gotta admit you have an amazing touch with intros, transmissions and making a song evolve slowly without making it sound boring in any way. The electronic sounds are something that you fit into every song you produce, and it blends with perfection every single time. Great buildup, and lovely progressions.
You are evolving greatly as a musician Kper.
*applauds*
Thanks, Steinaa. I have been taking the time to listen to more of other peoples' creations on this site and I am learning a lot and it is evolving me. It's nudging me to try new things. I always value and appreciate your comments. Glad to hear a new track from you as well. Take care. Kper
Another great track and another nudge for me to put Asimov's "Foundation" series on my reading list. I'm not generally a big fan of metal music but when it is kept under control, as in this piece, it can be an irresistible force. Nice work creating something very enjoyable. -Ken
I really try to use metal sounds as a compliment to other sounds versus an end unto its own. I try to use it to convey emotion and urgency with all the other sounds. Thanks again for your support and encouragement. I will keep checking out your site as well to look for inspiration. Take care, Kenikos. Kper
Great work on this one. It's a wonderful blend of modern tech conveying a sense of urgency along with classical symphonic expressing a majesty of purpose. I've only read 1 or 2 books by Asimov and those were many years ago but your track gives me a nudge toward delving into his Foundation series. I'm currently captivated by Dan Simmons' Ilium/Olympos novels but I think Asimov may be next on my reading list. Thanks for this amazing composition. -Ken
Wow- I appreciate your interpretation of Encyclopedia Galactica. You put it into words better than I did in the description. I checked out Dan Simmons and the books you talk about sound intense and deep. If only there were more hours in the day to read . . . I will definitely check the books out when I have a chance. Thanks for the review and support. Kper
We seem to have a similar interest in turning what we read into music. I'm not familiar with the story that goes with this track but I must say you've done a wonderful job of creating a fascinating picture (inside my mind at least) of a technologically advanced, computer dominated world. I'll definitely be back again to listen to more of your compositions. Great job on this one. -Ken
Thanks for your review, Kenikos. I have worked as a reading specialist with kids who just see books as a collection of words on pages and who do not understand how to emotionally and personally interact with and respond to books. I find that tragic but find hope with people, such as yourself, who have the ability to use a variety of mediums to convey a message based on books. I think that's where music crosses over from entertainment to serving people. I applaud what you do and thank you for your kind words. Kper
Thanks, Mund. I was a little insecure about putting the metal part in. But I always have felt that classical and metal belong together and that they can be used to intensify each other. Were he alive today, I am sure Wagner would have been in a progressive heavy metal band. :-) I enjoy when the combination works in a song. Thank you for your kind words. Kper
It's nice to know that the song accomplished what I hoped it would do. I tend to be all over the place when it comes to putting a song together and while different things are inspirations, they are very functional in that I need them to keep me focused and on track. Thanks for your kind words, ImproveWithError. Kper
i am familiar with this photo...and i think you captured its mood beautifully in this piece. so expansive! its weird, because before listening to this piece i always found that photo to be so lonely...perhaps its the lone horse bathing in a tiny sliver of sunlight. but now, looking at it while i listen to your track, the mountains seem so very massive...so powerful. its a truly stoic piece. well done!
Your review made me look again at the picture and I can see what you mean about the loneliness. I like to imagine myself there and I had a mix of emotions as I thought about it. I focused on the initial peace and then the majesty of the mountains in the song but I think there is the element you are talking about too. In nature, there is a certain amount of peace as well as tragedy in the loneliness you can find there. Thanks for helping me see that picture in a whole new way. It really got me thinking and challenged me to look below the surface as I look for inspiration for music. Thanks for the review- it means a lot coming from an artist whom I respect greatly. Kper
Thanks for your review. I try to pack a lot of myself into each song and hope it connects with others. Glad you enjoyed the listen. Thanks for taking the time to review. Kper
I really enjoyed this track mate, the metal-electronic combination works like a charm, and the postitive vibes at the end are fantastic :)
great job! downloading!
Thanks for the kind review, naturatech. I actually wrote the ending section first and then built the rest of the song onto it. I never quite know how it will all work out. Glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to review. Kper
Thanks, santiagosky. That actually really means a lot. Like a lot of people on looperman, music is what I do on the side that often people don't even know I do. That's why I enjoy looperman because of the affirmations, and constructive criticism, I get from people like you. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and review and for your kind words. It made me feel young again. Kper
Well I would never have thought of putting piano and heavy chugs together...but it really does work well...kudos.
Another highly creative piece...inspired:)
