on Clouds of Jupiter by KDLproject
I love ethereal soundscapes but so many times they get so tedious and repetitive. This is so far from that- lots of variety and so many different sounds. You get a sense of journey with it. There is beautiful harmony at times and then dissonance at others that creates balance and appreciation for each section. There is intense sound and then breaks at just the right spots to give some breath and definition. There are so many different sounds but none of them get lost. Loved the sound and the images it creates. Awesome! Kper

Thanks for the great review man. Sometimes I try too hard to not let my tracks get boring and over pack them, haha, but I'm mostly experimenting anyways. peace man, thanks for givin' it a listen.

on Remember Me by Steinaa
Everything flows so well together. It is soothing. There were some really intricate string chord combinations that made it really powerful. Even in the soothing there is intense musical interest. I enjoyed the layers of guitar, strings, and percussion- nothing overwhelmed the others- well balanced. I admire the fact that you challenge yourself. Enjoyed it. Kper

Thanks for your great review Kper. I must say, every review from you is a pleasure to read. It seems like you're one of the few that actually puts a little effort into this kind of thing. I appreciate that alot.
And one question for you - when is it time for us to colab? I mean, if you would like to, that is.
Thanks again Kper, looking forward to more tracks from you.

Great start. I like the electronic sound with the metal sound. None of the sounds overwhelm the others so everything stays balanced. You have interest in each sound- I noticed even the bass had an interesting progression. I like the sound breaks that give it some spacing. I like where this is going- hope to hear the rest soon. Yeah, this is it. Complex simplicity. Differing sounds flowing cohesively together. This soothes the soul and the ear after much abrasive listening and living. Thanks for putting out music that does this. Kper

on Through Space by Steinaa
You used "space" in your title and that is what I really liked about this song. There is use of space, breaks, and changes in the drums and sounds as well as the use of silence as a sound in and of itself. I like how you seem to build on each song and create interesting nuances that make each song unique. I like to take those lessons that you present in each song and learn from them. I enjoyed the listen as always. Thanks for sharing, Steinaa. Kper

on the forgotten by djdaddio
So many subtleties. It is like picking out the different colors of a sunset. The sounds mesh together well (through the guitar had a timbre that threw off the relaxation side for me a little) and the piece is very fluid. I like songs like this where if a person wants to relax into it, they can and if a person wants to intellectually interact with it, there are sound palettes that are creatively used that allow a person to do that. I found myself doing both. Thanks for sharing- I enjoy how you incorporate different sounds in this and your other tracks. Kper

Very interesting. I like the transitions from one section to the next- they flowed really well and built the anticipation. I like the chord progressions and the interesting melodies that were different enough from each other that they kept things interesting with variety but similar enough that they provided cohesiveness. I like how in each section, a different facet of the music (the bass, the drums, the synths, etc.) each took a lead role at different times. Each one got to be the "star" at some point in the song. This is not usually my genre but I enoyed the listen. It really kept my interest and was fun. Kper

Thank you so much for the detailed review. I like what you said about each facet taking the lead as it progressed, as I didn't see that before. I tend to underrate cohesiveness and exchange it for something that keeps my attention, sometimes to the detriment of the final product. Thanks again.

on At The Gates Of A Star by Steinaa
Awesome! As always, the drums are intense and add to the emotional effect. Great mix of the synths and metal sound. Teh variety in the guitar keeps it interesting but links the different sections together well. I like the tone change in the middle and all the variety. I love how you push the genre and push me along as well. I just moved across the country (2000 miles)and it was great to come back to this. I appreciate the inspiration and the technicality you work into your music. I consistently check the site for your new tracks and look forward to them. You set a very high bar. Thanks again, Steinaa! on Acoustic Tap by ChrisHall
I have attention deficit when it comes to music so it takes a lot to keep my interest. This definitely did with the variety and the changes that happen right when they are needed. It was relaxing and yet musically interesting at the same time. That is perfect. Put out more like this. I also like the bird background. I made me feel like you were tapping out a tune on the front porch on a summer day. Awesome. Kper

This would make a great soundtrack. I enjoyed the buildup as the track went along. I like the mix of electronic sounds with the accoustic sounds. They fit well together and enhanced the mood. Its a good song to escape to another place and time to. Thanks for sharing. Kper

Your voice is earthy and real which is soothing to me and grounds me. Your voice is real but you can tell there is a lot of practice and dedication behind it. In all of your work, you have a compelling sound and bring intelligent vocals and sound to the genres you explore. The song is beautiful and uplifting. We all need this song at times. Thanks for sharing.

This song allows me to put my brain on cruise for a while. But it is not mindless-it has interest that keeps me engaged. It sounds good for mentally processing a long day. I enjoyed your other tracks as well- they have an intellectual as well as spiritual side to them that allows me to relax but also feel like I am getting somewhere. You have a good sense of what drum tracks will enhance the mood you are trying to create. It all works very well. Kper

Good groove- a lot of variety of sounds that keep it interesting but something you can bounce along to. It creates an atmosphere that is ethereal but appeals to natural rhythm. I enjoyed the listen.

I really like the interesting sounds that you put together. They would not seem like they should go together but when you put them in the song, they sound really good together. There is also good variety and build up so that there musical ups and downs in the song to make it interesting. This would be a great foundation to build a song on. I enjoyed the listen!
