Description : Had some hours alone to make a full track without any disturbance.
Hardware is a Jackson RR5 plugged into a Line 6 POD X3. Mixed and recorded with Reaper, where I used Addictive Drums. All music by Steinaa.
Enjoy!

I cannot stress how much I love your guitar playing man. I wish you the best in all your endeavors man. Solid, as always. Love the clean part and the leads. Thanks for posting this. You are destined for success.
Hey again mate :)
Always a pleasure to read such reviews, makes me wanna do another track instantly, haha. Thanks for taking your time to add a comment on this and the 'Apocalypse', it really does mean alot to get some feedback - especially one like this.
Hi Steinaa,
Thanks for the nice compliments on my metal tune. I will see about doing another one then since so many liked it. It is not a genre that I enjoy the most is all. I did it on a dare. I don't like songs that people are screaming in so you can't even hear the words...However, an instrumental doesn't have that problem.
I'll let you know when I get another song done....just been working a lot of overtime, and haven't put out anything since April.
Thanks again for your reply to my comments about your song here..
Randy
Hehe, I hear you! I listen to a lot of the stuff you listen to.
Ascendancy is one of my favorite albums aswell. I have had "like light to flies" as my ringtone for years. Always scares the crp out of people! Im gonna listen to the rest of your stuff!
I saw your profile and you do listen to some great music. This track is nice. Its quite hard but its calm and beautiful at the same time. Could see someone like Anders FridÃÂn singing on this.
Great job!! Faved.
Its good to see that I'm not the only In Flames-listener around here :) And thank you for the kind words - would also love to hear Anders singing on this one ;)
A lot of great transitions and changes in this song. You used the guitars and the drums to create a lot of variety that stayed cohesive. Your songs have a lot of momentum and this does as well. Great job, as always. Kper
Thanks for listening and commenting on my rock-metal song I made awhile ago. I appreciate your talents here as well in this cool tune. Lots of good guitar playing going on and it all is well organized. Your playing is very good and the whole song fits together well. I like the drums too. Makes me wanna do another metal tune. :-)
Your rock-metal song is still one of the best songs on the site, so why not make another attempt on a rock/metal-ish song? I'm sure the whole rock and metal-community would appreciate it alot.
Thanks for the compliments on the song btw, it means alot :)
Keep rockin Randall!
Awesome guitar, great production. I took some time listening through your songs, and man I'm impressed. Excellent guitar work. Apart from the fact that all tunes rock as hell!
Great playing, love the guitar work. I agree the guitar is tight. Like the track a lot. Good work-Respect.
Using Garage band and the drums always lack something, even with a nice sample. You got a great beat there that gives it a little more colour, than I am getting at present.
Great work.
Hey BlackJacob.
Thrilled to read that you love the guitar work..! (Which guitarist wouldnt..?)
I've never tried garage band, so I wouldnt know much about it..
Anyway - thanks for leaving a comment :)
some say rock instrumentals are boring ... you and me know it better!!!
but it takes some musical experience to write and arrange instrumentals in a way, that nobody misses vocals ... you show that skills!!
and your guitar playing is exceptional, very very tight, awesome sound, very complete technique ... perfect!!!
it's interesting to me that we use similar equipment, I also record with reaper, and I use a line6 podXTlive ... Addictive Drums I have already ordered ... lol
looking forward to hear more!!
Instrumentals are anything but boring if you do it right!
Thank you once again for your compliments, and for taking your time to leave these comments..!
Yeah, Reaper has been my standard program for awhile now, and I'm reeeally satisified with my Line 6 Pod - a truly amazing tool for a guitarist!
Addictive Drums sounds way better than any drumprogram out there right now, in my opinion :)
And again - thank you for a great review..!
Hoping for another Rock/metal-track from your side soon mate, always a pleasure to listen to!
the first 20 seconds i thought; "hmm... a little generic".. but that quickly faded..;) great track.. the clean parts are awesome, as always. you def. have your own style.. i'm kinda guessing you've been listening to alot of in flames lately, cuz this reaks of it..hehe.. but in a good way... fav'd!

Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.
