I really like this! a lot, i would pay to see you wither and fall apart screaming these lyrics! You should add this to the Lux Divon catalog!

ya good ear.. i have a hard time listening to the advice i give vocalists.. grab yar nuts when you sing and sing like you don't give a F#@!.
i hold back even though i know that holding back hinders.. thank you for telling me cause i really needed to hear that from some one else.

boson havoc is lux divons dark secret :D

You are hella talented homey.

I like all that I have heard so far, but a deeper inspection is due.

It's quite nice, and perfect.

Again, I think your panning technique is something else.
You really need a title. You should take a line from the speakers and use it as a title.

ah.. it's starting to open up like a flower. Very nice!

err.. oh... so can we... use samples? as long as we don't allow download?....?

on My heart belongs to you; Jump the Q by SLAPJOHNSON
i can be a bit cynical about love...

but somehow, you kinda convince me to come to the light side...

not yet not yet hehehe...

i really love the solidity of your horns... fantastic job keeping the levels clean.... i also really appreciate the stereo imaging... things are placed nicely like it was a live band.... which also... drops my jaw...

great song!

NICE on the remastering stuff dude!
I used to do "some" weird stuff like that in audition but not like this.

Sounds FULL, and Fantastic.

Hey, ... I mean, I will be completely real with you JackRipper. I like your music. I see here that I can download... but I would PERSONALLY, rather send you money, so you can buy a drink, ON ME, for making really good music.

on The Human Zone by Planetjazzbass
i think damanns coils are going out.
slap is a master.
i think you have managed to take what i have always wanted to say with music... and say it.

i was thinking... about life. the feeling you get when you take a deep deeep deeeeep breath. the solidity. the feeling of life.

time and hunger. the mind. it's nagging effect on the conscience.

i really love this dave. this is... incredible.
can i be really real with you?... have you ever tried distortion? i felt that with a track like this. the human zone, despite the synths... i felt that distortion was needed on your dialogue.

thank you either way. i feel more lost than found in reality than ever.

i agree with mr.e tho, a planet slap CD would be pretty sweet. but try some distortion on size one time?

LOVE IT. FAVORITED.
you know, it reminds of the FIRST track i ever heard on looperman, which was Chernobyl. that thing rocked my world after rei's follow the sunset.

anyways, thank you, highly recommended.

on Dead on Arrival by JackRipper
i think the other title was better

i really like this, but when you go rock metal, you really need vocals, and i love how you used effects to make it happen.

your taste in drums... jesus, you are an amazing digital drummer.

i would buy your CD.

on Dream of Jack's House by JackRipper
you know.. there is no right or wrong with mastering?

you can do 200 different things, and as long as it sounds full.

personally, i love compression, and i think you have a perfect mix of compression and pulse. (that's what trance attains for right?)

you know how i know you aren't gonna get signed? because you won't play clubs. (but, hey, neither will I lol)

this is DJ ready. i think you could do it.

my favorite part is the movement of two moods, and then placed simultaneously with great effects and movement.
at the glitch part, i wanted an ominous bass, BOOooooooooooommmmmmm....

Either way... damn dude... you remind me of soundvisionz, to modest to know when you got a good thing.
JackRipper
JackRipper replied Unknown
Alivid- Hey man, as always thanks for taking the time to review my track man, dude you are right on about not playing clubs.. My first love was producing and i'm getting into djing but until i can afford a set of denon s3500's Im gonna keep on producing.. Have a good one man-Ripper

on Wadada by jahknow
heh, i remember reading an article about analog and digital saturation...

the interesting thing they find is that analog sound "folds" upon peaking, whereas digital distortion/saturation just continues for ever at it's peak pace.

really digging this one (and in all cases, i am usually against happy music lol)... loving the escapism of it.

great panning, great mixing, and mastering...

what the fuck is wadada?

on Adrenachrome by JackRipper
wow man....

i mean.. this is impeccable... i really want to just say.. like as an outside consultant, that you shouldn't change anything... but if you just added a few pop elements, you could break DnB into the top40. (err, BUT WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?!?! lol)

for example, at the one minute mark, i felt that tempo was perfect, but you had the Groaning synth going full bore? you know? and i felt, that maybe with a womans soothing voice, calming the listener, just for a moment, then pause, BAM!!!
i dunno, shrug (wait.. would that be considered cliche?)

very well implemented. you should teach me lol....

JackRipper replied Unknown

fantastic mastering, and great glitch'verb on the tabla!!!! damn dude!
(i think i understand what you meant about patterns)

digeridoo damn right!!!

i can already tell i am gonna enjoy a lot of your stuff already.

on Fraternity by Avail
man, it's about time i stopped by!

to be honest, i really didn't start to feel it till 1:20ish once the bass came in, but as the resonance came, it became soo apparent. beautiful head swells. great touch on the ride hat there!

you don't know any theory? lol.. freaking crazy...

i was just thinking?.. is there a way to let off the sidechain a little? just near the end 3:30-5:00?? soo the crescendo's soft build becomes full bodied, and then taper it off naturally like you did around the 5 minute mark? it's not a big deal, but it was a little thought that popped into my head... it might have been interesting to have the swells dissipate, and then the build and drums become full bodied, and then back again? meh? that would be a headache to master tho..

anyways!

i really like it!
(it's good to be back)
ohh, and one more thing, any reason for naming it "fraternity?"
Avail
Avail replied Unknown
Hey, there. Never told I don't know any theory lol. In fact I got more into it lately. But I'm not much of a theory head I'm more of a practician and experimentalist lol.

Actually I'm thinking of remaking it because i found a good bass to go with it. Sine bass triads, my first time trying such a thing. And I don't worry much about the mastering side. I like messing with Compressors and EQs

Glad you liked it there. As for the name, It's the
name of my old gaming clan. Also I really like the ring to it.

By the way, not nocturnal anymore?

on "Raining In London" BeanutStyle by beanut
thank you for the head-sup!

i don't really now if i have much to say..

I cruise the streets in the rain compulsively living in the northwest of the united states, and this will lay nicely on my ipod as i cruise the shit town lights, and the rain get's in my eyes.

nice!

i love the feel of it (and i typically prefer more morbid sounding/sad sounding music) but i love it! I enjoyed reading your responses to the reviews, you have a great sense of depth, and lot of talent!

Well of course, in all practical realitles, a rainforest is where u live. Which is why i thought the track would appeal to u. Eventhough the track was called, raining in England, I imagined Seatle,or,Portland,or even Ashland. etc...I'm a traveler too u know. My brother is still up there somowhere. His name is ZETH. He has a G13 license and is a completete idiot. I learned and decideed to conform...well...slightly...

on seroxat by Seroksaty
about a year old, but still...

i know how it is with some projects, they just sit there, and some get better, some don't...

i think it's amazing you do all the work yourself. but i feel that a real band should accompany you on a song like this...
not that it is bad, it's amazing! real power, teeth and bone!

i would just love to see a real band backing you!

the double 5th power chord outro was really powerful... it gave me this feeling of utter terror! AWESOME!

on Magic Carpet by Planetjazzbass
man that's a nice carpet!

how much?

bass work is incredible. i can never get the same vocal quality in my bass as you do, but i guess that goes back to the old adage "it's not the instrument, it's the player"

horn work is amazing btw.

i am searching for words, when the music is right there.
no need for words when you have this resting on your mind.

lol... implemented soo well!

tugs on the edge of analog goodness! great filters and use!

lol.. mr.e should totally play drums

you know, i am thinking about doing a tack that is just a drum solo.
thanks for inspiring me and being a very good human!
