I really like this track, that lead synth is great and the female vox are fantastic. I love the way the synth mimics the vox at 4:40ish The mix is superb, the levels are perfect.
Great work,
Helix
Like the laid back feel in this track, the shotgun sound effect is cool but it's a little overused, maybe only bring it in every other bar rather than every bar.
Good work,
Helix
First of all, well done on getting mod status, you really deserve it. On to the track, I understand where you're coming from about feeling lifted up by this song, it's very laid back, but funky all the same, the pads fill up the song nicely and the mix is seamless.
Great stuff Donnie the Moddie.
Peace,
Helix
Thanks mate, who knew I'd end up being one, haha. As for the mix, they didn't offer that many loops in the pack so I hadta do a good bit of messing around to make this track seem fuller and in order to give it a decent length. Honestly, after the first half-hour I was worried that I'd even be able to make a full song. Anyways, glad ya dug it. Later on!
That bass is lovely, The pads are superb and the gated pattern is great. I really like the chord progression, it's very chilled out but funky too. The drums carry the song very well and there don't seem to be any problems with the mix.
Great work,
Helix
That Reece is wobbly. Your use of noise in this track is superb, it really thickens it out, the drums are great and the mix is perfect, everything can be heard very well, no problems with the levels.
Keep it up,
Helix
It's always a shame to see a track with a good number of plays but no one took the time to review.
I really like the pad in this track, feels like you're standing on a cloud, and the little bells in it are lovely. The drums hold the track together well, and when the snare sound comes in it adds a different more upbeat aspect to the song.
Great work.
Helix
Hi Falter, I really like the feel of this track, the choice of synths you went with was very good, and the melodies are great, but I feel there's something missing, the song feels a bit empty, it might be the drums, I'm not sure. I didn't hear any of the earlier mixes but this one was worth checking out.
Peace,
Helix
haha damn, i just got done reviewing one of your tunes. nice one =p. i know i said its the final but im starting to think the same, beats a bit generic. well spotted =]
Pce
Thought I'd give this track another, more detailed review.
The overall groove of this song is great, has me tapping my foot all the way through, I like the harshness of the dirty synths, and the softness of the vocal, it sets a great contrast throughout the song. The interesting off beat drums work really well in this track, and I like the open hat sound you used.
You've got to upload some new stuff soon man, I need my fix of Salkizar.
Peace,
Helix.
[And yes, I think the 6 nations is ours :D]
I love your use of eastern style scales, sort of reminds me of Infected Mushroom, your breaks are fantastic and all the little sound effects really build up the song.
Fantastic piece.
Keep it up.
Hi Yukon, Fantastic work on this track, the lyrics are great, a lot of feeling in them and your rapping is superb too.
Well done to you and Elaine.
Peace,
Helix
Nice track you've got here, lots of interesting stuff going on in this song. There are some notes which don't sound great together, but maybe that's the sort of vibe you were going for.
Peace
To be completely honest, my backing tracks don't do your voice justice, Your vocals on this track are brilliant, and the lyrics are superb, the guitar part you added is great too. I'd like to do another collaboration with you, I've got another backing track about half finished, I'll contact you when it's finished.
Hi DV, I really like this track, lots of exciting elements in it, Makes me want to collab with you sometime. I liked the how this song was quite subtle, everything flowed very well and was quite smooth, even though the synths were quite powerful. I liked the almost atonal harmony at 1:30ish, gave the song a different vibe, a good vibe.
Well done to you and XxYoung.
P.S, I really enjoyed reading the desc. You have a definate way with words.
Yeah, this was started around the same time Manipulation was, back when I had just got the prog I made 'em with. The fast forward to last year and I tried picking it up again, but it felt empty. Even as intense as it is. It wasn't until I got the loops from Young that I felt that it was finally filled & ready to step out. Right now we're just in a waiting pattern for him to whip up those pads and it'll enter the next phase of it's evolution. In fact, I think the atonal harmony you refer to is one of the loops he sent me.
As for the collab, maybe one of these days, ya know. If ya got any projects that you'd be interested in seeing what I can do shoot 'em to me, cool?
As for the desc, thanks. I always try to be accurate and full with 'em. They support the song I think. Later on!
Hi Randy, I really enjoyed listening to this track, I like this style of Western music, reminds me of watching old cowboy films on TV with my Dad. Very nostalgic, thanks for sharing.
Man you guys are fast! I no more than get it uploaded and already 5-6 reviews! I am glad you liked the tune. I wasn't sure how it would go over as it's so different from the regular music on here.
Anyways, thanks for you nice comments. Much appreciated.

So dark, so very very dark.
I can picture this being played over a snuff horror movie, then the man starts screaming, to be completely honest, I'm quiet scared. Amazing track you've got here, to be able to control a persons emotions so much, isn't that what music is all about?
Hey dude, thanks for the review! And the awnser is yes, it probably is your loop! i downloaded like 150+ loops from this site a while ago, but i only just realised that there were no names on the loops etc when i came around to using them. So, im sorry for not mentioning you in this!!
Hi there.
I really like what you've done with this track, the vocals sound great and I really love the lyrics, the vocals are a bit too loud in places but other than that it's brilliant.
I'd love to do another collab with you sometime soon.
I think you have a great voice Dev, I love the recording quality of the piano, it really makes it special. Everything is so laid back, so chilled out.
Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed listening.
Oh Six, Even though I was told not to review I couldn't help myself, the piece that you've arranged hear really is beautiful. There's a fantastic feeling throughout and it's very pleasant to listen to. I could see a track like this being the soundtrack for a trailer to some sort of magical film.
