Really liking this one. The stuttered robotic voice is awesome but as the others have said you need some more punch in your drums. Rather than making them louder make everything a bit quieter so they kick through the mix a bit.
Very interesting intro, loving the glitch f/x. The acapella needs to be poking through the mix a bit more. the EQUO equalizer has a good 'vocals enhancer' preset to help with that.
Love that synth around 4mins, very dissonant, very nice.
Nice beat man, very good use of sample, sounded great. Bassline is very, well, I can't really think of the word.
You know those things you get, about 7 inches long, and they slip right through your hands and stuff. Imagine someone slapped you with one of them, and you got knocked out, that bassline is the sound you'd hear. Wait, I remembered what I was gonna say, it's really resonant and mushy, I know what you're thinking, why don't I just go back and replace that stupid description with what I actually meant to say but I thought you'd like to read it.
Very well produced track all in all, lots of nice effects and variation which makes a track go from good to great. Good job brah.
Very very nice, right from the start. Great pad, really nice drum beat and that piano sounds amazing. You've worked very well with the instrmuents to make an excellent finished product.
Mmm, good bass. Just the 3 oscillators? Did I ever send you thing with 30? :D I like the wobble on this one, just beef out the whole song and it'll be a good 'un.
For a dirty track, this is really groovy. I'm liking the chord progression and that distant reverberated tuned idiophone. Speaking of idiophones, those awesome steel drums just came in. Maaan they are sweet. I really really like this track. Honestly man, I think this is fantastic.
Thank you kindly! The steel drums are almost verbatim of a set used on Frank Tovey's "Civilian" album, and this track really was created as an evolution spinning out from this loop. So the entire song is really inspired by a piece of punctuation. Thanks to victormusic01x for that loop in particular as it's the key. I've got 5 versions as drafts of this one now, and it may be my best bit of jungulation to date (imho). Still haven't found the 2:30 version yet!
This track has a very full sound, whether that's the choice of synths or the eqing I'm not sure. Maybe it's both! A lot of energy with very interesting synths. I love that vocoded sample.
Thanks for taking time to listen! I did do a lot of EQ'ing on this track to expose the underlying layers. I mastered it pretty heavilly too, to keep the mix pumpin. The vocoder came from my Microkorg. Thanks for the review!
There's an ambulance siren outside perfectly in sync with this track, it's OSSUM. See what I did there? Love the glitch variation, works very well. That' all for now.
Later.
Woah, this is funky. I love what you've done with that acapella. I've heard it raw and you've mixed it up so well. Overall impressions of the song, very good, very good.
Keep it up.
I think this is only the second RnB track I've listened to on the site, I've always had this thing that RnB isn't what it used to be and isn't real Rhythm and Blues, but this track wipes away all my misconceptions. I love the slicing you've done with the vocal and other loops.
Starting a review is always hard for me, so I figured by saying that it should be easier.
Really good choice of pads. Piano is very nice. Do you play yourself or program through MIDI?
Brilliant transition between the piano and the gate. That bass hits hard.
You mentioned in the description that it turned out softer than you hoped it to, but I think it worked very well.
Thanks Helix. I use MIDI, nothing can go wrong. I already regret saying that ¬ ¬
I'm glad you liked it, as for the hardness thing i just think i kept the piano too long and left it mellow in the start so it gets harder eventually. which makes it seem "softer" ?
Don't know.
Drums are like, woaah. Even though this has been playing a lot in my house I haven't properly listened to it yet. Really like what you've done with the bass, the glitch is almost unnoticeable it flows so well [that's a good thing]
Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaah how did I miss this track?
I really do like this one, you are becoming my favourite artist on this site, everytime I hear one of your songs I'm just blown away. This one is so airy, the contrast between acoustic sounding synths and more synthetic synths works very well. I looooove the guitar style synth that comes in half way. That just blew my mind.
As always, amazing track.
Can't wait for more from you.
thx dude! Really appreciATE YOUR COMMENT. This has been up a while but i only just finished it last night...started workin on it in april!! But due to having to get a new laptop...re install fl AND all my plugins...then i had problems with the fl file from my old hard drive....I am quite astonished i managed to finish it at all!!
Very nice, The wall of sounds in this, the mesh that fits so perfectly together, like a jigsaw. The pieces slotting perfectly together. It just works.
I can say no more.
Mmm wobble.
Great intro, groovy drums are cool, I like the reggae sense in it, nice upbeat happy dub. Awesome acidey synth at 1:40, I really love that.
Great track.
Ooh yeah, I like it.
Great slicing on the amen, sounds awesome.
Generally speaking throughout the song it feels more thick and powerful and in my opinion is far better than the original track.
Good job friend, good job.
Not better, different. Remember dude, this wouldn't have been possible without your track.
Thanks for letting me do this dude. I think this has turned out to be my best track to date.
Thanks for the review.
Peace, brah.

Woah, this is incredible. As I've said before, you manipulate noise very well, thus I am giving you the title Professor of Noise.
As always, great track.
Man, that crash cymbal is awesome. Keys are great, they fuse really well with the strings. I love the low tones of the reverberated bass drum and they higher strings. Works very well together. Keep it up.
