Really nice bouncy intro to this track. Wow, amazing piano, did you play that yourself? Great break, the build up is great. Great melody is fantastic keeps the bouncy feel, nice and happy too.
All in all great track, off to check out more now.
thanx man really appreciated.. i was starting to think noone was diggin it.. any suggestions? or you think its good the way it is.. thanx again bro stay up - gotti
Really great track, lots of variation in it, I love the breakdown in the latter half, has a sorta Muse-y feel to it with all the arps etc. The only let down is the guitar synths, I might be able to help you with recording some of the guitar stuff. Just let me know.
Also, thanks for using my synths loop :D
Hi Slap.
Really relaxing track, beautiful melodies in this one.
Saddly, I've reverted to using my old built-in speakers so the quality is lacking, and it's distorting a bit but I'm sure with some half decent speakers this track would be truly amazing.
I'll relisten and re-review when I get some new speakers.
As always, great work.
Hi Helix, sorry to hear about your kak speakers.
Being a jazz musician is great, because you have to create melody instantly when improvising.
I'm glad you like the track...
Hi all.
I'm really getting down to this track, I like the groove to the intro, that bass is awesome. I love the chord sequence. I think the FX really makes this track though, some really cool alien esque sounds. In the latter parts of the song I think the crash cymbal is a bit quiet. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Can't wait for more.
Cool deal Helix,
I just shot the samples over to XxYoung the other day so this'll definately be entering it's next stage of evolution soon. Anyways, glad ya dug it. Later on!
I really like how this one came out, great lyrics and I love the effect on the vocals.
I should have another track finished so make sure you check your monday morning email.
Pun intended.
I'm reading Dune right now, haven't got round to watching the film but I've played the old game, it's good stuff.
Lots of nice patterns in this one, very dirty sounding in places, which is why the contrast with the clean drums is nice.
It felt a bit out of time in places, but for a first try it's fantastic.
Looking forward to hearing more.
That's cool mate. There are so many books in that series it's hard to say which is the best. Though I will highly recommend that ya check out the Dune Prequels (written by Frank's son and this other novelist guy). I've got 'em all though I've only read half of them so far.
Of the films, I highly recommend the first one that came out in the 80s (the Sci-Fi channel did it too, but it just didn,t have the same vibe).
Yeah, the drums didn't quite fit because I added them second (prolly shoulda been first, but it's cool I guess). Kinda just wanted to put 'em there for reference. The keys were my main focus and I tried havin 'em be as different as night and day. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
man thank you so much! that means a lot.....and it's a great thing to wake up to. you did great yourself though man. i was really fearing the competition from you, a big reason because we were using one of your samples
Thank you very much! I'm finally replacing the guitar I have (which won't stay in tune long b/c it's broken), and I hope to record some more stuff as I write it.
Love the reverberated/delayed snare in this one. The melodies compliment it well. Track flows nicely throughout, No criticism from me, I enjoyed listening.
Keep it up.
Awwhh, Why did it have to end? I was really getting down to it. I can't wait for the full version now. I love the long intro, it builds you up for the beautiful chord sequence coming up. Sorry I can't say more but it's only 2 mins.
Looking forward to this one. I'm sure you won't let me down.
thx man! This has changed quite a bit now and a lot has been added..should be uploaded by the weekend! By the way....did u hear i like your new logo..Smart!!
Wow, that intro is incredible, you manipulate noise very well. I love the sounds in this, they all work very well with eachother and the mix is perfect, I can find no faults with it. Sorry I can't say more but this is my first proper listen of a glitch track, and I love it.
Keep it up.
thanks for the appreciation, helix. i enjoyed this competition, and i'm glad you have taken a liking to my manipulation of noise. it's what i do moreso than compose "songs".
the mix on this track pretty much just fell into place, not much need for any re-mastering after i completed it.
if you like what you've heard so far with glitch, have a listen to edIT and the glitch mob!
Great intro, your choice of drums sounds is good and the piano is superb. It isn't quite Techno or Trance in my opinion, but genrefication doesn't really matter. I love the build up at 3:20ish.
Great track overall, no major critisicm.
First heavy song I've listened to in a while. Melodies are great as well as the heavy kick and bass. The song felt a bit empty in places though, maybe try using another synth to match the main melody and playing it an octave higher.
Brilliant eastern vibe in this track, really laid back, my foot was tapping throughout. I think the length is okay, but the ending is a bit abrupt.
Great work to you and Holly.
I really like the airy synth on this one, as MC said the contrast between the sharp drums and smooth synths is good. In my opinion the gargling synth lets this song down, other than that though, top notch. Your production skills are improving vastly.
Nah man, the gargle MAKES the tune :P
Ah well, each to their own opinion, eh?
Just to let you know though, I won't be changing it lol :P.
Thanks for the review man.
Peace.

Wobble..is..Greaaaaaaaat. The sound you went for is cool, that string sample is brilliant, really adds a great vibe to this track. In the second half of the song you could add some nice looong pads to fill the space up a bit, but other than that, great tune.
WOM WOM WOM WOM womuhwomuhwomwomwomuhwomuhwoooom!
Thanks dude. Review means a lot.
My well go back and revisit this... though I dunno if I like the saound bare like it is... I dunno.
Will play around, anyhow.
Peace, man.

Great track Kii, really looking forward to hearing this with some vox. This is definately your best song to date. You should try working with this style again.
Hey dude.
Thanks for the review, means a lot to me.
I can't wait for BigJowezy to chuck down some rhymes. Should be good!
And yeah, I think I will try more with this style... if I could finda rapper to work with permanently like... think I know a guy.
Thanks again for the review dude.

Incredible, your vocals are fantastic and there's so much meaning behind the lyrics. As always I'm very pleased with how this has turned out. It's been an honour working with you and I'm looking forward to future projects.
Great sounds Gadget, GadgetGlitch! You've manipulated the loops, well, the arrangement is great and the mix is perfect. I would like to have seen it a bit longer, but it would have been hard with so few loops.
Great track!
I got into the groove of this track very quickly, I think it's the drums, they really got me into the feel of the song. I love the filtered piano that comes in, and the guitar[?] chords are really nice. The lead piano melodies are great, a lot of variation, really mixes the song up. The layered drum beat that starts at around 2:30 is brilliant, makes the song a bit heavier and bulky. All in all a fantastic track.
I'm glad I found this one.
Peace,
Helix
Edit: Just read the description, when I said guitar chords I was refering to the Toxic Biohazard sounds.
I appreciate the review, particularly because it comes from you. I love your DnB tracks; they're gorgeous.
I'm still working on how to make drums sound natural (or unnatural but awesome), so I'm basing my beats around a sliced loop, then re/moving/adding elements until I get the sound I like. I glad it didn't sound too spastic when the second drum set adds in.
