the actual waveform you've created here is probably much fatter than the looperman space apparently available for this particular track - I had to turn my speakers down to some degree the moment your music started. is there a kind of overall overkill happening here and that's ok? at least for some members.
Sorry I'm working on headphones and with a slightly muted channel too!I was a bit concerned when I saw the file but can't be bothered to change it now.
hello Joe:) this is really a beautiful one. it reminded me of some songs from an old LP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GC_OEOH6Xk and I think this is really a folk genre.
I think the arrangement is too, let us say modern, especially the drums are too busy. At least to me. I liked the bonus one better and the simplicity of it.
Best to you, Alex
I realy tryed to do something diffrent then normal. And i believe i done it well :) - easy, free, happy, wide, posetiv .... and i love this drums. I think it gives this folk dynanic a real new, modern and fresh note. But for all the others is this bonus song :) old school bonfire music
this is really a great collaboration! The tone of your bass is full of harmonics and space, I really enjoy that a lot. Playing is so fine and it gets even more funky around 4:10 when using more slappy technique. Zappo's multiinstrumental work is impressive as always. Great music!
Thanks Alex!...I've always found funky style fun to play,I guess it was a pretty popular genre back in the day,and people still like it today it seems! lol...I saw Tower of Power in Paris back in the 70's,they were great with a big horn presence in the choruses, funk will never go out of fashion I think (and hope)..all the best Dave and Detlef :)
I really like the apparent simplicity of this one.
You said earlier that you actually imagine music first, then record it afterwards eventually...
I think that's an excellent way to become so called conscious musician. I am struggling a lot with all this at the moment when trying to internalize new patterns for keyboard improvisation (applying all the creative visualization and all the crap stuff and like)
Writing directly on daw is definitely limited for sure (but much easier) as it forces one to repeat the material too much.
It is a quite simple track but it is very consciously and cleverly directed and delivered!
Nice one.
"the apparent simplicity of this one.....quite simple track"
I'm curious as to why you say it's simple. All the guitar parts are rather involved, several different parts and layers. I guess it's the layout? Lack of keys and other midi besides strings and flute? Not offended, just curious. I try to make stuff more engaging and not repeating a verse/chorus over and over like 99 percent of mainstream Rock.
Thanks for your feedback. I'll try to keep from giving you a reason to call my music "simple". Gives me a new goal!
yes, coherent it is. it is actually sounding ok via internal laptop speakers when playing. you might consider pointing the sound source also, eventually link to the loops you're using (and of course lyrics if there are any). overall it is a nice try.
this is very enjoyable tune with good progressions (I somehow assume you have made the bassline here, am I right?). Sounds more like a complete composition this time - nice and gentle ending. Very catchy, smooth and easy-listening. Nice work.
Hello! I did make the bassline. I decided to take a break from EDM-related stuff, and make something different this time. I was originally going to add live keys and a possible guitar solo, but I figured, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Thanks again!
this is very nice. I like it alot! You are really into very different genres and this is what I find impressive. Also I like Oceanically's fragments usage but I can not say this is a coherent composition. I used that vocal to create a track earlier https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/159847
Thanks for allowing downloads. I will take listen to this one again for sure, maybe I will find it more coherent then haha.
Nice work! I whish you were more present here as a creator.
Thanks - I kind of agree. As I wrote below, I think about 30% of this is really good but it centers around the phrase and doesn't build as well as it could. Thanks for your kind yet candid comments.

hello. overall this is nice, kind of dark-coloured even. don't you think it's overproduced (too loud/distorted)? I can see that the actual waveform is much fatter than the actual looperman track space. just a thought. For example: there are some jungled bell sounds on the intro section but the sound quality is quite poor. I do know if it's the actual result of the mp3 compression or applying effects that distort the sound.
also to me there is far to much distortion on e piano but that's again my personal prefference.
so just sharing some opinions, feel free to disagree.
thanks for the feedback, Promenade! we went for a really gritty sound to this track, just a very dirty distorted feel to it. there is a bit of overproduction on it, it still isn't mastered, just a rough idea of what we're going with. thanks so much for the feedback, nrpther. that's why i put it up ;)
hi again, so this is really fine music with some interesting guitar chord progressions. very well organized composition. Nice work! It is a favourite of mine.
thanks for the reply. apart from your creepy production there are some tips and tricks for beginners producers lol. for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_progression lol. If you do not know the melody technology the autotune thing is the only way.
I can't understand dubstep genre at all. At least on looperman.
autotune? no thanks, i know its popular to use it but i say NO to autotune,, i dont really like it, and this sounds so natural and original without autotune.. thos whores dont deserve autotune hahaha
hey. so first of all I am not really a producer, I would consider myself being rather a musician in general if that makes sense. I really appreciate what you did on here. Thanks for uploading a complete composition!
It is a bit strange to me that you need to build up such a long let's say 'lead-in' element from 3:45 to 4:00 to create a tension-release kind of polarity but again: I do not listen to modern dance electronic at all.
very cool. I truly am enjoying this a lot. Very creative compositionin in a fusion manner. There is a feeling in here that you conduct it with such an ease throughout although the expression is really evocative.
Thanks Man...
For me I was just having fun, trying out this new Guitar got more
Guitars now then I know what to do with...

Glad you like it and for your comment...
hello Epic. very skillfully produced one. I am impressed!
I really like the way the composition is structured - still quite simple but very creative and different from the usual looperman trap repetitive beats I guess. some sweet synth melodies and little additions here - the favourite was definitely danke's synth loop. great sound!
Still I can't stand long bass notes and the same drum kits over and over again in trap music hahaha actually it sounds annoying to me... and of course that is the reason for avoiding that type of music.
I find the instrumentation type from 1:18 very interesting (the stick percussive sound is too prominent and the vocals need more presence - just my personal opinion).
I really enjoyed kind of soft ballad approach here. I think some of the chords didn't fit too much at places the melody line...
All in all very fine work on this one - I like your vision!
Hey Alex.
I was thinking the same about chords.... Yeah. What do you mean with "prominent" on stick? Should be better with a closed hat, or just leave the stick and reduce it a bit?
Well, that is a helpful comment and thank you for that.
Take care my friend. Peace.
Chris
wow! this is cool. it has the real power. it will sound powerful on any device, there's no way around it!
I just came here to see if my green 'promenade' account is still there - right at this moment I find myself listening to your music... but seriously this is very cool synth jam eventhough it is fully controlled in a way (which is always the case). fine vocal sampling (thanks! - I always appreciate when members are posting lyrics haha) and it has a perfect length for a song (3:44 is nice also).
I assume this would be an older idea developed/finished currently. Am I right? Just curious about the creative process.
Hey Alex, I appreciate you being the first one to listen and comment (again!). Happy you found it to be a synth jam, as really the "jam" in the title only referenced the ending, vocals sample and overall feeling. Just thought adding the lyric would be humorous. I started working on this one September of last year, and worked it on and off throughout the winter... then switching over to FL studio 12, I started working it again. The power really comes from some of the devices used for some of the audio, namely the tyco hotkeyz... It is a very analog sounding thing, partly due to the filter section (or "wah" as it is noted on the toy). It's been heavily modified with gain/resonance/range type additions. Never been great at the hardcore style, but I think this one works pretty good. It's the first song based on this toy. Thank you again for your comment.
this is some really fine production from you. Well written, solid played, nicely balanced... but too short!
definitely a rock territory for me, not ambient that much (more cinematic - rock band with orchestra kind of thing even). Too bad I can hear the mp3 format distortion on the orchestra tracks from 1:34. was it intentional?
I can remember some trance-style synth presets on your older metal song - here no difference (I can hear them on the intro section) but this particular combination still works really fine.
Somehow I find the chord progressions from your song sounding quite similar to the cello intro of 'Suffering' - a composition by Danielsson/Mozdzer/Fresco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE0Avd0uV1g
From my view and experience it seems like there are no sounds in depression at all. Actually it is the apparent and temporary state of absolute lack of creativity. I have forced myself to create and tried to put myself in apparent 'creative' situations to break that state many times over last few years. Partially that's why I am here now on looperman creating the tracks. I think 'depression' is a very profound statement (and ultimate state of being) in opposite to 'sadness' which is only a temporary mood. It may be only a play of words as well.
I do like trance style synth and I am notorious for melding unlikely styles without a care of what the purists think. If it sounds decent I will try it. Man thanks so much for the link to Lars Danielsson ! Amazing player and you can bet I will be trying to glean some of those scales and runs.
Yeah on this track I tried some solo improvisation. I studied Jazz guitar for a while and really got into the flamenco styles with its varied rhythms, fingered harmonics and strong use of scales, modes and arpeggios. I never really applied it much or got good enough to play at speed. This track is slow enough for me hit most of the notes. Layered the guitar tracks with some focal low register. I dig that Baritone.
I tend to think there is not much difference between depression and sadness sometimes. My usage here was referencing sadness with the loss and emptiness associated with the deaths of friends and loved ones. Depression on the other hand set in when I maybe dwelled on the subject too long. Realizing time is fleeting and age is creeping.
Thanks for the nice words here Alex. Oh and I will try to clean up that distortion you mentioned.
I love the extremely peaceful message of this piece. fine production as well! - so different from your other ones indeed. sweet and gentle reverb on vocals! the sound-image of this song reminded me a bit of 'In your wildest dreams' but only stylistically because your message here is so different and much more spiritual.
I am not familiar with guitar works by AllenV but I will check them out!
Fine drums on the intro section - I really like the resonance and grooves, whish you continue a bit longer with them throughout the track. wonderful quasi-oriental atmosphere, I am really enjoying this type of sounds.
Thanks also for nice comments on my last track. I had to delete that one and couldn't reply the comments, hope you do not mind.
