hey. yes, it was very heavy-sounding to me at very first listening. I love the powerful synth drum sound in here but still 'there's a limit in my (our) mind'.
'there's no amoooouuunt to my miiiiiiind' (lyrics by Oceanically) anyway.
It is so different from my vision. I want more of an empty free space!
Beside all that (which is a true looperman illusion) I enjoyed your creation!
Thank you for being the first to listen and comment on this song! You can always be relied on for valuable feedback and continued interest. "I want more of an empty free space!" - regarding this, I feel exactly the same way. The "limit" I speak of relates to the limits we set for ourselves, plus the limits placed on us by society, laws, and expectations. Then there are the physical limitations of the organ we call the brain. The limits I speak of are greatly enhanced by the close quarters of the human condition in this ghetto we call the earth. We all have our little boxes with fences around them (if we're lucky, sadly) - we are placed in position which forces us to defend these things with our lives and honor. Since not all of us value the same things, there arises dispute, and the limits of law come into play. This is all in our mind, but is constantly reinforced by external circumstances (which are in other's minds). Hope that clarifies my position a little. I'm happy you enjoyed listening and I value your comments!
I whish I had better awareness to what is really happening on the looperman track section currently but my attention is very selective now.
to me this piece is really dark coloured - very unlike from all of what I could hear from you last time. Probably it is too heavy even as I prefer lighter sounds - I am still searching for the proper convention here haha.
Thanks. To be honest at this point I can't really stop from combining a variety of sounds. The pads and the beginning samples are dnb samples, drums are obviously trap influenced, cinematic with classical elements included. Maybe a bit of ambience. Hell, I know it's quite the combo. lol Cool is always the goal too haha Stay cool Promenade. Thanks again. peace
thanks for the reply. I already managed to make a trrack (trackqq) out of ferryterry's guitars to your 'lovely bones' (them?): https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/167571
I am still awaiting the vocals you promised.
this is some really enjoyable tune, not really a proper 'song' that much for me but just a nice combination of different short instrumental solo sections and that is perfectly fine!
I find the bass line and the keys really inspiring. to me funk styles will always sound modern - they are a true source for a great amount of contemporary music.
I will check out the bands you mentioned, thanks for some nice inspiration.
hi again and thanks a lot for the reply! really good to hear the updates. I love what you did!
also I checked the vocaloid and this is some cool software. I was using a lot of Ivona 'text to speech' synth but never ever expected that vocaloid singing thing sounded that good. you have used it very well, I really like the little counter-melody work at places.
there are still some elements in the background (for instance: synth at 1:05) that in my opinion will require a little bit of work, maybe simply by adding straight chord progressions. to me all tracks of your song are actually playing very similar rhythm pattern... so it is a 'minimal approach' in a way and that's fine - I like your vision.
as for a 'proper song' thought: I need to hear much more powerful instrumental section that might balance somehow the long repetitive vocal passages here. your tune sounds to me like it is not that enough 'structured' so far but of course it is just the way of how I picture the eventual further development of it... will you be reworking this again by chance? if so I can always try to help you by adding something to this project...
Hey good to hear from you again!
First of all of course thanks that u like it!
I never really heard of ivona text to speach, but Maybe I will check it out later, sounds a bit interesting, since I love that kinda stuff to work with.
this track was the first timime I actually used Vocaloid and a Vocoder Over the vocaloid, its a pretty awesome tool I noticed.
I'm not sure what sound you mean at 1:05, I am guessing you mean 1:12 maybe?
Anyhoo my Tracks are usually inspired by daft punk, and usually make repetitive tracks, this was not meant as a 'proper song' actually, but I can understand why you say that because of the small instrumental breaks I put it, I purely did that to fill up the song a bit with only instruments and no vocals.
I wasn't planning on changing this song again, but if you want you can try to add stuff, I am kinda curious what kinda stuff you would do with it.
the song is free to download as you know, the BPM is 160 and I use the measure 3/4 :D hope to hear from you again!
hi. I really like your vision but somehow I find the vocals not present and articulated enough. maybe it's only because I am listening on headphones now... I can't understand the words, can you post the lyrics sometime? I noticed many people on here do not even bother to do that. I think you might even consider introducing other layers on the second section of the track, it can help breaking the 'repetitivity'. repetitive music is powerful as well but I say that because your production sounds more like a proper 'song' to me.
You have a good ear.
To be honest, I listened back to the song and was deeply dissapointed with the vocals, it doesnt sound how I want them to sound, I am well aware of that and fixing what I can in a frew minutes after writing this.
Usually I write lyrics on this site on my tracks, but had the feeling that most people didnt even notice I did, so I just skipped it this time, but I can write them no problem (though they usually dont make any sence, that is how I work :p)
Also the reason you cant make out the words is, because I usually use VOCALOID to do the singing, which is a japanese instrument that produces japanese words, though this version usual english words, regardless the words are barely recognisable
I hope to be able to fix the vocals to be more present indeed, thanks for the input.
hi. I was aware of your looperman music before but for some reason never really had a chance to play it. happy I finally managed to do that because it is really some great vocal take here! congrats to you both, simply keep up the production!
all the best, alex
hello. I just had a chance to listen to some of your works on here and really enjoyed the orchestral pieces.
this one has very fine relaxing kind of vibe too. simply keep producing.
hello. good to see you producing. I really like the first section (till 1:00). it's very stylish and makes me think of Ambient Galaxy or Enlightened Evolution from 90's Astral Projection. I must say all that modern synth screaming dubstep stuff introduced later on your track scares crap out of me as it is far away from my listening prefferences but I can really appreciate the effort and production. keep at it.
hi. agreed with the comment below. it's far too sketchy. I think your vocal is powerful. you might consider only working a little bit more on technical side of the voice recording. so keep recording!
Thanx . Your comment is much appreciated :) please free to help me in any way if you think so coz im not a proffessional singer yet . i will rectify myself according to you guys honest useful comments thats y im here so that i can improve myself . Thanx a bunch . Just wanna rock the world with my voice one day :(
hi mr Doctor. this is a kind of a happy tune. when the hihats come in at 1:32 it sounds almost like a techno track, at least to me. it is a bit too straightforward for a very proper house but still a good try. keep up the production!
hi again. this is very minimal (and tribal). that weird uuuu vocal sound around 0:30 reminded me of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWUTYcRm9Vo I think the feel on the vocal is different - I do not mean really the actual 'fuck you' message but the way you sing here is very special. Definitely it sounds different from your current vocal productions.
At some point of in the near future I will be exploring synths a little bit further, maybe I will come up with interesting sounds which may fit your minimal visions eventually, who knows... will you be interested in making a kind of a 'collab' then? that might be something experimental - I am thinking of a very raw kind of synthesizer explorations, not really proper 'songs'...
I was trying to reply to this a few minutes ago when I got an unpleasant knock at the door, not someone who I want to answer to. But here I am again! I appreciate your comments on an older track of mine. Still happy with the circuit bent stuff on hear, and the idea of the words. I would be very happy to collaborate with sometime, especially if it's closer to winter. As an organic gardener, my summers get kind of crazy sometimes. Thank you again for your words, and patience while a waited to reply.
I am really enjoying the quality of the recording and the arrangement on this one. Everything sounds wonderfully clean and transparent, little piano additions were cool.
fine chillout (christian chillout?).
Congratulations and simply keep up the production!
Glad you liked it. I was doing my best to get the song crispy and balanced without making the sibilances painful or noticeable and it seems to have paid off. I tried doing a mixing technique of PULLING DOWN unimportant track volumes instead of PUSHING UP the ones I wanted to be heard. I think Spivkurl was the one who mentioned this and he is definitely correct - it makes for a much more malleable end-product that can be mastered/compressed with great ease. All I did was boost the high end with a slight curve (max of about 3.4 dB) and since the bass was too overwhelming on the first version of this song, I pulled down the bass track a bit and then cut away about 1.2 dB of low end. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this one.
hi. there's lots of samples in here covering the main message (at first) but overall production very positive and really cool sounding. female vox sexy as always in opposite to male additions. both timing works perfectly (as always). limiter is limiting the power of the music and audio, no exeptions. just a thought. less is more (in a sense).
thank you for your insight alex as always your right on the mark...still developing my mix/master skills as you can tell...really i need a break from the BOX and want to focus on writing for a lil while, lemme know if you intereseted in working on a lil Loopy Collab with me and Xel..we are looking to expand our network of friends on the net and want to start right here
I never heard of Ultravox before but this one definitely contains some elements of older soft electronic mixed also with other, typical for relaxation background music.
There was an online radio station playing only soft ambient older electronic like this I was listening a lot at a time, your tune will fit perfectly there. To me it is still more an ambient territory. Old styled, but the syntesizers you're using do sound rather modern and complex. Is this just a multi-layered kind of pad playing the main melody line? ok... as always I am interested more in technology of the process of making a track than politics.
Well....to hell with politics then:)So....in terms of making things this one is a bit of a mixed bag, There is some multi-layering but only in certain sections, yet I have to apologize that I really don't have a knack (and time)for explaining all the technical details unless when the whole thing really sums up for something very " extra-special" to me, or maybe when the actual work is extra-special to someone I'm discussing with!
Otherwise, I have to say big thank you for taking a time to listen and posting this comment!:)
hi. so I can only say that finding someone to sing over your track is a very rare event on here. I posted many tracks so far but there was only one vocalist who spontaneously created vocal part to my track (which was cool).
but anyway good luck!
to me there's too much of strange frequencies coming from the background synth throughout your track. but piano and other synths are ok.
this is simply a cool track. Reading the comments below was so enjoyable experience, I never expected to hear such funky sounds from you listening so much to your actual trance works. I am happy to discover some connections to ferryterry's works - he is my favourite performer on here!
Mate thank you...Sometimes I surprise doing other genre's sometimes not great but is something different from trance to challenge myself...Plus enjoy trying something new and put my stamp either good or bad on another genre lol...Peace n Respect Alex...Mosaic...

Nice that you found some time for listen to this one, while all this "things" happend in the looperversum :)
The plan was to make a real deep and dark metal one.
Phatkatz called it nightmare, so it couldn´t be light
But overall it isn´t that evil :)
