Very fine music. I remember listening to this song the other day and I really enjoyed it. This time is no difference. I love these eastern sounds you merged into the composition. Your production skills are very impressive. Best to you, Alex
Hi FR, for sure you found some nice way to combine these loops again and this is an another very fine 'trancy' electro stuff from you. The first seems to have this nice minimal sound-image, I like how you build up the second one as well! Keep up the productions. Alex
niiice. this song has this sweet 'live session' sound. nicely arranged and profesionally performed although it's hard to say at first which parts were added later. I assume it is an 'arrangement' to the acapella and it is really good. Great jod - really nice playing. Thanks for sharing. Alex
Yes, this is 100% live and also, yes, to an arrangement to Patricia's pella. Drums were the last added. Franco coordinated all musicians and send the individual tracks to Scott for drums, arrangement and mixing.
Anyway, glad you like it and thanks for your time and comment.
mystical metal? I guess it's all about this dark sound-image.
But I liked that filtered experimental guitar sound at 1:18 that really reminded me of Spivkurl's 'Psyhodelic Sammich'. I liked the middle section with an interesting combination of guitar playing and choirs. There's some nice dark synth passage as well. Overall there's so much layering of distorted sounds in here that I can't very properly recognize what is actually happening at parts. I will listen to it again soon - now I have only a little time. It seems like it is too much for me at once. I appreciate very detailed work you did on this track. Alex
Hey there. I wondered what you might think of this one as it's definitely not the kind of thing you're into.
I figured that the more chilled out middle section would be your favourite.
I really hope there isn't so much distortion going on that you can't recognise parts. Maybe it seems that way because you don't listen to much (any?) heavy music. I do listen to lots of it so my ears are very familiar with it (and much heavier sounds than I'm using here).
I try to keep my distortion carefully controlled so that things remain reasonably clear, melodic and with a good groove at all times.
"It seems like it is too much for me at once."
Maybe it will make more sense if you listen again. But no problem if it doesn't - you can't like everything, even if you appreciate the detailed work going on (same as in all my tracks).
"mystical metal?"
Yes - I think the choir voices add the mystical element though you don't hear them much in the heavier actual metal sections. I wanted to get them playing more over the heavy stuff but it didn't quite work out so the guitar and bass took over. Maybe I'll achieve this some other time in another track.
hi. interesting creation - kind of glitchy, industrial even. There's some melodic elements in the second section of the instrumental but overall it sounds like an abstract combination of sounds to me. I like the filtering on vocals from about 2:48 mark. Reminds me of one song from Janelle Monae 'ArchAndroid'.
Very original style. Nice work. Best, Alex
hi alex, thank you for your find words, it is indeed an abstract combination of sounds feelings tones colors and lyrical ideas. It kinda goes with the theme of the song.
I am glad to hear some of my then very new and untested vox fx have been received well, i wish i could go back and do my vocals over to be quite honest.
Funny enough the first half of the song as far as the drums go atleast, where made entirely on my IMaschine for ipad, which i was experimenting with alot at the time. SImple tools to help sketch ideas are why i am an "I" kinda guy,,,,
Thanks again ill be posting new tracks this week. hope u will check them out
hi. nice minimal work. I said 'minimal' because you seem to operate effortlessly with just a little amount of elements. I really enjoyed the sound quality and the harmonc structure of the song. Peaceful and enjoyable work. Best, Alex
hi. unlike d3relict I think it is very well built up. I do not really believe in any 'development' and that we should move somwhere on the track each moment. I love that repetitive minimal in the middle section. I can't remember listening to this particular one form JAwGuy now but I hear that you stick with the original very closely which is great. Love the elements you added. Good job. I really enjoyed the song. Best, Alex
Thank you Alex for your continued support. I love the fact that you enjoy that I "stick very close to the originals". My reason for this is, 1. I really want the original author to really feel that I respect his creativeness, 2. My main objective is to just give thanks. My reason for this is clearly the fact that each project that I upload I seem to get just a tad bit stronger, and I can only achieve this accomplishment by inspiration of just listening to you fellow music lovers :). So if you really want to see who should get credit for my work, you should only think of the people I choose to Remix or Edit.(Their Tracks of course) lol. :P . Thank you once again Alex for taking the time to give my music artistic compassionate criticism . True Artists can obviously tell music has no limits nor rules. " If it makes pleasurable sense with sound then it has to be a work of art !" -EazyBeatz ;) P.s Stay Tuned!!!!
hi. this is very cool track - the guitar playing is quite simple in a way but the processing you added was excellent. Very fine downbeat vibes! That's what chillout is all about. Now after listening to your tropical track I feel like just being totally chilled out. Great work - too much details to comment. All is pure electronic. Just to let you know I enjoyed it! Best, Alex
hi Zank, I will listen again to Jazz From Hell and try to figure it out. I mean your actual point of reference. I will do it tomorrow. For sure. Best, Alex
hi FR, this is very funky, it moves nicely. Really solid sound. Lots of good vibes here. That bouncy stuff at the end is excellent. Thanks for sharing. Best, Alex
Cheers Alex, I'm glad you managed to make it as far as the third part. Sometimes I think these ten minute tracks are a bit too long for most peoples attention span.
Thanks again for dropping in and leaving your thoughts.

hi Dan,
I really enjoyed listening to this again eventhough it is no longer the same track! I find it very funky even more now. Maybe it is too much 'computerized' but I love the unexpected direction it takes. The reverb and the ambiance reminds me of some mysterious temple again which is nice.
I enjoyed following your creative journey again! Thanks for some great inspiration.
Alex
yea - the tracks tend to evolve. plus I don't have much control over how they evolve. I just try to keep up with the demon inside. thanks for coming back for more! best wishes. Dan
I agree: very cool, laidback, stylish and chilled.
I think there are some excellent jazz musicians like ferryterry or Marc Brouwer on soundcloud (I just discovered him! https://soundcloud.com/marc-brouwer ) who can make something really good with the track like this.
Anyway the beat sounds great just as it is now.
Simply nice work on very soothing sounding track! Alex
excellent stuff. really great and loud sounding mechanical experimental simple dance music. I will take some time to read the forum post again but anyway this is a great track. I do not believe that there's some teory needed to create music like this but I must say I love the sound-image of the track. Congrats, Alex
hi SJ, I started with listening the loops and acapella.
This is definitely your style! - some phased filtering and interesting choice of vocals. To me the song sounds very experimental, industrial-like. The 'drum and bass loop' is played far too slow (to me). But overall it is nicely merged together and this is your another good job. Best, Alex
hi Zank, this track definitely is much more 'serious' than your last one. It's still quite short but that's very fine. I really liked it. Thanks for sharing. Alex
Humor does not belong in music. I do not agree, the song is not short. It is 1:07 minutes too long.
And I read that as "Thanks for sharing Alex", but I won't do!
hi, this is some excellent ambient. Definitely different form all of what I am doing at the moment but very unique and really 'eastern'. You are offering some mysterious soundscape - I can entirely dive into it.
Alex
nice work with the vocals - I really enjoyed what you did already with starring creeps but here the overall arrangemet is just excellent. It's really funky! My only criticism would be that you might fade out the song properly. It doesn't mean that there's some 'proper' ending for a song at all. Other than I much enjoyed it! Alex
very fine work - I really enjoyed this one. Probably this is close to what we could call 'minimal' music. At least at the very beginning of the track... I thought you might experiment with the delay effect on guitar even more to get the dub/reggae feel but instead there's a great amount of electronic glitchy sounds (I liked some toms as well) which is very nice also. I guess the 'dub' sound-image is only a result of mixing the tone of that guitar and the electronic sounding loops. I like that part from about 2:21 with some interesting bass filtering. At 3:15 it reminds kraftwerk for a while but with some bluesy, very eastern sounding guitar (at 3:26). Bassline sounds really good in here (as always). Very solid piece of music and really creative, detailed work on the track. Alex
Hello friend, I appreciate the feedback on this one! Interesting that you think of it as minimal, it seems we must have different interpretations of that word when it comes to music... maybe compared to other recent efforts I've done it is more minimal though. That's not a bad idea to experiment with the delay on the guitar more. I guess I was focusing on other sorts of automation with this one. I often steer away from to many changes in delay on a single channel, as it can really disrupt the timing of everything. More the delay was there on one of the guitar tracks to create an overall tone and stereo image when combined with the other. The main guitar parts (aside from the overdriven slide part) were recorded as two mono tracks, one through the direct box, and one on my old kustom 2x12. I think the effect on the direct recording helped with the overall tape recorded feel. To me, the "dub" of this song comes from the tempo, the lower bass line, and the specific effects used... plus a little bit of skank to the rhythm guitar parts. It's funny that I often hear people bringing up kraftwerk when hearing my stuff, as I have barely ever listened to their stuff... I take it as a compliment though all the same. Interesting as well that you found the guitar in the outro to be eastern sounding, I'm thinking it must be the slide playing. Thank you very much for all your supportive reviews!
