on Uno (the 1 Loop song) by DonnieVyros
Good idea, and you made it work. You thought about doing another version of this but multi layered, you could easily make a whole tune out of it

Yeah mate. I'll probably try my hand at this again, but I don't think that I'll use the same loop. There's actually one that I like more (and think I can do more with) that I'll go with. L&R!

on No Name Yet by aaz
Hi aaz, this was good for a first track. Did you use loops or sequences for the leads (like the one that comes in at about 41 seconds)? If not, amazing job but if so don't worry, i can tell you have a good grasp from whats here and you'll only get better until you can without a problem.
Try leading each new section in with a build up or something. Listen to some trance that you like and just take a note of the structure of it; how they lead onto new parts and what the new parts are doing. This will give you a good idea of how you can improve your track.
Good job anyway!

on Bitter inside by Seroksaty
25th version, wow, thats dedication! I thought it was very good and i think there is only 1 thing missing that would make this top notch... vocals. Either sing on it yourself or get someone else to, thats all i think you need to do to it (well, if you did, you might need to tone down the guitar solos in a couple of places so they don't overpower the vocals). Nice job anyway!

on cheese this muva by bones2008
If you aren't happy with certain parts the thing to do (as blakestringer said) would be to think about how you could improve it but apply it in your next tracks. I could go back to my first track (light and dark) and try to improve it with what i know now, but i don't think it would get better than the stuff i'm making now. Overall, i think you had some good ideas in there, it was just a bit hardcore compared with what i'm used to, but thats just my tastes.

on Its_magic by EDECHERS
Good job, it was pretty interesting, not really heard much like that before. Btw, what was the synth you used that comes in at about 1:57? I like the sound, think it would sound good in some psytrance
EDECHERS
EDECHERS replied Unknown
thanks for listen ... well that synth i made it using a ts404 and fruit love filter..

on Prevalance by Acrylic
Cool track, kind of think i follow what you were saying in the forum but it probably depends on the synth you use, it makes a world of difference
Acrylic
Acrylic replied Unknown
Aw right i shold have mentioned that... it works best with harsh waveforms, like Saws or squares or Sawsines. And i rarely use complex plugins for theese synths.. usually a single saw ocsilation, then in the inserts ill add the lowpass followed by reverb, delay, etc... sometimes distortion before all of this. This doesnt work to well on paddy synths or thick textures.. anyhow... thought id share that thx for the review.

on A Depressing Euphoria by Acrylic
Starts off depressing, but then (like xxyoung said) you killed it off! I've never really used the 3xosc but from hearing this i think i'll have to look into it, cracking job mate!
P.s. What did you use for the strings?
Acrylic
Acrylic replied Unknown
Thx the strings were from a vsti, edoirl orchestral.

on pure tone by torrence528
For something you were just messing around with (in 1 day??), i think you did an awesome job. Its nice and relaxed and the roughness of the pad gives it a unique feel, might be interesting to hear it clean though if you do a remix or something

Quality stuff, it made me feel like i was in the chrono trigger world or something, similar kind of style to some of the music from that game

I think you can add industrial to the fusion list too because the beat sounded fairly industrial to me. Amazing how you made it all fit together and work, good job!

on the final test by chrudosh
Nice track! I like the variety and changes throughout, and the d&b and instrumentals work together excellently. The only criticism i have is that it could be a tiny bit smoother in places when the drums cut back in.

on Frantic D by Artwatcher
Sounds very cinematic, would go well in a film like everyone else is saying. I especially like the drum beat, its very amethystium, good job!
Artwatcher
Artwatcher replied Unknown
Thank you, I was not familiar with Amethystium so your comment was enlightening. I downloaded three of his albums and can hear what you're referring to. That guy is copying me, ha ha. Seriously, your input is very helpful to everyone here.

Nice tune, i think you did a good job! I think you could make it a bit better by changing a couple of the drum synths, but all good apart from that :)

The bass and beat at the start set it up perfectly. The only criticism i have is that you could try varying the main synth a bit later on or adding a layer
